Monkey Man (2024)

Nice cast, great debut!

The movie is indo western classic. Dev has done a gr8 job mixing Hollywood with Bollywood. Some scenes seem similar to KGF and John wick, but monkey man is very much a credible movie by itself. Some might feel it's anti Hindu or pro hindu and that's what has impacted the reviews.

The cast and acting is top notch, makes you wonder why Bollywood movies are not shot this way. For a change the movies captures both extremes the ultra rich and the ultra poor and shows them beautifully and with depth.

Adding a legend tabla player just adds to the aesthetics of the movie.

The movie at time feels a bit dragged and slow, and the script is quiet predictable. However the way it is picturised makes for a intriguing watch.

Awesome movie! Well written, well casted, excellent screenplay. The youth in our country needs such cinema. It's a welcome relief from propaganda loaded movies which distort and twist the truth to corrupt impressionable minds.

Vikrant Massey's acting is just top notch, with this performance he is up there with the biggies like Irfan Khan and Manoj Bajpai.

Yet another masterpiece from VVC, choosing a topic which very few would consider making a movie out of. Unlike the subject which could seem dry and unrelated to many, the storyline flows with ease and does not feel dragged or overbearing at any point.

All characters do well to support the main lead. The story will be an inspiration to many young aspirants.
