Dead Man on Campus (1998)
"Man this is classic."
Picture the scene, a quiet straight A student from a small town in Indiana, meets a loud beer drinking weed smoking toilet cleaner. Obviously they become best friends, so close in fact that many think they are gay (there is a great scene in the bushes "Cooper, they probably thought we were making out back here." The toilet cleaner leads the straight A student astray and the bob's your uncle he fails his exams, and struggles to keep his scholarship. Cue another hilarious scene in the pub with the "Some people eat bugs. Ergh!" man, and they find out that if their roommate commits suicide - automatic A's. Cue hilarity as they try to find the perfect roommate to push over the edge. From the goth who laughs (**scandal**) and Buckly Schrank who thinks Bill gates wants to steal the other half of his brain (half of it went a Newark airport) But the stage is stolen by Lochlyn Munroe as Clifford O Malley, a psycho! ("His name is Cliff, brother of Joe, he's got him some crack, he wants him some ho!") A great title sequence and an excellent soundtrack, this film has it all. Big stars such as Mark Paul, Tom and Alyson [Hannigan] are vastly overshadowed by the virtual unknowns who play their hapless victims, Corey's 'sperm' is haunting.
A brilliant film. I give it just what Josh needs, no not a bong hit, no not a study buddy, no not a jemmy (classic) 4 a+++!

Dream Team (1997)
The best soap ever
Dream Team is Eastenders, but at the ground of a football team. Since it began in 1997, it has run for five series and the sixth is on it's way. It was made for Sky One and focuses on the on and off pitch antics of members of fictional Premiership side Harchester United and their friends, girlfriends and even wives. It is really good because it is really realistic, unlike Footballer's Wives, Dream Team employs real footballers to play the extras of the team, (Danny Husbands, Peter Mack...) and they have real football conslutants. In an average episode, they show some real game footage, doctored to have purple shirts for Harchester. Off the pitch the stories are realistic and the acting is superb, particularly Terry Kiely (Karl Fletcher) and Alison King (Lynda Block) Watch this show if you want to know how a football club works, or if you want to see that footballer's lives aren't all fame and fortune.....
The Hole (2001)
Laurence Fox at his best.
When my friends suggested that instead of seeing 'Valentine' we saw 'The Hole' (as it was a lot less busy in that screen) I thought that was a bad idea. The title of the film seemed to put me off as it was quite broad-banded But when I sat down and the film began, I couldn't take my eyes off the screen. It was partly because of the gorgeous Laurence Fox, who played the dizzy blonde male (for once not a girl!) Geoff. But also because of the way the film was set out. We kind of saw the outcome and then found out why it happened. There were more twists and turns than any English country road and you were so far to the edge of your seat, you were practically sitting on the floor!
In essence it is your normal boy meets girl flick, but with added death, gore, blood and maggots to keep the boyfriends happy. I found the story easy to follow and captivating, the writers sure have style.
The writers of the story have taken any boy meets girl, and they fall in love flick, and turned it onto it's head. Sucessfully.
Whoever you are SEE THE HOLE!!! (But it isn't for the faint hearted.)
Enchanted (1998)
The Gorgepot CAN act!
This film at first looked to be a waste of time. But as I was bored, off school ill, I watched it. I was drawn in by the great actors. There was one actor, called David Kaufman, who was great as the sweet Allen. Although I missed the start, I was able to follow the story. Although it was a cliche love story, with a predictable ending, it was fun to watch. And the fact that Natalie got David, means Allen is free for me!
The Dying of the Light (1992)
James Gaddas
This film has my personal favourite actor in it. That is James Gaddas. I liked this film and I think it is very good. It was not my first choice of a movie but I did enjoy it. I found parts of it quite hard to understand but this is maybe because I am only 15. Laura
