The New Detectives: Case Studies in Forensic Science: Texas Rangers (1998)
It's the incredible stupidity of the criminal that gets them caught.
My first problem with this show was the statement something to the effect that the Texas Rangers always gets the criminal. What a lie. Anybody knows no police ever come close to 100%.
Overlooking that statement, it started getting interesting, but very quickly, I started saying wow!, what incredibly stupid criminals!
Now the Rangers may be good, but in all 3 cases they bragged about, it wasn't so much the intelligence of the Rangers that caught the criminals, but the incredible stupidity of the criminals.
It's like the criminals have never heard of evidence. They make very little attempt to get rid of evidence. They hang around the area instead of disappearing. They keep killing, piling up more evidence against them. It's like they think they are invincible or the rangers are incredibly stupid.
This may be of more interest to young people, but I couldn't enjoy it much because of the bragging of the Rangers, and the annoyance of watching such incredible stupidity of the criminals. Sorry, couldn't give it more than a 2.
UFOs: The Best Evidence Ever Caught on Tape (1997)
There is no good evidence for aliens visiting us yet.
It's almost certain that many other planets have intelligent life on them, but the distances are so great between them, that it's probably going to be thousands of years before we have any visitors.
If we do get visitors in the near future, they will probably be way more advanced than us, and will therefore have no reason to hide from us.
And, if they don't want to reveal themselves, with their advanced technology, we will not be able to detect them. Certainly not with our eyes or cameras.
If any of these UFOs are aliens, they would most likely just be jokers, trying to mess with us. That seems very unlikely.
Ask any respected scientist, and he will say there is no good evidence of any intelligent beings visiting us yet.
In this movie, some people say things like "it suddenly dawned on me that I was seeing a UFO!" What an asinine statement. It's like they think "UFO" means an alien spacecraft. NO you IDIOT! It stands for UNIDENTIFIED flying object, but it's not even that. It's an UNIDENTIFIED IMAGE!!!!!! It's not necessarily an object. It's not necessarily flying. It could just be a light coming from somewhere else.
It could be a million things, and an alien spaceship is just about the most unlikely thing on the list.
