Reacher (2022– )

LOVE LOVE LOVED IT!

I never read the books, nor did I see any of the movies with Tom Cruise as Reacher and within the first 10-mins I was hooked, line and sinker!

Fantastic choreographed fight scenes, all the actors did an amazing job playing their character and it keeps you rivetted right from the start!

What has me baffled is finding out Tom Cruise was cast to play Reacher in the movies.... WTF???!!!!

Per others who have read the books said.

Alan Ritchson fits the character of the books. He's 6'3Ft and built like a brick $hit house! After watching this I couldn't fathom 5'6 Tom Cruise playing this guy LOL. :)

Julia (2022–2023)

WHY???????!!!!!!

I love the story... I love the actors and actresses... but WHY do they have to ruin it within the first 10-mins with Julia Child's saying the "F" bomb??!!!

Can ANYONE ever imagine Julia Child's using this word for anything? So WHY do they write dialogue for a person that probably would NEVER use this word in her whole existence.

Why do writers feel the need to use the "F" word so loosely. Its becoming a trend of non-imaginative writers having nothing to fill a page without using F words throughout.

I'm not a prude... I honestly don't mind the word when used appropriately (i.e. Cop interviewing a criminal.... do you think the criminal is going to use the word "poop" or "dang nab it?" LOL.

I will not watch anymore of the show after the first 10-mins which is a shame.... but I can't get past Julia Child saying "F$@k"

Poker Face (2023– )

FANTASTIC SHOW!!!

I took a chance of watching the show but assumed it was about playing poker. Much to my surprise it is a "kinda-sorta" detective show without an actual detective.

The format of the show is unlike your typical murder mysteries. They show the murder right in the beginning and then Charlie (Natasha Lyonne) ends up solving in the most unique way. Something reminiscent of the Columbo series which in my own opinion is one of the best detective series to date.

If you liked Columbo... you will certainly enjoy this series. It introduces well known actors each episode I certainly have!!!

I hope this show gets more seasons!!

Lockwood & Co. (2023)

LOVE IT!!

Either I have no life or the show is very good... either way I binged it in one day and want more!!

Like someone else said in a review... don't get too attached to the show because Netflix will probably can it... it seems to be their MO.

I like the grittiness of the show and guess what...NO F BOMBS!! So a entertaining show can be made without a zillion f bombs.

The characters and actors are well cast and the concept is a spooky mystery.

I hope that a season 2 is in the works because the plot and storyline has a lot of potential to continue on for many season (fingers crossed)

At least it's a show a family of all ages can enjoy.

Warehouse 13 (2009–2014)

VERY ENTERTAINING

We binged this show and found it to be extremely entertaining. The concept is similar to "The Librarians" which is another fun show to binge.

I just read online that there may be a reboot of the series which I hope is true. Yes its corny and unbelievable but at least you don't have to worry about "F" bombs and other adult maturity scenes which makes it very family friendly for all ages.

If you truly enjoy the show and want to see a reboot in the future, post your ratings and/or give a nice review.

Sometimes silliness and make-believe takes away the stress of everyday life so shows like this just lets you laugh and be entertained :)

SurrealEstate (2021– )

GLAD IT WAS RENEWED!!

The show has lots of flaws and unbelievable moments but entertaining nonetheless. I really have enjoyed the show and binged the first season on Hulu only to discover it was cancelled.

When I finished the last episode, I went to post my review and found it was renewed for a second season! Woohoo!

Don't watch the show for accurate forensics etc... you will be disappointed... but instead let your imagination go and consider this an updated Ghostbusters :) Thoroughly enjoyed the show and each episode had a nice storyline.

Hopefully the same actors will be back for season 2. I want to know more about the characters.

Wednesday (2022– )

REALLY ENJOYED THIS!

I've grown up with the Addams family and watched the show BEFORE it went into syndication :)

I read some of the BAD reviews and almost didn't watch the show but glad I did. I binged it in one day because I had to know who the monster was.

I found it entertaining, intriguing and well acted. All the nuances of the original Addams family such as the "You rang"... the double snapping of fingers... and even the night time angles of the school looked EXACTLY like the Addams family mansion.

I gladly look forward to more seasons of this show and hope it continues.

Only those who want it to be a replica of the original series will be disappointed.

The Sandman: The Sound of Her Wings (2022) Season 1, Episode 6

AMAZING!! HAVE KLEENEX HANDY

I am not familiar with the Sandman comics so its all new to me...however, the first part of this episode with his sister Death, was so wonderfully written and shot!!

The actress playing Death was perfect for the role and hope to see more of her in the future.

Bosch: Legacy (2022– )

AM I WATCHING THE SAME SHOW?

I binged the Bosch series and before watching Bosch: Legacy I read the reviews and almost didn't watch it because of them.... AND commercials.

I took a chance and started watching and I was wrapped up in it immediately.

Some reviews said poor writing... I was rivetted and thought the storyline was constantly engaging the viewer.

Some reviews said how awful the actress who plays Maddie was. She wasn't any different then she was in the Bosch series and I never found her acting horrific.

The series is very well done and can't wait for season 2 :)

The Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip (2021– )

LOVED IT!!!

All the bravo shows are one of my ways to escape the humdrum. I missed my favorites like Vicki and dorinda and to see them again was like catching up with an old friend.

I also liked seeing them in a different light. People I couldn't stand before, I really connected on a positive level.

It was a joy to watch and not have all the negative drama.

Bargain Block (2021– )

I'M OBSESSED!

I haven't watched a lot of HGTV shows recently because they all seemed cookie-cutter and the same paint colors, same tile, same flooring...yadda yadda yadda

I have binged both seasons of Bargain Block on Discovery + and after each episode I couldn't wait to see what they did next.

Not only are they revitalizing old neighborhoods, each house has its on character and design which keeps me interested.

Keith & Evan's are also great hosts, designers and visionaries.

Hope the house market doesn't bomb because I would hate to see them not be able to make a success out of their talents :)

Below Deck Sailing Yacht (2020– )

REALLY ENJOED SEASON 3

Season 3 was very enjoyable. Mostly because the crew was amazing. The chef never complained and produced gourmet meals.

Watching Ashley mature right before our eyes was such a joy.

The whole crew chemistry and how they worked together in a positive way instead of negative drama was also a pleasant surprise

Would love to see the same cast again next season.

The Body Farm (2011–2012)

I COULD SEE THE POTENTIAL BUT THEY AXED IT ANYWAYS

I read the other reviews and agree with some of the negative comments (i.e. They aren't letting you get to know the characters; the voice over in beginning and end of the series; and wrapping things up in under an hour.

After binging "Waking the Dead" (fantastic series BTW) I liked the two part episodes because you begin to understand and feel for the characters, therefore becoming super involved in the story. Unfortunately that's where "The Body Farm" failed.

Good attempt and wish they could've gone one more season to try and make it work :(

COULDN'T WATCH THIS EPISODE

Love this series and have enjoyed every episode up until this one.

Whoever the director was... sucked! The sounds used in scenes were obnoxious, loud and annoying and the camera is all over the place.

The subject matter of the show probably was good but just couldn't watch it.

The Great (2020–2023)

GOOD... BUT TOO MANY "F" BOMBS :)

The show is actually very, very good however, the "F-bomb" is used so much that it became difficult to watch.

I'm not a prude... I'm retired Navy... but sometimes the F-Word can be used too much and inappropriately. Don't know why its necessary to use it so much... do the producers think its needed to attract viewers?

Love the actors... love the premise of the show... but I'm very turned off by the language.

Poldark (2015–2019)

PLEASE DON'T STOP AT SEASON 5!

I was bored and was looking on Netflix for something to watch.

I've always loved Rupaul.... but this is such a cute, entertaining show.

Imagine my dismay to find out that there will be NO season 2!

I can see so many adventures these two can have and the fact they aren't continuing the story just sucks!

I too was skeptical about the series assuming it was just another typical good vs evil plot.

Well this series totally creeps the hell out of me and I'm on pins and needles each episode. Well written, fantastic actors playing the characters.

Hope they can keep it up :)

Whoever decided to pull the trigger and make a series from the amazing movie "Karate Kid" deserves a huge reward.

So funny that I'm rooting for Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka). Great show!!!
