Hannibal (2001)

Worth while sequel

This movie was an impressive follow up to 'Silence Of The Lambs.' I find the big reason for its (few, if not many) bad reviews is reading the book also titled 'Hannibal' before you watch the movie. Naturally almost every book ruins the movie for most people. The second reason is the missing Ms. Jodie Foster, who had audiences all over the world captivated by her performance in 'Silence.' If you don't mind the lack of Jodie Foster, and you haven't read the book, I generally think you'll find this movie to be very impressive.

Even people who HAVE read the book that I've talked to, have said that the movie was generally good. People who call this movie's first have very slow, just mean lacking in Hannibals cannibalism. But other than that, the first half is good too.

Over all, I would give this movie an 8 out of 10 which I define as very good and worth your while to sit down and watch.

Bring It On (2000)

I thought this movie was jive, the cheerleading and gymnastic moves sequences were fun to watch, very well done. Plus it was pretty funny too, but I like these kinds of movies, and I luv to watch cheerleading competitions, so thats why I enjoyed it. But I think unless you're a teenager and/or a cheerleader, this movie won't exactly be your cup of tea.

This movie didn't exactly capture the hearts of millions of people, but it got my attention. I personally enjoyed this movie, it was well directed, well acted, and it had a subtle message, and I like that in movies. I think the fact that the movie is based basically on sex, kinda throw's people opinions of it, but it really depicts sex, some of the insights I thought were pretty deep, my overall review is... its a good movie that will get you thinking.

Jaded (1998)

I thought this movie was okay

I disagree with the other comments made about this movie, because I didn't think the movie was all that bad, I mean, it had a good point to it, which is in the tagline, not all preditors are men, which goes to show us women that we shouldn't just go hating men because they rape women, because women can just as easily cause just as much physical and emotional pain from the damage of rape. Before I watched this movie I didn't even KNOW it was possible for a women to rape another women, so it's opened my eyes WIDE open. I also thought that Carla Gugino's acting was excellent too, she must of had to dig deep to do this role. And I didn't think the rest of the acting was all that bad either. My overall rating of this movie, would probably be 7/10 which is farely good, since not many movies make it past 5 and 6. If you like an intense film about rape, you would like this one. The only foibles I had with this movie was as was mentioned earlier, the "no show" court case that everyone expects, they shouldn't have let the chase for the offenders gone on so long, so that they could have fit the court scene in, it just would have made the movie so much better.

Brokedown Palace (1999)

Really Good Movie

When I saw all the advertisements on t.v. for this movie back in the summer time, I DID intend to see it just for the shear joy of saying that I saw it, not expecting it to be that good, but boy was I DEAD wrong, I enjoyed this film greatly, it made me laugh and made me cry. Well, what else drove me to rent it was of course the lovely and VERY talented Claire Danes, and I also really like Bill :) This movie really moved me, shows you the loving relationship between two best friends and how one of them sacrafices their freedom for the greater good of giving the other friend freedom, but I wont give anything thing away for those of you who havn't watched it yet ~*smiles*~

Girl, Interrupted (1999)

Best film I've seen in 3 years!

I absolutely LOVED this film, its definetly my favorate movie (for now *lol*) I think basically what made this movie so good though is the two fabulous actress's it had in it, the two BEST ones in the world I think, Angeline Jolie and Wynona Ryder ~*smiles*~ They are both SO freakin' talented *lol* I always love watching their movies :) They especially did a VERY good job in this one. I really loved Angeline Jolies character, she was really cool, and the supporting actress's were really great, I always enjoy Clea Duvall and Brittney Murphy, they're both very talented too, so lets not forget to give them credit ~*S*~ Anyway's, this is the best movie I've seen in at least 3 years :) So those of you who havn't seen it, you definetly HAVE to! ~*smiles*~

Enjoyable Movie

Okay, I admit that this movie doesn't deserve any Oscar nominations, but all you people who have posted how bad it is, give it chance will ya! I mean, what is so bad about having sexual scenes and alot of swearing, what, are you people trying to hide from REALITY!! Obviously someone needs to take down the shield over your eyes, because wake up, this is what the world is all about!!! I thoroughly enjoyed this movie, John and Mira gave a great performance, as usual. And I just liked the storyline, I think its one of Spike Lee's BETTER movies personally.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997–2003)

The best series that has EVER been on t.v.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer, HAS IT ALL! It has, drama, it has horror, it has comedy. I have been watching it since the very beginning, I am so glad that its on its 4th season, and still going hard. The WHOLE cast of Buffy are so freakin' talented, extraordinary actors. I just love the humour in it, and especially the drama, every time there's a sad scene, it ALWAYS makes me ball my eyes out, you can't tell at all that their acting, it looks like they are actually feeling the pain the characters are going threw, especially Sarah and Alysson. I am literally addicted to the show, when it goes off the air, I dont know what Im going to do *laughs* Im 16, even my MOM watches it with me, she loves the show too, and she's 38 *lol* I dont care what the critics say, Sarah Micheelle Gellar CAN act, she's one of the best actresses going. She's so intense in her dramatic scense, you can just totally feel her pain. She always makes me cry. Joss Whedon is brilliant!

Foxfire (1996)

Empowering movie

This movie spoke to me, literally, watching it, I could feel what the characters were feeling. I love watching movies about the bond/friendship between teenage girls coming of age, their just so real. The only problem with the movie that I had, was the part where they take Goldies dad hostage, I just can't see that happening in real life, plus it just wasn't like Legs to do that, the storyline just went way off there, but every other parts of the movie were fantastic! I liked the part where they broke into the school and all hell broke loose *laughs* that was funny. I just loved Angelina Jolies character 'legs' I wish I had her power. I ALSO recommend this movie to anyone who is a big Angelina Jolie fan like me *smiles* And dont listen to all those critics who say that its a lesbianish film, because its not, its just about the friendship that forms between five 18 year old girls.

The Limbic Region (1996 TV Movie)

Im friends with one of the actors

First of all, I would just like to say to everyone who has seen this movie, that the actor who played the "Transvestite" Is one of my friends, his name is Robert Dugdale, he's a terrific actor, although it doesn't say much about his filmography, he's been in several plays and musicals. He is currently residing in Terrace B.C. that is where I am from, he comes over to our house almost every saturday *laughs* Okay, now about the movie, I wouldn't recomend this to anyone who HASN'T seen it, for it is not a movie worth watching, the main reason I found it to be a bad movie is it never stays in place, it keeps bouncing back between time, so kinda hard to follow at some points, and second, its really boring *laughs* Although the acting is great, the movie just doesn't compare.

Once and Again (1999– )

This show is pretty good

When I saw the previews for this show it didn't look that good to me, but when I actually watched it, I was surprised by how good it actually was :) All the actors and actresses are good, but the only thing that bothers me is the storyline kind of tends to drag a little, but other than that, its a pretty good show *smiles*

The Other Sister (1999)

The best acting I have ever seen!

Juliette Lewis and Giovanni Ribisi were OUTSTANDING in this movie! These two actors deserve an academy award for their acting in this movie, I was just blown away! I mean, watching the this film, you would think that the two of them were actually mentally challenged. this movie is definetly a tear jerker, I know I cried. If you watch this movie, you'll probably fall in love with Giovanni's character *smiles* He plays him so well.
