Excellent movie, although unrealistic
3 June 2000
This movie was really good in my opinion. I thought all of the actors did an excellent job. In fact, had this movie been released in November or December, there would have been at least a few Oscar nods. Natalie Portman and Ashley Judd literally shines in this movie and Dylan Bruno was a character you love to hate. However, being a cashier at a Wal-Mart, I know that it would be impossible for the character to live in a Wal-Mart for 6 weeks. They do a thorough check of the place before locking up as well as they have night stockers. My only other complaint is that with Sister Husband giving her a place to stay and Wal-Mart giving her a job, it really glamorizes her situation--giving the message that if you live in a Wal-Mart and give birth there, they will give you a job.

It Takes Two (1995)
Cute movie, but...

I have always liked the Olsen twins and thought both did a good job in this movie. And the movie helped show the twins unique personalities. The only reason why I give this movie a nine out of ten is because of one scene early in the movie. The twins are supposed to be role models for young children and in one scene, Mary Kate says a questionable word and a child can pick up on this. That scene would have worked better without the word.

A good movie with a good message
23 September 1999
I can't see this movie enough! Patrick Dempsey's character goes through what most teenagers face--doing whatever it takes to be popular. And in the process, he loses it identity and alienates his old friends. He is also so blinded by popularity that he doesn't even realize that his main objective in being popular--Cindy--is the one he is hurting the most. I think this movie gives a good message to teenagers that what is more important than popularity is to "be yourself."

Trashy

This was only the second movie I have ever walked out on!!! I consider it nothing more than soft core porn. I like Reese Witherspoon and Matthew Broderick, which was why I wanted to see it. But teachers talking about having sexual relations with their students and the scene where Broderick is watchig a porn movie and they show graphics on that was too much. This movie should have been rated NC-17
