The Exorcist (1973)
Meh
Found it to be overrated. Acting was subpar and somewhat comical. The priest was good. The weird cuts when action would start happen to another scene was anticlimactic. I love vintage horror movies but to me this didn't make the cut. Lots of slow-moving scenes that could have been removed to be honest. I kept feeling like, oh, what is going to happen next... are we there yet? It also makes no sense to me how the mother acts and how illogical the doctors were being when they were in the room and saw all that was happening and acting like it was just the girl behaving like that when you can visually see there was something wrong.
Little House on the Prairie: May We Make Them Proud: Part I (1980)
Hmmm... Some good, some bad
To me, this could have been a real stunning story. But like other said, it is unrealistic that two blind people knowing there is a fire would not worry about getting their own baby out of the house and the way Mary acts like she forgot when running by the room is really plastic. The scene when Alice gets to get the baby and the fire explodes around her is terrifying and epic and frightening. The screams she lets out.. whoa. Realistic. The outside scene where she's smashing the window ... i wish I had been blind not to see that horrible moment. The emotional scene with Albert later crying by the river saying he didn't want to go to the funeral was very well acted. Even made me emotional. Boy should have won an award for that scene. But some of the scenes were just too long and drawn out and I feel they could have cut this down.
Hereditary (2018)
Hated how it ended and loved how it ended
This is the kind of film that if the story changed not to be so horrific, it may have been an award winner. The acting is wonderful by the characters. But in typical fashion, this movie is very dark and I just except it for what it is. The hidden symbolism throughout the film made me watch it again. So masterfully crafted. The sons crying scenes were a little weird sounding and over acted but for the most part everything is great. Toni C is wonderful and the father really plays the role very well! It was raw and visceral and I really appreciate the process. The ending was a bit long winded and the hail hail hail part was a little too gimicky for me. I almost wished that part was cut shorter and left more up to the imagination!
Psycho (1998)
So much went into stupidity
SO much detail went into making sure the sets were almost exact... but then, you build a new house? Also, not a fan of the actors selected. Norman bates wasn't good. Should have been a different and geekier looking actor and I don't like Ann H for this role.
If you're going to go through all of the trouble to align everything to be as close as possible to the original like you did here, perhaps you should have not sliced out or altered the significant things like I mentioned earlier like building a gothic home in front of the well known mansion. The stabbing scene was still and it was stupid how it kept looking like the knife was getting stuck.
Poseidon (2006)
Falls flat in characters
Pace is fast and furious but it is way to cliché disaster movie. Come on guys. You could have done so much better. Plus half the movie that is in the trailer was cut out.
Ozark (2017)
Last Episode Ruined the Entire Show
Really? Why do writers think DEATH is the answer in finales. I wont ever watch the show again now because if the best character dies, and in such a dumb way, there is no point.
Judy Justice (2021)
It falls short
First of all, She got WAY too short with people and doesn't even let them tell their side of the story anymore. She assumes she udnerstands the case before it begins. Problem is, the audience doesn't know. Second, Sarah doesn't add much to the show but a blank stare. Not the charisma that Judy has. But I feel like Judy has gotten way too impatient. I've been watching since 1996 and these last few years, even with CBS she has just gotten down right grouchy.
Kördügüm (2016)
Had the potential to be excellent
Had the potential to be excellent. I don't know Turkish and was watching this show in subtitles which I never do. The first season had a very realistic cast. To take the storyline that dramatically crazy the way they did just ruined everything. They made very bad decisions these writers. The way he acted toward her because an old love came in his life and the way he looks at her was revolting especially after everything they've been through with Naz.
