The Pretender (1996–2000)
Addictive
30 January 2002
I remember watching this show when it first started (I was in 7th grade) and completely loving it. Then, I stopped watching, I assume, because I couldn't fit it into my schedule. I got hooked again when I saw "Pretender: Island of the Haunted" last December, and now I watch the show everyday on TNT. I just can't get enough of it! Something about it makes you just seem glued to the TV. I don't know why this show was cancelled as it was so great (even its final season), but I am glad that they made a few movies. Hopefully that will continue! New and old Jarod fans appreciate it!!

GREAT MOVIE!!!!!!!!!
30 July 2001
I really really liked this movie!!! It was nice to see a movie that teens will appreciate without the crude humor. I read the book first, knowing that I would see the movie and wanted to see the differences between the two...THERE WERE TONS!!!!! Don't get me wrong, I loved both the book and the movie, but it seemed as if the only thing that was the same was the concept...and most of the people's names. They weren't even in the same city!!! The actors did an awesome job, and even Mandy Moore was believable as Lana Weinberger. Too bad Erik von Detten had a jerk for his part...Anne Hathaway was great, and she will be in many movies in the next few years after this performance. Julie Andrews was, of course, awesome...Could you expect less? In the book, one of the major topics was Mia's mom dating her teacher, but it was only mentioned in the movie. They went into more detail with Michael in the film though, and I didn't mind, because I found him strangely attractive...Hehe!!! Good looking guy, let me tell you!! Anyway, this was a great movie, for it being rated "G", and I can't wait to see it again when it is released on the 3rd!!!!!! A wonderful tale of finding yourself, and I would recommend it to MANY people!!!!

Jena is amazing!
26 July 2001
I saw this movie last night for the first time on the Odyssey Channel, and it is on again now. I thought it was brilliant, and nobody could have matched the way Jena Malone brought Ellen to life. Jena is one of my favorite actresses (I've seen 3 of her movies this month!) and I have been a fan of hers for a long time. I think that this is one of her most powerful roles, and she did a great job in her portrayal as the child of an alcoholic father being shuffled from relative to relative after her mother dies. Jena is definitely going to be a major actress when she gets older, as her acting talents are unbelievable. :)

The Facts of Life (1979–1988)
You take the good, you take the bad, you take them both and then you have THE BEST!!!

This is one of the BEST SHOWS EVER!!!! I love, love, love it so much! I almost always refuse to miss it since I am on Winter Break right now...I have recorded every episode aired this past week!! Hehe!! Blair (Lisa Whelchel) is absolutely the best character on the show, followed by Jo (Nancy McKeon)!! =) The rest of the cast rocks too and I can't wait for the reunion show Fall of 2001 on ABC!!!! YES!!! Oh ya, Sherrie Krenn (now Sherrie Austin) rocks!! I am listening to her song "Little Bird" right now!!!!

Higher Ground (2000)
One of my very favorites!
5 July 2000
I love "Higher Ground" so much. I have been watching since the start and it is SO cool! The characters are so true and they deliver the messages so well. One would think that this would be another show like "7th Heaven" or something, where a new problem arises in every episode (unless the run out and just have it happen to someone else). No, this show carefully weaves in the dilemmas and concentrates on them in many episodes. Very real. Problems just don't go away like some shows make it seem. All the actors are great (Jewel Staite and Hayden Christensen...MY FAVS) and help make this show count!

The Color of Friendship (2000 TV Movie)
7/10
A very good movie with an important message.
5 February 2000
I loved this movie. I think that it is great for people to watch, especially younger kids. The message is clear and should be recognized by everyone. I love the fact that it takes place during the time of the apartheid in South Africa, and so the kids in America are all dressing "groovy"...Haha! That adds to the factor for kids to enjoy the movie. Anyway, this was wonderfully acted and the two girls, Piper and Mahree, did an excellent job. See this movie on the Disney Channel.

The best movie in the world!
13 January 2000
I LOVE THIS MOVIE!! I swear, I have seen it at least 25 times! It was wonderfully made and all of the actors are EXCELLENT! Penny Marshall (the director) did an awesome job on it. It is a movie about the AAGPBL (All-American Girls Professional Baseball League) team named the Rockford Peaches. There were only 3 other teams: Racine, South Bend, and Kanosha (sp?). Geena Davis stars as Dottie Hinson, also known as "The Queen of Diamonds." She is the kind of person who won't admit that she plays baseball because she loves it. Her little sister Kit Keller is played by Lori Petty, who acts as the Peaches pitcher. Tom Hanks is their coach. Also starring are Madonna (Mae) and Rosie O'Donnell (Doris). It's an awesome movie, so go see it!!!!
