Ad Astra (2019)
If you're expecting a typical Hollywood sci-fi this ain't for u
Unlike many I didn't find this movie boring, I thought Brad Pitts performance and introspection was interesting and engaging. Just lose the goddam feral baboons.. not necessary for a movie like this..
Alone in the Dark (2005)
ouch
like most people I wish I had read reviews before hiring this one. I feel it is my duty to push it's rating even lower as this movie has no redeeming features.. this movie is lower than B grade... try ZZZZZZZ grade. cause that is what it will do to you if you try to watch it.. I loved the comments by other users.. very amusing.. they more than made up for the movie... omigosh I have to write 10 lines of comments before I can submit this. OK this movie is crap this movie is crap this movie is crap this movie is crap this movie is crap this movie is crap this movie is crap this movie is crap this movie is crap this movie is crap this movie is crap this movie is crap this movie is crap this movie is crap this movie is crap this movie is crap this movie is crap this movie is crap this movie is crap this movie is crap this movie is crap
Teknolust (2002)
good to see something different
I rented this from my local video store. It was so surprising to see something like this available from them, as this movie is not their regular run of the mill movie they rent. I enjoyed it for it's originality. I haven't seen much with Tilda Swinton, but will be looking out for more of her movies in future.. PS. this site rocks, I find user comments more informative than any of the "critic" sites.
Vampires (1998)
don't hire it!!!
Save your hard earned money. I am amazed at the variety of comments about John Carpenter's Vampires. This is one I definitely disliked. A real B class effort, even my teenage kids thought it was rubbish. It was so bad I didn't bother watching to see how it ended. Go and watch something like, Interview with a Vampire, to at least see how to make a classy movie.
Playing God (1997)
better than your big Hollywood block busters
I enjoyed this movie. Unlike like some of the pumped up, steroid trash that is passed off as action movies, Playing God is simple and realistic, with characters that are believable, action that is not over the top and enough twists and turns to keep you interested until the end.
Well directed, well acted and a good story.
