Rick and Morty: Star Mort Rickturn of the Jerri (2020)
Rick and Morty's Best Episode Gives the Fans what They want.
The best Rick and Morty to date, Star Mort: Rickturn of the Jerri is a masterpiece fans have been waiting for, in fact they've been waiting for over two seasons, an eternity for Meeseeks like us.
For a season that seemed destined to leave the fans wanting, this finale delivers on ever level. So many questions are finally answered, so many plot-lines are resolved and the episode is jammed packed with unbelievable amounts of action. All the characters get story arcs, though not all of it takes place on screen. The episode is also not lacking laughs, from Rick's dry wit to Jerry being Jerry. even at his best.
Two thing put this episode from, classic to masterpiece. The first is an incredible action packed battle between Rick and an Old Friend who makes for an incredible villain.. The battle witch takes place tops any which have come before and will leave you on the edge of your seat.
However it's the ending that puts this episode over the top, with a clever twist ending no one will have scene coming. It is an emotional gut punch witch leaves Leaving even Rick shocked and ashamed with himself. For the first time Rick shows remorse.
This episode reminds us what was so good about the original Star Wars, but it's not Star Wars, it's Rick and Morty, showing they can succeed where the Rise of Skywalker failed, delivering Fan service without sacrificing quality storytelling or artistic integrity.
Rick and Morty might have it's ups and down but season 4 proves that the show doesn't need to follow any rules, even their own, and it is this creative freedom makes it clear that Rick and Morty could be around for 100 years even Forever.
Rick and Morty: The Vat of Acid Episode (2020)
A Relationship As Toxic as the Titular Vat of Acid.
This episode is a masterpiece, and the way the third act brings the seemingly unfocused story together is Rick and Morty at its best.
This episode hilarious, has some truly brilliant dark comedy, but the ruthlessness of Rick is anything but funny. Both Rick and Morty do some terrible things, but it's Rick who reveals how far he is willing to go to teach is grandson a lesson, don't ever question Rick.
Rick and Morty are drifting apart and Rick will do anything to stop that from happening, even push Morty away. Simply put, Rick and Morty's relationship is a toxic as the titular Vat of Acid.
Rick and Morty: Promortyus (2020)
Classic Rick and Morty.
After the Brilliant but head ache inducing Never Ricking Morty. We get an episode that, plays it safe. It might not be their best episode, but it is sure to be a fan favourite for those who have found this season to be too fast paced and complicated. We see Rick and Morty have a fun filled adventure shooting aliens and blowing up buildings. They get to not feel guilt, and worry about the consequences.
It's only after the adventure ends that Rick and Morty find out that thins are not as they seem. They don't know the full story...
Promortyus is clever, but not too clever, Offensive, but not 911 offensive, and weird but not meta weird. This episode is not their best, but far from the worst. It's just classic Rick and Morty and the fact is thats enough for me.
Rick and Morty: Claw and Hoarder: Special Ricktim's Morty (2019)
Have fun and don't ask questions...cause you may not like the answers.
Stupid dumb fun this episode had me in stitches. The least serious and most funny rick and Morty episode we've scene in a while. Just enjoy the ride and don't ask questions like the cat says, Rick and Jerry can attest to that.
God dam it I can't help it, why can the cat talk?
Rick and Morty: Rattlestar Ricklactica (2019)
Snakes = Ouroboros
Time traveling snakes eat their own tail.
Let's be real, the worst episode of this serious has still been a blast. Rick and Morty are fun, but this episode will go down as one of the all time classics. We finally get time travel and relish in the resulting crap show. The episode mocks the inevitable problems time travel has on both the characters and more importantly, logical story telling. Like The Heist episode, it becomes a glorious fun satirical mess. Simply put time travel sucks....now play me some of that Snake Jazz.
Family Guy: Disney's The Reboot (2019)
Return to form, a Middle Finger to television
In many way's a spiritual sequel to Emmy-Winning Episode. While the former made fun of many great shows on television, this episode destroys the worst of television. Of course critically acclaimed shows aren't safe either. Calling this a laugh a minute riot is selling this episode short. One of the best Family Guy episodes in years
3 from Hell (2019)
RIP Sid Haig
I haven't seen the movie yet, but wanted to pay my respects to a truly brilliant actor. I know his health limited his appearance in the movie, but I'm sure his character is given a fitting send off he deserves.
Game of Thrones: The Bells (2019)
Like it or not, this was George RR Martin
Trust me I know this season is rushed, and this has definitely harmed both the show and previously episodes but if you don't like this episode it's because hating the show has become trendy. If you think Game Of Thrones doesn't end like this you haven't been paying attention. D&D may be writing the show now and messing it up at times but George RR Martin did give them key info. they could've done a better job realizing this ending but you all seem to have forgotten that Gorge RR Martin wrote the Red Wedding. Well this was that time 10. This was Armageddon.
Martin tears down religion through out the show and Dany was the prophet, the Mother of Dragon's the Breaker of Chains. He built a christ like hero only to tear her down. The other christ like hero spent his life fighting the doom from the north only to realize too late the doom was the prophet he swore his life too. Thats the sad bitter sweet truth about Game of Thrones and the wold Martin built, There are no savours, there are no pure hero's and villains, only broken people trying to stay on the write path, and not succumb to the madness within us all.
To this point Jon Snow has failed as a prophet just as much as Dany...but it's not too late for him to fulfill his destiny by becoming king and stopping the doom consuming all of Westeros. All he needs to do, is break his vow and betray his Queen...The Honour of Jon Snow will decide the fate of all, just like Ned Stark before him.
This episode was brilliant, I just wished they built to it at the same pace they have in past seasons. That and that above all is what's harmed the final two seasons.
Maybe the source of Dany's power and sanity are her dragons, maybe theres a reason beyond Mad Kings, and lost friends that have turned Dany into the monster she swore to defeat. Maybe they could've emphasized that more so the twist didn't feel as rushed.
