Horrible...
1 July 2000
This movie made me realize why I didn't watch the cartoon as a child: It's not funny. I had hoped that any project with Robert DeNiro and Jason Alexander would be worth the price of admission and had thought that my kids (aged 10 & 5) would enjoy this film. Unfortunately, even my five year old thought it "just wasn't funny". I hope DeNiro made a lot of money because he lost a lot of my respect by involving himself in something so crappy. The only person involved in this "film" that merited any consideration was Jonathon Winters, who could have been funny at the Neuremburg Trials. A viable alternative to the death penalty would be repeated viewing of this movie. I rated it a 2 out of 10.

I concur wholeheartedly, this is a classic...

First there was the Bicycle Thief, then Citizen Kane, Gone With the Wind, Doctor Zhivago, Gahndi, and now Hard Ticket to Hawaii. Breathtaking cinematography and cunning script writing make this a must-see for all who aspire to create "films" rather than movies. Dona Spier (grossly ignored by the academy) spews forth her lines with an enthusiasm unseen since the great Shakespearean actresses of the 18th century. Andy Sidaris is a shrewd judge of talent and is horribly underestimated, as his films are usually ignored at the Cannes and Aspen film festivals. I rate this a 10.

The Sopranos (1999–2007)
Compelling! Raising the standards of TV single-handedly.

This show is the only reason I pay for HBO. A close look at a mob family from an angle completely unexpected. Watch this show once and you'll agree that it's the best series on television. Amazingly, you'll find yourself pulling for, and even sympathizing with, a group of mobsters. Alternately funny and horrifying. Superb casting and directing. I rate this show a 10 out of 10 because I can't think of a better series ever.

An apparently forgotten classic...

Gone but not forgotten, this series was a showcase of talent that launched the careers of Martin Mull, Mary Kay Place and several others.
