I loved this movie. This is by far the funniest Sandler I've seen. I have not seen The Wedding Singer, but it has Billy Madison, Big Daddy, and Happy Gilmore beat. I went in to it skeptical because sometimes I just can't get down with a type of humor that I find many times more stupid than funny. However, I recommend this movie to everyone. It's about a simple waterboy who rights all the past wrongs done him when he raises up and becomes a star member of the football team.

I agree with the one guy who commented on this movie before me in that it is deep and thought provoking. Why does it seem like the US only produces superficial muck and that many of the interesting movies are foreign? What does that say about us Americans? Getting back to the movie, immediately you know that a movie with a plot interlaced with the teachings of Sartre cannot disappoint you. Flirting is about a young, interracial couple (African girl and white American boy) experiencing love despite the obstacles placed before them. They endure in spite of the restrictions placed on them at school and the political pressures she faces in her homeland. I enjoyed the film. Many of the characters are complex and it is interesting watching them go through the experiences of youth as they come to know love and themselves.

This movie surprised me and turned out to be pretty good. I left the room when they started to watch it but the bits and pieces I caught at the beginning were enough to reel me in. In Bait Jamie Foxx plays an ex-con being used without his knowledge as lure for a dangerous criminal. I thought Jamie Foxx was really funny. All throughout Bait I kept drawing parallels to Will Smith and Enemy of the State(one of the surveillance actors from Enemy of the State actually plays the same role in Bait). Foxx is definitely funnier than Will and that makes the movie as a whole really funny. I don't know how the movie was promoted, but I would actually describe it as a comedy before an action film.

How can you not simply adore this movie? Shirley McLaine is great as she dances and sings her way into your heart. You can't help but sympathize with her as she searches unsuccessfully for love. The dance scenes in the movie are spectacular. I particularly liked the way that each of the various performances from the film gave a glimpse into a particular sect of society during 70's America. First you see Charity's sordid bunch at the dance hall, then we see the lavish and extravagant high society of Vittorio at his celebrity club, and finally the love children at the Rhythm of Life hippie handout. Makes this 24yr old feel like he missed out. Maybe you baby boomers really are `The Greatest Generation.'
