Fist Fight (2017)
Phenomenal Casting
I thoroughly enjoyed watching this. It's shot, produced, and cut very well. The material is well written and you can tell they had a lot of fun making this. You've got Charlie Day, Ice Cube, Tracy Morgan, a live-action version of Archer's "Pam", and Hank from Breaking Bad; this cast is perfect for being wack! You obviously have to suspend some disbelief to enjoy it just like any comedy, especially one set in a High School. It's a movie about Redemption and the consequences that follow based on our actions, we learn that words are always going to matter, regardless of the circumstances. If you want a "Bad Teacher" type of movie or just a "screw the system" kind of film then this is definitely the one for you.
Stuck on You! (1983)
I was surprised
I looked at the cover, saw who made it, and gave it 5 minutes to convince me this is worth my time. This was worth every second, this movie is genius in it's own right as a comedy. This is by far the wackiest romantic comedy i have ever seen, but it also has its subtle moments right when they are needed. Considering I usually cannot stand romantic comedies, this says a lot. By the end I felt like I really knew the characters and what they were going through, especially toward the end. Something interesting would occur every other minute, there were no boring parts throughout the whole film and that is hard to pull off, especially today. Given that the budget was only 150,000, Kaufman and co did extremely well.
Star Trek: A Private Little War (1968)
Prime definition of a bad day
I didn't think much about this episode till I saw the end of it, then it hit me. It's seems no matter what the problem is, Kirk wants to solve it. He's determined to take care of it no matter how difficult it may be. Many of us can relate to his dilemma, especially towards the end. Life throws us obstacles every chance it gets, making things worse unless we deal with them on our terms.
As you could plainly see in the end in this marvelous episode, nobody wins. Those are the moments where you can only tell yourself "f*ck this, I'm going home". You throw in the towel, accept defeat, try to figure out the lesson you were given and move on. Its the prime definition of a bad day.
My Bloody Valentine (1981)
"I would rather get hit by a car than watch this again"
This IS one of the worst films ever made.
I can not even begin the elaborate on how lame of a love story they tried to throw in this piece of garbage. The acting is so horrible I would rather get hit by a speeding car than watch this again. If I were to guess correctly, they picked people up off the street to save time on auditioning. I wouldn't be surprised if any of the production staff killed themselves out of shame. This movie is so bad, it's not even worth being reviewed. I just feel like venting my anger on how I lost two hours of my precious time watching this abomination. Do yourself a favor and stay far far away from this film as possible.
