Hombre (1967)
The most realistic western ever!
I can't really say more than you have already very well put in your account of the film except to say that Hombre' really did put in to perspective (on film) the true value of the native American and how much he knew and cared about his fellow man, even in the midst of such cruel bigotry by some of the people involved. Although John Russell was white he was reared as an Apache and considered himself one, Yet still saved the lives of all the people in his company although most (except two or three) were not worthy of this. I must say though Richard Boone was brilliant as the villain!
Lawman (1958)
Superb Western Series!
I couldn't agree more, this 50s western series was superbly done and John Russell was perfect for the part, although he played Indians and also many other parts in western's especially, I feel the part of Dan Troop was tailor made for him and in my opinion was probably his best part, although I agree completely that it didn't run as long or received the accolades it should have done!
Yellowstone Kelly (1959)
Yellowstone Kelly & 50s & early 60s TV Westerns.
I think that although Yellowstone Kelly was probably only made to accommodate Clint Walkers popularity as Cheyenne Bodie just before and around the release of the film it was exceptionally well done with a great supporting cast and a super story line, but as I was only 12 at the time and I still recall it today it just shows it has lasted the test of time. I can remember very well all the old TV westerns of the fifties even at such an early age.Bronco Layne, Tenderfoot, Gun Law, Lawman, Maverick, Wells Fargo, Have gun will travel, Wagon train, The restless gun with John Payne, and of course my favourite Cheyenne.I love nostalgia and all these all time greats bring back fond memories of a more innocent age than today, although as my wife is always telling me I am very old Fashioned. American Graffiti (1973)
Great LP record with fantastic film attached.
I watch American Graffiti at least twice yearly, it is part of my own video collection and I can honestly say it is the most easy to watch film I have ever seen, the storyline is a bit shallow to say the least but the music throughout the entire film is great! I personally will never get tired of watching it. In fact you don't really have to watch it just put it on and just listen to all the great music.

West Side Story (1961)
One of the very best musicals of all time.
West Side Stoty is one of the first musicals I ever saw, I was still at school at the time and went to see it at my local cinema in Eccles. When I say it was great it has got to be a real understatement. Although I was'nt then and am still not a musical buff I have always enjoyed this film I have only enjoyed perhaps six or seven all my life but West Side Story is definately the best in my opinion of course.
