Broken Blossoms or The Yellow Man and the Girl (1919)
A Beautiful, Endearing, Legendary Performance
I cannot put into words in this small bit of space and time which I am alloted, exactly how tenderly and beautifully Richard Barthelmess as the Chink is portrayed in D.W. Griffith's "Broken Blossoms".....the movie even though silent, speaks its own eloquence. Watch it with open eyes it speakes volumes so beautifully and simply and is one of my all-time favorites,a timeless story.I cannot elaborate on the previous viewer's opinion as it is also true. If you love movies, and feel you have the least bit of sensitivity in you, watch it, experience, and feel "Broken Blossoms" as it is one of the most moving of any motion picture's experience you will have I assure you.
Mercy (2000)
entertaining movie, good casting, good adult murder mystery!
This movie is a combination of Silence of the Lambs, Dressed To Kill (famous Brian de Palma flick) and a liberal dosage of bondage, transexulism, lesbianism, sexual fetishes of different types including an ex-marine gone psycho and a well-respected british psychiatrist who gets the award for Ultimate Sicko! A payment to this Sickotrist is not needed as Dr. Dominic Broussard is definetly a Psycho-Drama Queen with paranoid schizophrenia tendencies! This movie is for adults and very worth at least a viewing or two as the twist ending is very good! ellen barkin is great!
Faithless (1932)
Tahlulah Bankhead and Richard Montgomery
Anything with Tallulah Bankhead is worth a viewing, but the added bonus of Robert Montgomery says it all. The problems which they have are interesting, but Tahlulah's acting is believable or one can view her as a comedienne. Robert Montgomery is so charming and funny.
