Super intriguing storyline
I took up this drama after watching the amazing chemistry of the leading characters in the various youtube fan videos. To my surprise, this series turned out to be very interesting and peaked my curiosity till the last few episodes. Almost every episode ended on a cliffhanger and the story had a nice balance of humour and suspense.
My only critic for this series is that the story could have been framed a little better towards the end. After a super thrilling first half of the series, the identification of the suspect in the second becomes way too simplistic. The suspect doesn't even try to try to save himself or cover his steps. Another questionable aspect is on why does the suspect doesn't engage in any other crime in the 20 years gap shown in the show. If a little twist could have been given to these aspects in the show, it would have been the top thriller-comedy of the year.

One of best Rom-Coms among Kdramas
A beautifully developed series in the genre of coming-of-age and rom-com. The portrayal of a reckless & gutsy teenager for the leading character of Hee-Do is amazingly on-point. Somehow, she does remind of Naruto (anime). The story is filled with heart melting moments. The timeline of 90s is especially touching for a millennial viewer. The story also has a realistic touch to it which differentiates it from typical rom-com Kdramas. Some songs from the series are also too good.
Having said all good points, the series has certain downfalls too. Some segments like one of the team members quitting fencing seemed unnecessarily dragged. The teenagers at certain points depicted far higher emotional intelligence with respect to their age. {Spoiler} The last segment on Hee-Do (older) still affected by the way in which they break-up didn't add since they did meet after the breakup where (in a way) they cleared-up on any negative emotions that they showed during break-up.
Lastly, given than Hee-Do and Ye-Jin were so good as a couple, I badly wanted them to be together. They could have got together after she retired from fencing. In real life, is it so unlikely for two individuals in extremely high performing careers to be together, as shown in the series Ye-Jin try to make a change in the way world thinks through his career in media while Hee-Do working on winning Olympic medals.
Overall, this was an amazing show and is highly recommended for people into romantic dramas and romantic comedies.
