Neverland (2011)

So far, so good!
4 December 2011
I've only seen part one so far, and I enjoyed it a lot. I like the characters, and the acting has been very good. The imagery is beautiful. I saw some very familiar faces. The costumes are all interesting as well.

I have wondered since I was young, how did Peter and the lost boys REALLY get to Neverland? Where did the Indians and pirates come from? And now I know! But how did Hook lose his hand, and what made him so mean? And how did the crocodile swallow the ticking clock? Looking forward to seeing part 2, so I can find out the answers to those and other questions.

A delightful and funny romantic movie
2 June 2008
I found this movie to be really cute and fun to watch. I love Hugh Grant anyway, but this movie was well written. There were a lot of little jokes that even my husband laughed at (and he's not a 'chick-flick' kind of guy.) He actually laughed out loud a few times! Anyway, this is about a 'has-been' singer who hopes to revitalize his career by writing a song. He has a 'plant lady' who ends up writing some lyrics, and off they go. The songs are good, the dancing is fun to watch, and there is a definite connection between the two main characters. It's definitely believable too. It's a movie to see again and again. Very heart-warming and sweet, with a satisfying outcome.

This is one fantastic movie
24 December 2007
I LOVED this movie. And so did my husband, who wasn't sure he was going to like it. There were symbols and signs that were extremely accurate to the story of Noah, and I really like that, because it shows that someone actually took the time to research before making the movie. The acting was very good, the costumes, it just felt and seemed genuine. It really shows how a man who cared only about making a name for himself changed into someone who cared about everyone and everything around him, which is the way we all should be. I will see this again, and again, and I will definitely recommend it. It's not just a comedy, I don't know what to call it. But I really liked it.

Best sports movie ever made.
6 April 2006
Hollywood has shown it's true colors. By not even nominating the movie that should have been the best picture of the year, we can really see that it's all politics. This movie was so unbelievably good, the acting was more than first rate, everyone in it should have won academy awards! Watching this movie, you really see what it was like to live during the depression, but you see the determination of this boxer, and the love he and his family members had for each other. It's a real feel-good movie, whether you like boxing or not (and I never did before.) There isn't a moment in the movie where my attention wasn't held. I couldn't turn away for a second. It made me want to watch it again as soon as it was over! The only thing I didn't like is that it makes Max Baer out to be a monster, and I know from older people who actually lived through this time and followed his career, that he wasn't. But that was it, the only thing about the movie that wasn't good. It was absolutely the best, and I would recommend it to anyone.

One of the Worst murder mysteries I've ever seen
10 January 2006
Okay, okay, I didn't come to IMDb first to read that this was considered a comedy/mystery. I wish I would have, but I don't think it would have mattered. It's hard to imagine a comedy made about a serial killer. It sure doesn't seem like a comedy, not until the fight scene at the end. Then it just seemed stupid, almost horrifying, to me. Most of the time, it seemed like a serious movie, that's why it was such a surprise. It starts out with the murder of the eleventh woman, the friend of the mayor's daughter. It's shocking and very sad. It moves on the the mayor yelling, the police chief yelling, everyone yelling, and a big fire with our 'hero' making his appearance. There really wasn't any comedy through 90% of the movie. I did enjoy seeing so many great stars in a movie together, and that's why I gave this movie as high as a 3!!

A funny, sweet movie about a guy who is tired of being a virgin. Be prepared to laugh out loud!
7 January 2006
I was pretty sure this movie would be good, because I like Steve Carrel, but I had no idea how much I would like it. It was funny, no, hysterical at times, without getting silly (well, maybe a little). I loved watching his buddies come up with idea after idea to "help" him be cured of his virginity. I like that he tries to stay true to who he is rather than changing to suit everyone else. I also liked the way the characters are so individual and real in their own ways. Not a single one of them were boring either. I was also very impressed by the main character's collection of action figures. I just loved the whole movie and will suggest it to all my friends. I also told my husband we're going to buy it!

Very good movie that I will see again.
10 February 2002
I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. It started out a bit slow, and sometimes the people are hard to understand because of the accents, but it was fun to watch, interesting, and very entertaining. It reminded me a lot of the "Upstairs Downstairs" t.v. series, which I'm sure it was supposed to, but a bit more "racey". I definitely want to see it again to catch what I missed the first time. The acting was wonderful too, with some familiar faces and some I've never seen before. Maggie Smith was great!

A delightful, romantic movie
14 April 2001
Bridget Jones is a woman who is tired of being lonely, tired of drinking and smoking too much, and who doesn't like her weight. She isn't picking the right men either. She decides to start keeping a diary, so she can see where to improve her life.

I really enjoyed this movie. It was satisfying, very funny, and very sweet. It's a great movie for lovers of all ages. The acting was terrific, Hugh and Colin were both BEAUTIFUL, and Renee is obviously going to be a very big star!
