My Girl 2 (1994)
I really liked this movie
I don't know what to say: i just really liked this movie. I even cried :-o Maybe I am just cheesie or too romantic, but what the heck.... In my eyes, the main storyline is not the search for the mother, but the discovery of those first loving feelings, the changing of the body, the transformation from childhood to adolescence, in short: it is a story about growing up. Something we all have gone through....its such a "feeling good" film: all people are friendly, there are no sorrows...
It gets a 7/10 (which is a lot coming from me, believe me)
The Vanishing (1993)
Suspense....
Despite the critics here, I thought it was a 'good' thriller. This movie touches the real emotions people experience when confronted with something like abduction.
* "The fear" when you discover that you have lost someone out of the eye. Right to the point where you realize that you have lost them.
* "The doubt" and the "need to know what happened", which is also found in reality and is even worse then knowing the throuth.
* The theme: "Curiosity killed the cat"
* The "burried alive" scene. Very spooky and realisticly filmed.
It did not know that this movie was a remake of a Dutch movie and since I am Dutch, I definetly am going to see that one....
Moulin Rouge! (2001)
Horrible.
This movie stinks...horrible.. If you wanna see a real musical, go see "Les Miserables"... I even don't wanna waste more words on it.. The whole scene is so unrealistic....and right from the start, the opening scene, confused and offended me...
Planet of the Apes (2001)
What a boring movie...
After looking at monkeys (oops apes) for more than one hour, I was feeling like one too. I was an ape, spending money on this movie. Please people, hold you money in your pocket and go see some funny movie like Bridget Jones's Diary..
Tesis (1996)
Shocking...
Compared to this movie, the movie "8mm" is peanuts !! Tesis has the same subject as 8mm: snuff movies. Although Tesis is a low budget movie, compared to 8mm, it is incredibly much more shocking, exciting, thrilling, unpredictable. The movie rolls continiously from one suspense scene into an another.
Just one advice, don't watch this movie before going to sleep...
The Matrix (1999)
EXCELLENT !
I have seen this movie more than three times now and I'm planning to buy the video (and you have to believe me: I don't buy many videos, but I'm willing to make an exception for "The Matrix" ). In my eyes, this movie is the ULTIMATE S-F movie ! It has everything a good movie needs: EXCELLENT, REMARKABLE plot, special effects, action scenes, drama...
This movie is a real mindjob....
I don't understand why this movie has not got more attention. It is WAY WAY better then the new Star Wars !!!
