"Drumline" + "You Got Served"= The Worst Movie Ever Made
21 January 2007
This movie was the most predictable and insipid disaster that my eyes have ever beheld. That statement is not meant to be hyperbolic or humorous. Twenty minutes after this movie began, without seeing or reading any reviews on the film whatsoever, almost anyone could decipher the beginning, middle, and end. Everyone watching could see that the main character would "rebel against something", then "join the establishment he rebelled against", but then "change something about the establishment, but not without resistance from that establishment", etc. Everyone knew the "establishment would kick him out", but then "to his surprise, he would be let back in". Everyone knew he'd "get the girl" and "win". I threw up in my mouth a couple times. DO NOT SPEND MONEY ON THIS MOVIE. This is some of the worst writing I have ever heard. The lines are such a faux representation of modern collegiate life that as a college student myself, I wondered how many decades the writers of this trash have been removed it. This gets an "F". I would rather watch "Black Knight". This is probably one of the worst ways I have ever spent my money. But sadly, that means I have supported it. So now I am trying to rid myself of that shame by warning anyone that reads this: THIS MOVIE IS TERRIBLE! DO NOT WATCH!

Good until the end

I am much more impressed than I thought I would be after watching this movie. Judging from the previews, it looked like T.I. would be awful and the movie would just be "Boyz in the Hood" meets "Roll Bounce". T.I. actually did pretty well to just be an amateur. Big Boi stole the show with his portrayal of a drug dealer.

The only bad thing about movies like this is the fantasy they portray. There needs to be one of these movies that has a bad ending. The message in this movie would have been so much stronger if someone meaningful to the story were killed. I know that sounds harsh, but when young men watch this and think they can sell drugs and quit whenever they want and live to tell the story, we do them the greatest inconvenience we could possibly give.
