A Nation of Broth (2022)
Live abalone
A Nation of Broth" is a Korean show about local food that features the eating of live abalone in broth. The show follows a group of people as they travel to different locations to try different types of food and broth. The group consists of an old man who sees himself as a food expert, a chatty woman who frequently laughs inappropriately, and a younger man who seems disinterested.
One of the highlights of the show is the beautiful footage of the scenery, although there could have been more of it. The food, particularly the broth, is also interesting to watch, although the scenes of live abalone squirming in the hot broth may not be for everyone. The old man comes across as pretentious and the woman's constant laughing can be grating. The younger man seems out of place and is not given much screen time.
Overall, "A Nation of Broth" is an interesting show for those interested in local food and culture, but it may not appeal to everyone due to the graphic nature of some of the scenes and the less than likable characters.
Love Life (2020)
A show about nothing
This is a show about nothing, but in a bad way. No story, no characters to speak of, no point. Granted, here and there you can see some nice photography of NY, and Ana Kendrick isan ok actress (what is she doing there?), but these do not redeem this cringe fest of a boring irritating show.
Funny that they stole the premise of sex in the city, just to create something much worse.
HBO, really, why? This garabage has "Netflix original" written all over it.
Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)
It's a shame I can't give less than 1
And it is even more amazing that this movie succeeded in being more idiotic than the first. I'm conflicting what is worse, Gal Gadot's "acting" or the script. I guess both on the same level.
On a brighter note, this movie can be great if you are post lobotomy. Enjoy.
Crazy Delicious (2020)
Congrats, the most bizzare and disgusting food show in a while
Somebody comoared the hostess to Mimi from the Drew Carey show. Spot on.
The judges ("gods"?) are more pretentious than the usual.
Molecular cooking is like deconstruction of fecal matter.
The set looks like Willie Wonka overdosed on colored sugar and puked.
And I thought Zumbo was disgusting...
Well, enjoy.

They should use AI to produce better shows
The female protagonist is a cliche with less authenticity then a Coca-Cola ad, and with a whole bunch of fake smiles. The male protagonist acts like a bad used up porn star.
Watching this show feels like swimming in a
smelly pond of all previous Sci-Fi tropes about AI, VR, cyberpunk etc.
I'm quite curious about the persons that gave this junk 9 and 10. Did this people never saw Sci-Fi before and thought this was original?
Perhaps they can start making AIs to write better shows? Anything would be better than this.
October Faction (2020)
Makes me wonder why I pay Netflix
Other questions that come to my mind:
Why have I watched this? why is the acting so horrible? who wrote this? who directed this?
Marriage Story (2019)
Narcissitic dribble
I didn't really care about writing a review until I saw all these 9/10 and 10/10 reviews that seem fraud.
The film starts with a long narration about the main heros. These long narcissitic monologous are cringe worthy. There is something special about the acting of the husband, the wife and the kid. As Tolstoy said, all good actings are similar but these actings are terrible all in a different way.
Do you want to spend two hours of your life listening to endless narcisstic dribble of entitled vapid characters? go ahead, make your day.
The Outsider (2018)
This is a very good movie.
Slow and fast, at times meditative, and at times fast and furious and full of gore.
Nice portrayl of Japanese culture, with lots of respect for precious yakuza and samurai films. Movies and art in general should be enjoyed without the ugly constraints of pc. If you have love for Japan, Japanese cinema, and film noir, do yourself a favour, watch this.
Jane the Virgin (2014)
toxic waste
This is painful to watch, cringeworth humor, The narrator not the least of it.
Aseudal Yeondaegi (2019)
Fast forward to the action parts
This show started ok, with lots of action and fast pace. Soon it deteriorated to lon g dialogues and poor acting. I kept finding myself fast forwarding to the less boring parts.
Scam City (2012)
Funny show
Just saw the NY episode. The presentor just bought a cheap perfume in China town and he suspects the perfume is not genuine. shocking.
If he really wantwd to get scammed he should have entered every high priced hotel in NY, and then pay room tax + city tax + maid tax + maid tip + bartender tip...
I suspect the biggest scam in the show is all the sensationalist editing and staged scenes.
Still, the show is quite entertaining and funny with some nice footage of cities around the world.
Wine Country (2019)
Trying too hard
I wonder how such a miserable movie got 5.5. The jokes are stale, the characters are non-existent, the actresses are repulsive, and it seems like someone just wanted to make a quick buck. Tina Fey, all the way.
