Harlem (2021)
Great Show!
Harlem is a lovely and relatable feel-good comedy that's definitely worth a watch! The cast and acting is great, and it's engaging from start to finish. The characters are likable and they're honestly the best thing about the show. The drama is well done as well.
Friend Request (2020)
Good Movie
It's an entertaining movie with just enough drama, comedy, and action. It's not the most original movie but it has good acting and it won't feel like a waste of time after you've watched it.
The First Purge (2018)
A Great Prequel
I liked the first Purge movie so I was excited to watch this one. I'm glad I did because I ended up being way more invested in this one than the first. Not only did they create a movie that reflects society and gives us possible what ifs, they also gave us an entertaining movie that makes us think.
Our heroes are flawed but likable and even admirable at times. There's nothing like having a hero you can root for. And the villains come in many forms: the government, the people who chose to commit crimes during the purge, and even that one crazy guy that should DEFINITELY be avoided.
Overall, yes, this Purge movie throws in some politics but it's actually kinda realistic and is very applicable to how this society is.
Black Panther (2018)
Overrated or Overhated?
Ok, so, I get that the professional movie review sites had very positive opinions of this movie. Honestly though, this movie deserves the praise. I believe that this is GREAT movie. It's entertaining and the acting is pretty good. You have Chadwick Boseman, Angela Bassett, Micheal B. Jordan, and even Danai Gurira for goodness sake. This movie not only has big names but it also has some cool special effects and world building. Also, it's funny and intense during some moments but I especially loved what they did with the planet of Wakanda.
In my opinion, this is most interesting Marvel movie I've found myself watching. And, compared to some of the others, it's definitely not all that "typical".
