The Dukes (2007)
10/10
A wonderful story about relationships, desperate times and the human condition
31 May 2007
Robert did a superb job directing this heartfelt drama, it is refreshing to see a film that does not fit like a cookie cutter into the typical studio mold yet keeps your interest and warms your heart. Robert seems to be very influenced by other great Itallian directors and gives a certain European flair to this wonderful offbeat film that is sure to be a welcome change of pace from the typical Hollywood formula film.

The film is an interesting character study about loyalty and friendship that has lasted several decades through the good times and the bad. It is about survival, redemption, and the irony of life, and explores the darkside of good people who sometimes make bad decissions but ultimately triumph in their own peculiar way.

Robert may have a different take on the film than I do, after all he is the creator and the artist behind it, and I am just the Producer, but I am very proud of the work we did and the final product and I think that this film will be well received.

Reeker (2005)
10/10
Reeker is scary and original a worthwhile adventure into the dark
8 April 2005
I saw this movie at the south by southwest festival. It was clearly the best film there. I'm not a horror buff but this film draws you in fast and keeps you going until the great twist at the end. A lot of great jokes poking fun at the genre without feeling hokey. Great visual fx and high end stunts will satisfy all. Great performances including Devon Gummersol as a blind guy looking for a good time. And Ariel Kebbel (maxum model sexy as hell) is one hot Cookie. Scott White is quite a character who brings a lighthearted relief to the terror. Tina Illman is a fresh face and plays a great tough female lead. I think one of the best things about the film is that because the script is so original the director was able to add a real artsy indie edge to the film that makes it much more than a tired old slasher but at the same time preserves the thrill and the kill with a very satisfying ending that makes a lot more sense than the random violence of most films in this genre. It is a very original Idea that does for the horror genre what Freddy Kruger did for Elm st. I don't know when this film will be in the theaters but if you have a chance to see it at a festival get there early, I saw hundreds of disappointed people turned away at the sold out screenings.

Scorcher (I) (2002)
A very ambitious action film that rivals a big budget studio film
31 January 2003
Scorcher is very impressive. It looks like a major studio film even though it was produced by a very cheap low budget organization. I expected it to be a real stinker but was pleasently surprised to see how good it turned out. If you like action this film is for you

Soulkeeper (2001)
10/10
A comical supernatural thriller with a very deep message hidden in plane sight about life after death.
6 November 2001
This entertaining film is much more complex than it appears to be on the surface. Funny, scary, and original it can be enjoyed at many levels from mindless escape to deep thoughts about the human experience and life after death. This is a film you can watch over and over again and each time it will mean more to the viewer. Be careful you might learn something if your not too busy laughing or too afraid to watch. Also the DVD has great behind the scenes footage that is very informational about how certain special effects were done. I would highly suggest adding this one to your collection as I did for the low price of $14.99 for the dvd on amazon.com, rather than renting it.

The Godson (1998)

This film grows on you like a fungus, before you know it you think it's very funny
24 January 2001
Have you ever seen a movie that you didn't love the first time but somehow after three or four viewings you find yourself quoting it constantly? This is one of those films. Everyone will not laugh at every joke but the more you see it the more jokes you will get. This silly spoof comedy is smarter than you think it just takes a few times to make it work.
