Notes of Autumn (2023 TV Movie)
5/10
Pretty much what you expect from Hallmark...
18 September 2023
... bad acting, fake sets and predictable moments.

But I wanted to review it just cause in the few instances I've seen gay characters on Hallmark, then I've checked reviews here and it was honestly hilarious: all they do is their usual predictable love story and then share a peck in the last 3 minutes.

And then I came here to find reviews like: "well, I just wanted to relax, I didn't came here to find political propaganda" or "I don't know why Hallmark needs to do movies like these"...

People finding outrageous such a completely plain movie just cause of the gay factor was really something. If you can't even enjoy a movie because of that, wow lol.

Cheer up and revisit your priorities in life.

Exactly what you'd expect (for better or worse)
16 September 2022
Not much to say, 100 minutes go by quite quickly and you'll forget about the movie as soon as you're out of the cinema.

Just one thing: accents have always been butchered, before Dick Van Dyke and on. And acting is all about filling the shoes of a person you're not, putting yourself out there and learning mannerism, changing posture or whatever.

So it doesn't always have to be just having a British person play a Brit, a German playing a German and so on.

But as in the US making a stereotyped vernacular for latino or asian immigrants is no longer seen as ok, maybe try to expand that view including the rest of the World: I've seen Italian accent (which is not Italian-American accent...) made into a mockery for years now, but in the wrong way. We do indeed speak English badly and with very specific sounds, but those are not the sounds and accent used in House of Gucci or here or in basically any episode or movie set in Italy.

Each of non-native English speakers have their own peculiarities, and it's amusing to see those differences and joke with them. But try at least to make an effort in portraying them as they are.

"Found-ittt at the vìlllllla" it's not how it would be said with an Italian accent.

Kindly, the whole World.

Crush (I) (2022)

Surprisingly sweet
29 April 2022
It's a classic coming of age / High School romance movie, so expect all the elements you'd usually expect.

This being said, even with the most common genres, you can put heart into it or less so.

And this one definitely has heart!

Both Blanchard and Cravalho put emotional depth into their performance, Alvarez and Dunn are nice as the couple/Best friends of the protagonist (and Alvarez especially has the funniest zing and quips), the principal has no time for students' drama...

Many of these kind of movies feel like a series of pre-chosen scenes that neither the actors nor the director seem to really believe in nor be into - this one felt like they were enjoying their time there, and it passes on to the audience.

Simple, yet sweet, relaxing and enjoyable.

Reacher (2022– )
5/10
Maybe the rating should go further than "yep, taller and bulkier than Tom Cruise, good enough for me"
7 February 2022
As of February 7th, 2022 the IMDb rating is 8,6.

This show is no more than a 6,5: action scenes are sometimes good but script, acting and general plotline are weak.

Still, it seems that to most voters as of now, the fact that Alan Ritchson is more faithful to the book depiction of Reacher compared to the previous Tom Cruise movies (i.e. He has a taller frame, more muscular etc) is enough to give 9s and 10s to the show.

I get it that the physical part is appreciated, but perhaps rating the show as a whole could be a thrilling sensation.
