Boys in Love 2 (1998)
Uneven
I thought that the first Boys in Love was overall a much better collection. I enjoyed all four of those shorts. In this one that only one I thought decent was "Twilight of the Gods". I watched the first bits of the first few and ended up fastforwarding through them. "My Body" was ok, and "Dirty Baby" was interesting technically, but the rest didn't even hold my interest.
Queen of the Damned (2002)
Meh, not great, but not horrendous
I must say that I went into this movie with mediocre expectations. Having heard the rumor that the film was almost scheduled for video release only, I doubted that it would be winning any Oscars. However, while I wasn't blown away, I can't say that it wasn't enjoyable. There was eye candy in Stuart Townsend and Aaliyah, some kick-ass music, and a middling story line. I was disappointed and misled, because I thought Aaliyah would have a larger role, but that couldn't be avoided. Some of the lines caught me halfway between a cringe and a laugh. I have to give some of the actors respect for being able to say them without wincing. And, of course, as any true fan of Farscape (a sci-fi TV show) I wanted to see the radiant Claudia Black on screen more often. But overall It was a decent movie that is just something to pop in the VCR and kill 2 hours with. Switch off your brain, keep your eyes and ears open and have some mindless fun.
The Cyberstalking (1999)
Halfway decent
Not exactly Academy Award winning material, but it made for a couple hours entertainment. The special effects were visually stimulating, and I found the concept of the musician basically creating the setting and costume for the music video using her own imagination to be a fascinating idea. Her main song was very catchy, and even after not watching the movie for several years, I still remember it. The identity of the "glitch" was a unique twist, and even if the characters seemed a bit idealized and cookie-cutter, it was still interesting and entertaining time spent.
