A Magical Experience Created By The Trio Of Ajay Devgn, Amit Ravindernath Sharma & A. R. Rahman... Sports Drama Is A Popular Genre In Indian Cinema, But Very Few Movies Belonging To It Have Left Their Impact On Audience's Mind, Such As - Chak De India, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, MS Dhoni & Dangal... Talking About "Maidaan", I'll Say That It's Superior Then The Above Mentioned Films And Will Gain Cult Status In Coming Years... If You Are Planning To Watch Any Film Right Now, Book Tickets For It & Witness The Golden Era Of Indian Football & Inspirational Journey Of 'Syed Abdul Rahim' Who Lived & Died For The Game... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Nasir Hussain's Masala Blockbuster Of The 70s With A Huge Repeat Value & An Impeccable Soundtrack Composed By R. D. Burman... "Yaadon Ki Baaraat" Offers Entertainment, Entertainment & Entertainment In Large Doses And It Does That With A Lot Of Style... Salim-Javed's Writing, Performances Of Dharmendra, Zeenat Aman, Ajit & Soulful Songs, Such As "Chura Liya Hai Tumne Jo Dil Ko", "Lekar Hum Deewana Dil" Are The Biggest Strengths Of This Film... It Saddens Me That Today's Writers In Bollywood Have Completely Forgotten Their Roots And As A Result, They Churn Out Craps One After The Other Which No One Watches Even On Television.

Today, I Watched My First Malayalam Film In Cinemas & I Am Thankful To God That It Happened To Be Blessy's "Aadujeevitham: The Goat Life"... I Don't Know Where To Start & Where To End, But If I Have To Summarise The Movie In Few Words, I'll Say There Are Movies Which Entertain You & Then There Are Movies Which Entertain You As Well As Compel You To Become A Strong & Better Human Being... This One Comes In The Latter Category... So Please Book Your Tickets & Enter The World Of 'Najeeb Muhammed' Without Any Ifs & Buts... I Assure You That You Will Come Out Of The Theater Smiling & Thanking The Almighty For Everything He Has Given You.

When Someone Speaks About A Story Of Two Brothers On The Opposite Side Of Law, The First Picture Which Comes To Our Mind Is Of Deewaar, But The Story Of That Film Is Inspired By This Dilip Kumar Classic... If I Compare Both Of Them, I'll Put It Above The Former And There Are Couple Of Reasons For It... First Is Film's Raw Treatment And Rural Setting Which Makes It More Realistic & Easy To Connect... Other Is Performances Of The Cast, Especially Kumar Who Proves That Why He Is Called "The Kohinoor Of Indian Cinema"... He Alone Is Enough To Keep You Glued To The Screen... At Last, I Want To Say That Those Who Love The Anti-Establishment Themed Films Of 70s Should First Watch "Ganga Jumna" Because It All Started From Here.

The First Big Film And One Of The Most Awaited Films Of 2024 Has Been Watched And I Would Just Like To Ask - Why Man? A Movie Based On Indian Air Force Should Have Been About It, But "Fighter" Is More Of A Love Story Between Hrithik Roshan & Deepika Padukone... Another Huge Drawback Is The Lethargic Screenplay Which Keeps You Engaged Only In Parts... The Visuals Are Top-Notch And Get Full Marks, But When Writing Is Weak, They Won't Matter Much... Anil Kapoor Has Nothing Much To Do Here, But Still He Delivers A Sincere Performance... On The Whole, Fighter Is A Big Letdown From Siddharth Anand... Its An Edge Of The Seat Experience In Last 30 Minutes, But Rest Is A Borefest With Too Many Sub-Plots Playing Spoilsport.

One Of The Greatest Films Of Evergreen Star Dev Anand... "Hum Dono" Is Atleast 50 Years Ahead Of It's Time... Be It The Story, Visuals Or Message... Watching It Today, Makes You Realise The High Standards Of Filmmakers & Artists Of Bygone Era... Apart From Film's Noble Theme, One Thing Which Stands Out Is The Highly Successful Music By Jaidev... "Kabhi Khud Pe Kabhi Halat Pe", "Abhi Na Jao Chhod Kar", "Allah Tero Naam Ishwar Tero Naam", "Main Zindagi Ka Saath Nibhata Chala Gaya".... Very Rarely You Find So Many Gems In One Album Because It's Rare To Have A Genius Like Sahir Ludhianvi Writing Lyrics For A Film... Watch This One For Its Unusual, But Heartwarming Premise.

Warning: Spoilers
An Adaptation Of The Hollywood Classic The Godfather With Indian Touch... Disappointing To See A Large No. Of Pseudo-Intellectuals Giving 1 Star To The Film Just Because It's Main Lead Is A Flawed Character Who Is More Of A Rebel & Lives Life On His Own Terms... I Believe Cinema Is A Subjective Medium & We Should Respect Every Filmmaker's Vision... This Is What True Democracy Means... Anyways, Talking About "Animal", The First Thing That Comes To My Mind Is - We Are Fortunate To Live In The Era Of Ranbir Kapoor... His Performance Reminded Me Of Big B From Agneepath... His Screen Presence Is Fabulous... Another Person Who Deserves Major Praise Is Bobby Deol... In Just 15-20 Minutes Of Appearance He Makes A Statement That He's Alive & Kicking... Tripti Dimri Is Fantastic & I'm Sure This Movie Will Prove To Be Her Breakthrough... Hats Off To Captain Of The Ship - Sandeep Reddy Vanga For Not Compromising On The Subject & Giving His 200% In Creating This Monstrous Blockbuster... Can't Wait To Watch Him Triggering More People With Spirit & Animal Park 😜😁.

A Superlative Mini-Series From Indian Film Industry After Long Time... YRF's "The Railway Men" Is The Kind Of Content We Need If We Want To Compete With Universally Acclaimed Shows Like Chernobyl... Kay Kay Menon Rules The Roost... His Performance Is Sure To Send Chills Down The Spine... R. Madhavan, Divyenndu, Babil Khan, Juhi Chawla & Sunny Hinduja Support Him With Utmost Perfection... Visual Effects Are Top Notch, The Editing Is Crisp & Screenplay Watertight... Shiv Rawail Has Left No Stone Unturned In Giving Viewers An Experience Like Never Before... He Makes You Feel The Unfortunate Night Of 2nd December 1984.

As A Movie Buff, It's My Hobby To Search & Watch Iconic Films Of Various Artists Across India... Few Days Back I Got To Know About The First Superstar Of Tamil Cinema, Legendary Sivaji Ganesan & I Decided To Watch Some Of His Early Films... "Andha Naal" Is The First One & I Want To Salute This Man For The Work He Has Done... Also The Makers Deserve Applause For Making A Mystery Thriller Based On Rashomon Effect At The Time When Most Of The Directors Were Making Routine Commercial Films & Very Few Dared To Take Any Risk... In My Opinion, If A List Is Made On Top 10 Thrillers Made In Indian Cinema, It'll Surely Be One Of Them.

Bad Or Poorly Made Films Are Common In Bollywood Or Any Other Film Industry In The World, But There Are Some Movies Which Are So Pathetic That You Don't Forget Them Till The Last Day Of Your Life... "Why Cheat India" Is One Such Film... It Had A Superb Subject In Hand & Could've Been An Inspiring Take On Competitive Exams Like 3 Idiots, Super 30, Chhichhore, Kota Factory Or Aspirants, But It Badly Fails In Execution Department & Ends Up Being An Unconvincing Fare... Emraan Hashmi Like Always Has Given His 100%, But No Actor Can Rise Above The Script... The First Half Is Somewhat Less Frustrating, But Second Half Is A Major Disappointment... AVOID!

The 70s & 80s Were Known As The Violent Era Of Indian Cinema As Most Of The Major Hits During These Years Were Action Films... While Majority Of Them Took A Routine Path Of Families Getting Separated At Beginning & Reuniting Towards The End, There Were Few Exceptions Too Like "The Burning Train"... Talking About It, The First Thing That Comes To My Mind Is - How Did They Make Such A Visually Impressive Film Without Advanced Technologies Such As VFX/CGI? It Can Truly Compete With Any International Movie Of It's Time... From High Speed Cars/Bikes To High Speed Trains It Has Everything To Keep You On The Edge Of Your Seat... Talking About Performances, All The Actors Have Done Well, But It's Dharmendra Who Completely Dominates The Show With His He-Man Persona, Followed By Jeetendra & Vinod Khanna.

A Great Example Of First-Rate Cinema... "Leo : Bloody Sweet" - The Latest Entry In Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU) Is A Visual Extravaganza From The Director & This Time Too He Goes A Step Higher & Creates A Masssssssssssssssy Feast That'll Compel You To Return To Cinemas Again & Again To Witness The World Created By Him & Dominated By Thalapathy Vijay... The Hyena Fight, Cafe Scene & Car Chase Sequence Deserve Special Mention... At Last, I Would Just Like To Say That This Monster Of A Film's Gonna Break Each & Every Record Possible & Will Emerge As The Biggest Kollywood Hit Of All Time... Don't Miss This One!

An Absolute Classic From Shakti Samanta With Extraordinary Performances From Rajesh Khanna & Sharmila Tagore... "Amar Prem" Like Director's Previous Ventures (Aradhana, Kati Patang) Is The Story Of Affection Of A Mother Towards Her Child & This Time Too He Has Handled The Subject In The Most Beautiful Way... Tears Will Automatically Roll Down Your Eyes, Especially Towards The Climax... Music Like Majority Of Khanna's Films Is Of Great Quality... The Golden Trio Of Kishore Kumar, R. D. Burman & Anand Bakshi Have Successfully Delivered Another Evergreen Album... Vinod Mehra Shines In A Small, But Memorable Role.

A Half-Hearted Attempt From Anand L. Rai To Create A Hollywoodish Kinda Romantic Drama... "Zero" Could Have Been Wonderful Had It Not Lost It's Desi Touch In The 2nd Half And This Is Where The Film Goes Massively Downhill... Shah Rukh Khan Is Outstanding In The Role Of A Dwarf... It's His Performance That Makes The Film More Bearable... Katrina Kaif Is Fine In The Role Of A Frustrated Actress, Anushka Sharma Is Somewhat Okayish In 1st Half, But Completely Wasted In The 2nd Half... VFX Is Absolutely Brilliant & Makes You Think, What If The Film Had A Great Story... I Am Sure It Would Have Broken Good No. Of Records... Anyways, Watch The Film Only If You Are A Diehard SRK Fan... If Not, It May Let You Down.

Cinema Is Generally Considered A Source Of Entertainment, But There Are Few Films That Shake You To The Core... Christopher Nolan's "Oppenheimer" Is One Such Film... It's Superbly Crafted, The Characters Are Very Well-Written, All The Actors (Cilian Murphy, Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr., Tom Conti) Have Given Their Best & Last But Not The Least, It Is Easily One Of The Most Visually Impressive Movies Of All Time... If There's A Definition Of Perfect Anywhere In The World Than This One Completely Satisfies That Definition... It's My Humble Request To Everyone Reading The Review, Please Book Your Tickets & Experience It On The Biggest Screen Possible.

A Landmark Film From Maverick Director & Actor Guru Dutt... "Baazi" Is Remembered As The Flick Which Made Dev Anand An Overnight Sensation, But That's Only A Part Of It's Mammoth Achievements... It Introduced A New Genre Called "Bombay Noir" Which Became Quite Popular In The Early 50s & 60s... It Also Launched The Careers Of Singer Geeta Dutt, Actors Geeta Bali, Kalpana Kartik & Johnny Walker And Screenplay Writer Balraj Sahni Who Later Went On To Become An Acclaimed Artist As Well... The Most Interesting Part Is, The Movie's Still Fresh Even After 70+ Years Of Release And I Would Give The Credit To Its Making Which Is Truly World Class.

The Film That Made Me A Sunny Deol Fan For Life... Late 80s Was Considered The End Of Violent Era & Resurgence Of Romantic Era... Movies, Such As Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, Chandni, Maine Pyar Kiya, Aashiqui Emerged Solid Hits... So The Expectations From A High Octane Action Film Like "Ghayal" Were Less, But Destiny Had Other Plans As It Went On To Emerge A Massive Blockbuster & Attained Cult Status In Later Years... Deol & Amrish Puri, Who Was One The Finest Villains Ever Have Clashed In Many Films, But The Intensity In This One Was On Another Level... The Action Sequences Were Well-Designed & Goosebumps Inducing.

Ace Director Hrishikesh Mukherjee Is Known For Introducing Middle Of The Road Cinema To Bollywood... "Anand" Too Comes In That Zone, But It's Far Ahead From His Other Movies & The Credit Goes To None Other Than Rajesh Khanna's Touching Act... He Did This Offbeat Film At The Peak Of His Career & Proved That He Was Not Only A Superstar, But A Great Actor Too Who Can Play Any Character With Ease... Amitabh Bachchan Gives A Subtle Performance, He Excels In The Role Of A Grief-Stricken Doctor... Salil Chowdhury's Music Is Heart-Touching, But Haunting At The Same Time... It Keeps Reminding You About The Upcoming Doom After Moments Of Happiness.

When You Hear About The Collaboration Of Mammootty & Lijo Jose Pellissery, You Expect Nothing But A Masterpiece Or Atleast A Good Film... Sadly, "Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam" Fails To Achieve The Feat & Turns Out To Be A Moderate Fare Which's Hard To Complete In One Sitting... Though It Has Breathtaking Cinematography & Superlative Performance Of Mammookka, The Screenplay Is Partly-Engaging & Too Slow Even For A Cinema-Lover + There Are Very Few Feel Good & Comic Moments... Film's Concept Is Actually Very Good, But The Director Has Failed To Handle It Properly... I Think It Would Have Been Better If This Story Was Made Into A 20-30 Minutes Short Film Instead Of A Full Fledged Feature Film.

FANTABULOUS
16 March 2023
Since The OTT Revolution In India, Many Good Web-Shows Have Been Produced, But Sony LIV's "Rocket Boys" Is Miles Above Them... This Is Easily The Most Brilliantly Woven Piece Of Art From Digital Space... Jim Sarbh & Ishwak Singh Have Played Their Respective Parts With Aplomb... They Are Too Good As Homi Jehangir Bhabha & Vikram Sarabhai... It's Really Good To See That Finally Movies/Series Are Being Made On The Lives Of Our Great Scientists Who Worked Day & Night Without Thinking About Their Lives, Just To Make India A Self-Reliant Nation... Hope We Get To See More Such Inspiring & Heart-Touching Stories In Future.

I Think Every Person In The World Must Have Watched "Titanic" Atleast Once... I Have Watched It Atleast 40 Times On TV/OTT, But Today I Watched It In A Theater For The First Time At The Occasion Of It's 25th Anniversary & Couldn't Stop Myself From Writing A Review... Well, This Epic Doesn't Needs One, But This Is Just To Tell People That How Much I Enjoyed Watching This Exqusite Piece Of Cinema On The Big Screen... All The Great Movie Experiences Will Fail In Front Of It & You'll Come Out With A Smile On Your Face... I Also Think This Is James Cameron's Most Mature Work Till Date & Stands Much Above Terminator & Avatar... Please Don't Miss The Golden Opportunity Of Watching This Absolute Gem Of A Film In Cinemas.

In The Busy World We Live, It's Quite Rare For Someone To Finish A Show In One Go, But There Are Exceptions Like Balwinder Singh Janjua's "CAT"... It Boldly Sheds Light On The Menace Of Drugs, Terrorism, Gun Culture Without Trying To Be Politically Correct... Randeep Hooda Has Carried The Whole Season On His Shoulders... His Performance, Look, Accent Are Brilliant... He Deserves More Such Good Roles In The Future... Suvinder Vicky Is A Discovery... His Complex Character Will Force You To Think Till The Last Minute... Hasleen Kaur, Pramod Pathak & Other Supporting Actors Have Also Given Their Best.

When It Comes To Well-Crafted & Realistic Cop Movies In Bollywood, The Names Which Come To Our Mind Are Sarfarosh, Shool, Gangaajal Etc... "Sehar" Although A Bit Underrated Can Easily Compete With The Above Mentioned Films... It's Bold, Hard-Hitting & Doesn't Shies Away From Showing The Brutal Mafia Raj In Uttar Pradesh In The Late 90s, History Of STF (Special Task Force) & How The Newly Arrived Cell-Phone Technology Posed A Challenge For The Police At That Time... Arshad Warsi Who Is Known For His Comic Roles In Golmaal Series, Dhamaal Series, Jolly LLB Has Played The Role Of SSP Ajay Kumar With Absolute Finesse.

A Hardcore Massy Entertainer Which's Raw, Deeply Rooted & Gives A Never Seen Before Experience To The Audience... Rishab Shetty Shines As The Director As Well As The Protagonist... His Electrifying Performance, Especially In The Final 20 Minutes Is Sure To Give You Goosebumps... Kishore Is Equally Good & Same Goes For Achyuth Kumar... Arvind S. Kashyap's Cinematography Is Amusing & Deserves Applause + Accolades... The Way He Has Captured Forests, Villages & The 'Bhoota Kola' Ritual Is Just Amazing... On The Whole, "Kantara" Is Another Milestone From The Sandalwood After Films Like Kavaludaari, KGF, 777 Charlie, Ulidavaru Kandanthe... It's Not Just A Film, But An Emotion That'll Surely Connect With Each & Every Indian... Highly Recommended!

An Exceptional, Heart-Breaking Story Which'll Remain With You Forever... You'll Become A Die-Hard Fan Of Dhanush & Shruti Haasan After Watching "3"... They Have Put Their Heart & Soul In It, The Emotional Sequences Between Them Would Make A Stone Cry... Can't Imagine Any Other Actor Playing Ram & Janani Respectively... This Is Anirudh Ravichander's Finest & Most Wonderful Composition Till Date... Every Score Is Euphonious & Like A Breath Of Fresh Air, Be It 'Why This Kolaveri' Which Was An Instant Chartbuster When It Released Or 'Po Nee Po'... Aishwarya Rajinikanth Makes An Impressive Directional Debut.
