Full Throttle (1995)
Pretty darn good
This game's a great time waster, fun from the first frame till the credits and the funny little bit after them.
Sure, the story's pretty thin, but the images are great, the music's great and the game's so much fun.
So, on a rainy day, why not head out on the ol' mine road for a while?
Meet the Feebles (1989)
A very Feeble film
I reflect on why I saw this film and I think is was because of sheer boredom, in the end I was not even the slightest bit less bored, but then again, why whinge.
Although this film has a transparent script, this film did not miss any opportunity for any sex, sex references, drugs and drug references and the possibility of an excretion of any sort, as well as bodily functions, voluntary or involuntary. A quite remarkable feat when you think about it.
This is a leave your brain at the door type film, and that's a good thing every once in a while.
Todo sobre mi madre (1999)
All about this film
This film is one of Almodovar's best. It has a very strong storyline and strong characters.
Manuela is a wonderfully strong character and is played exceptionally well by Cecilia Roth. A simply awe inspiring performance.
Although some people would find some of the characters a little hard to understand and accept, but that's part of Almodovar's wonderful ways of filming people from all walks of life.
If I had to rate this out of 10, I'd give in 9 out of 10.
The Green Mile (1999)
Brilliant ... absolutely brilliant
This film is a masterpiece. I can not praise it enough. Although it is on a rather unpleasant subject I found it a very moving and excellent film.
I haven't cried so much in a film ever before this. It is a very powerful, wonderful film. Although some parts are shocking and horrible, and the subject is distasteful, you can not be anything but moved by it's relevance and mature approach to a very controversial topic.
I myself do not really enjoy Stephen King films, but I am willing to say that this film (and book by S. King) are a masterpiece.
Festen (1998)
An absolutley fascinating film.
When this film finished, not one of the 13 people in the cinema spoke, this film is powerful and very complex. The characters are played expectionally well and the Dogme setting only makes it look like a home film gone horribly, horribly wrong.
This film, although not entertaining, is excellent and deserves every award it recieves.
The characters are strong and complex and the actors pull them through well. If you ask me, on a scale of 1 to 10, this film gets a definate 10.
