The Substitute 2: School's Out (1998)
An improvement
I am a big Treat Williams fan and that was my only reason for renting this. I had seen the first one a few weeks before on T.V and it was fairly good but nothing special. This on the other hand is a dramatic, action packed and very well directed film. Treat Williams is very charismatic and funny also. He does make it hard to believe he is a combat army type. The action is fast and furious, the supporting cast of unknowns are decent. Its worth a look!
The Other Sister (1999)
Not my personal taste but Iam a big Ribisi fan.....
I am not a huge fan of sentimental dramas, i watched this only because Giovanni Ribisi is a favourite actor of mine and I loved Juliette Lewis in From Dusk Till Dawn and Natural Born Killers. The film starts with Carla Tate(lewis) returning home after time in a specialist home. She convinces her father she is ready to goto a public school and after some negotiations with her mother she is allowed to do this.On her first day she bumps into Danny(Ribisi) and then the love story begins. This film is at times too romantic and mushy for my personal preference but the wonderful acting from all the cast and a strong script keep it moving, the film at times has some decent twists too. 7 out of 10!
From Dusk Till Dawn (1996)
One of my favourite movies
I love Tarantino, I love Robert Rodriguez and yes I love this movie! Tarantino stars with George Clooney, Harvey Keitel and Juliette Lewis. Clooney and Tarantino play criminals on the run who kidnap a family and use their motor-home to get them into Mexico. They are to meet a guy called Carlo in a bar called the Tittie Twister, the family are to stay with them through the night after which they will be let go. Everything goes to plan until everyone in the bar turns into vampires! The story may well sound cliched but trust me, if you like horrors with a humorous script you gotta see this movie! All the main characters acting is superb, I must especially mention Tarantino who gets a lot of bad press for his acting ambition, he makes an excellent pyscho. One of my all time favourites, I am usually strict with my scores, but i must give this a 10!!!
Friday (1995)
*HAHAHAHA!!!*
Craig(Ice Cube) and Smokey(Chris Tucker) hang out on Craigs frontdoor step. Getting high, looking at women and trying to avoid get robbed by the neighbour hood bully. This is a typical laugh out loud Chris Tucker comedy and if you like Ice Cube as well (which I do) you will watch it and love it time and time again.
