Super entertaining

I am a skeptic, and still am. This "documentary" is a very entertaining one, and will challenge even the most hardcore skeptics. I still think it's just fun and games - nothing to be taken seriously - I see it in much the same way as I do an episode of The X-files.

Mulan (2020)

This is a good movie. Well made and very pretty. People rate it like it was on par with Starship Troopers 2 - it's a good, enjoyable action movie.

I am a big fan of Bull Burr, and I expected it to be as hilarious as him. It's not. It has its funny moments, but it's often not funny at all - it's sad. It feels like a self therapy project ;P

Uncut Gems (2019)

What a mess

It was such a mess. It was annoying, loud and disconnected. I was uncomfortable a lot of the time. What a good movie. I'm glad I finished it.

Parasite (2019)

It was pretty good.

The movie was well written, well acted, well paced, well filmed, well scored. Everything was pretty good. For me, it is a far cry from the best film I've seen. It might not even be in the top 10. Don't get me wrong. It was a very good movie worth watching, and worth watching on the big screen. I don't really get the masterpiece and best film ever comments. It was entertaining and thought provoking. Go see it, but ignore the super reviews as well as the bad reviews.

Rambo: Last Blood (2019)

So many extreme votes

So many extreme votes - Either 10/10 or 1/10. It is by no means the best action film in a long time, much less of 2019. It was, however, a fairly decent revenge movie, with an aging Rambo that was hard to recognize. The action is all centered towards the end and happens quickly in some tunnels. The rest of the movie was setup and mediocre acting. What I thought immediately after watching the movie was that it was a really depressing version of "Taken".

Death Wish (2018)

A terrible waste of time

I usually don't write reviews, but I felt I had to explain my low rating. I love action flicks. Every once in a while I indulge in mindless action movies with lots of violence and gun play. I thought this would be perfect for this. While some moments were pretty entertaining, with both lots of violent scenes and some gun play, the wife and I ended up with the distinct feeling that this was an NRA-sponsored pro-gun movie. And a terrible one at that.

I just lost some respect for Bruce Willis because of this movie.

Sinister (I) (2012)

Too many positive reviews

There are way too many positive reviews of this, so I feel compelled to write a bit about it.

The movie is well enough acted, but no stellar performances from the cast.

I expected it to be really creepy and scary. It wasn't. The found footage was creepy enough. It seems that they meant to create a tense creepy atmosphere, but failed. It relies entirely of cheap predictable jump scares. The boy in the box was the scariest for me, but alone in a dark house with close to max volume on the TV will do that, when they use volume like that. The other jump scares were pretty predictable.

All in all, I have to say that I was disappointed. I rated it 5/10, but maybe it's really a 4/10, but I'm in a lenient mood tonight.

Deadheads (2011)

Average comedy, not good, but not too bad

I had to write a short review of this. Some of the top reviews of this movie is obviously made by someone affiliated with the movie in some way.

The movie is mildly entertaining. The plot is the main guy that wants to declare his love for his old girlfriend. The side-story is about an old guy who wants to spread his dead wife's ashes by some shore or other. The side-plot isn't executed very successfully. The acting is OK, although the side-kick gets to be annoying.

I was hoping for a few laughs, but I didn't laugh once in the course of this movie. It was a bit funny at times. So I smiled, and that's it.

If you have nothing else to do, or if you REALLY like zombie-themed movies by all means see it. You're not gonna walk away very satisfied though.

I managed to sit though it's entirety. I'm starting to think that I should have spent it sleeping instead.
