not as good
29 January 2023
I had high hopes for this show and I really wanted to like this show, but after watching the first three episodes of this show, its just ISNT funny nor is it entertaining. Its Boring...there's no humor in the show except for the laugh track. The original series had a lot of great humor in it as well as great gags...like when Harry Stone criticizes Wile E Coyote for trying to catch/eat The Roadrunner.

This version of the show is boring, has no humor in it and its just plain awful....if it survives being cancelled Ill be genuinely surprised, its that bad. Even Dan Fielding is dull and boring...

Lousy Film...not worth watching on video
6 September 2011
OK first off, this has to be the WORST superhero film I ever watched. I was a die hard fan of the series when it was shown in re runs recently. Van Williams was great as Britt Reid/The Green Hornet. And Bruce Lee was incredible as Kato.

Where to begin with my criticism of this film: First off, I cringed each time I saw Seth Rogan as Britt Reid as I found him to me dull, boring and lifeless. He did not give any emotion into portraying Britt Reid. There was no passion in the delivery of his lines and I felt he could of done A LOT better. I find him to be a very LOUSY actor and will avoid ANY of his films in the future.

Secondly, the casting was just lousy to begin with. Casting Cameron Diaz was a huge mistake to play Lenore Case, she is ugly, old and just cannot act well. Edward James Olmos deserved better than to play this role I kept feeling sorry for him after all the great roles he has done over the past few years. I turned off this film halfway through it because I thought it was bad.

The only good thing about this film (if u can call it that) was the actor Jay Chou who played Kato, he was good...not great but good.

Thirdly, I found the plot to be somewhat lame, I can understand the need for a villain, but come on...surely they could do better than that...

And last but not certainly least, the script was an insult to the memories of the original actors who played the roles in the TV series. I feel sorry for Van Williams being the sole surviving member of the cast, if he had to watch this film I would of walked out of the theatre in disgust it was so bad.

All in all, a worthless film. I swear I heard Bruce Lee churning over in his grave over this film it was that bad. It deserves every Razzie nomination it gets.

ugh, what a stinker
2 August 2009
This movie can be described in a few words. The words that come to mind to describe it are as follows: awful, bad, lame, garbage and an insult to martial arts films everywhere and so forth. Where to begin ? lets start with Kristin Kreuk's acting...or lack thereof. Her performance is wooden and 2 dimensional as she conveys NO emotion from her character. Kristin Kreuk's performance in this film reminds people that a person should take acting lessons before doing a movie. If anything this film should of been killed off as its a waste of 90 minutes to watch it. I would give it a 0 for a rating but that would be generous as its not even worth that.

It seems that Michael Clark Duncan and Robin Shou must be hard up for roles if they took this king of a stinker. Don't even bother watching this film as a rental folks, its not worth it and you will regret spending your hard earned $$$ on this garbage. This film should be a major contender for the Razzie Awards. No wonder it bombed at the box office.

Stupid
6 September 2008
OK, like many fans of the comic book series, I too was thrilled when a movie was being made. Then I saw it....should of stuck to the comic books. The movie is STUPID...the cast are buffoons and it looks Like Gerard Depardieu was half asleep while playing Obelix. Asterix is supposed to be bright, intelligent and cunning. The person who portrays him does so that Obelix looks the smart one. SOME of the characters are just like in the comics...but the plot is just that, comic like. Its like there was no imagination put into it. This film is major turkey not even palatable for thanksgiving...do yourself a favor folks...Don't RENT THIS FILM...save your money...you'll be glad you did.

Wolverine and the X-Men (2008–2009)
4/10
Substandard Im afraid
6 September 2008
OK, so when I saw that television was going to do yet ANOTHER X-Men series I thought OK, Ill check it out. I just finished watching the preview on YTV a few moments ago. I didn't enjoy it, mainly because for me, the benchmark was the old Fox X-Men series. And although XMen: evolution was interesting showing the X-Men as teens trying to fit in, I found the new series Wolverine and the X-Men to be disappointing. The graphics were OK, it was the plot that bothered me. The premise of Wolverine being leader of the X-Men was absurd to begin with.

The series may be good...but its going to grow on me like fungus and I hate that. This is one series I hope gets cancelled PDQ.

save your $$$ for the video game
16 August 2004
I saw this movie today mainly because I was bored and unemployed and needed to escape the four walls. Anyways, I found the movie somewhat boring after awhile...I found the acting flat, the s/fx were average and the plot damn near invisible...it resembles the main problem with movies today...how do u have two movie franchises duke it out and entertain the audience at the same time... Jason vs Freddy has this problem. AVP, was a waste of my time and my money. I found the only thing I liked about the film was after the credits were rolling...the plot was so predictable I fell asleep during the film, woke up and knew exactly what was going to happen next...so do yourself a favor, dont see this film...its not worth it.

Bottom line...save your $$$ from this turkey of a movie and put it into the video game, youll say thank u for it later.

Star Trek: Enterprise (2001–2005)
why ?
24 December 2003
Ive been watching Enterprise since the beginning and I keep coming up with the same question...Why is this show STILL on the air ? Ive seen better acting by children. The show is a disgrace to the memory of Gene Roddenberry's vision of Star Trek. I honestly thought William Shatner was a bad actor and bad acting skills...then I saw Enterprise...so far the only good episode has been the one with the Borg in it. Please for the sake of my intelligence, please cancel this show...SOON.

Black Sash (2003)
decent show
15 May 2003
This is actually one of the better shows I have found lately. Russell Wong <Romeo must Die, Vanishing Son I-IV> is the lead in this series. Playing Tom Chang, Wong is a former police detective who is framed and arrested for drug trafficking. Serving his sentence, he leaves the police department and ends up teaching martial arts to students. The shows martial art scenes are great. Especially good, is that the show is primarily shot in Vancouver, Canada. Mako <An Eye for an Eye, Bulletproof Monk> is Master Li, the owner of the martial arts dojo where Wong's character teaches his martial arts. The show is great, but unfortunately, it has been cancelled.

Action good...acting, no comment
15 May 2003
Ok, saw Matrix Reloaded today...was psyched about it from the trailer on tv. Bottom line though was the special effects were outstanding...guns use great, martial art use was incredible....acting...umm, bad.

Folks the bottom line for this film was <and this is in my opinion> if you want to see an action film then great...see Matrix Reloaded...if you are hoping this will be a great acting film with lots of great dialogue, pass on Matrix Reloaded. The action is good, but the story lacks some depth...halfway through the film I found myself bored. The story is long and in some parts, boring...I give it 3 out of 5

The Crow (1994)
one of the best films ever
15 February 2003
To say that The Crow is one of the best films ever made is an understatement. The plot is, a rocker and his girlfriend are murdered on Devil's Night. And one year later, he is brought back to life by a mysterious crow to avenge his and his girlfriends death. This film will always be linked to the death of its lead actor, Brandon Lee who was killed accidentally while on the set.

The Crow also showcases one of the best performances by Canadian actor Michael Wincott. This film is a showcase of the darkside of Rock n Roll and is one of the main themes of the movie. The question I have always asked myself when I saw this film for the first time in 1994 <on a Friday night btw> was whether or not this film would have been as successful as it was had Brandon Lee not died. All in all this is my favorite film...and it has quickly risen to the status of Cult-hit mainly because of what happened. This is a film about Love and Justice...

Battle of the Planets (1978–1980)
Classic Animation
24 January 2003
This is classic animation at its best. Compared to todays animation its antiquated. But back in 1978 it was classic. Made in the same Japanese Animation style that brought Speed Racer, its classic and one of the best shows. I miss it and hope that its either released on DVD or re released soon. Bless you internet.

Naked News (1999– )
news, with a twist.
10 January 2003
Ok, well anyone who says news is boring should check it out. I always thought news was news...WRONG...I checked out Naked News and loved it. My favorite Anchorwoman has to be Lily Kwan, I just love the way she does the business reports ;). Sadly though, my subscription ran out a few months ago.

OOPS, he did it again
20 July 2002
Well, the streak for George Lucas continues...Phanton Menance the first film had its problems and unfortunately they carry on into Attack of the Clones. The first problem is the supposed romance between Anakin and Padme. Well, that is the problem...the romance. There is no on-screen chemistry between Hayden Christensen and Natalie Portman. Its more like they are forced to be in the romance part of the film and thats how it comes across.

Christopher Lee as Count Dooku is a welcome surprise. His "evil" role in the film is charming to say the least. Being the heavy in this film gives Lee a welcome relief to roles such as Dracula as he gets to add some humor to the dialogue. Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan has a more dynamic personality with more humor which lets him flow like the force.

The second problem is the plot of the film which I wont give away too much. Its the basic formula of Good vs Evil and thats too bad as the plot could have had more development and less action to make it more of a success. The third problem I had with this film was the acting. Hayden Christensen cannot convey the feelings of his affections for Padme or the death of Shmi Skywalker in the film. It comes out forced and that in effect ruins the emotions of his character. Its too bad that George Lucas didn't or couldn't develop the storyline more to include a more personal touch to Anakin and Padme as these characters need more development. If you want to be entertained by the Good vs Evil aspect of this film then its perfect for you. If you want more substance to this film, then you <like myself> will be greatly disappointed. Wait for it on video and save your $14.

Power Rangers Zeo (1996–1997)
not the same
9 November 2001
Well its been awhile since I saw this show but from what I remember to me, it was ok...but not as good as the original.

To me, the originals <Jason, Zack, Billy, Kimberly and Trini> were the best...when 3 left, and the show went to Zeo it was ok.

When Jason was brought back I was honestly hoping for the return of Zack and Trini.

But to me Zeo was just not up to par with the original...

As for the future sequels Turbo and Space...I dont watch them...no point really.

X-Men (2000)
Fairly good
16 July 2000
I saw the movie Xmen last night and was presently surprised. As a kid, I collected the Xmen comic books so was quite intrigued by the movie. A few glitches from comic to movie, but otherwise a good plot. The children of the atom are facing their most evil foe in Magneto. The Xmen must stop Magneto from turning all the worlds leaders who attend a UN summit on Ellis island into mutants.

Getting Patrick Stewart to play Charles Xavier was a stroke of genius, can anyone else see a resemblance between the two of them ? Anna Paquin playing Rogue is a bit iffy at times but she plays the role well. But the character of Logan aka Wolverine was the best. All in all I was quite pleased with the plot of the movie, despite the glitches that I'll put in GOOFS.

Getting better :)
19 May 2000
Bobbie Phillips returns as Agent Kam in this tele-film. As good as the previous two are, this one is better. Kam must save a teen prodigy scientist's experiment from ruthless terrorist group from transforming unstable Dark Matter into a black hole capable of killing everyone on the planet Earth. Also in this movie is Kane, Kam's brother who has the skills of Wolf, Lizard and Bat. The action is intense.

can we say bad ?
4 May 2000
I recently saw the newest Crow film when a friend of mine invited me down to LA for a screening. Umm, folks if you <like me> are a diehard Crow fan...skip this movie.

The only redeaming feature in this film was Jodi Lyn O'Keefe. As for Eric Mabius playing the Crow. Sorry, his delivery lacks punch and I didnt find him very believable. To me, Brandon Lee did the best portrayl of the Crow in the first movie. I thought the plot started out fine, but as the movie went on it went downhill. The premise of a crooked cop killing an innocent had been done one time too often. The only thing I found good about this film was the acting by Jodi Lyn O'Keefe. I liked the strong character she played. As for Kirsten Dunst, I thought she was wasted in this film. Besides O'Keefe's acting, this film is a total dud...3 out 10 from me. The Crow: Salvation was only marginally better than Crow: City of Angels...but not by much.
