Watched it again the next day!
28 December 2023
I rented this movie last night and left feeling it was a pretty average movie. I thought I was missing something and watched it again. Liked it so much more! The dialogue was great and you had to pay attention to some comments that may have missed. That is what made me like it even more! I really thought this another great movie by Guy Ritchie. And I absolutely love Jason Statham in these movies.

I would take the negative reviews with a grain of salt. I thought all of the actors were fantastic and chemistry was great amongst them. I would love to have a sequel to this crew. It had the right balance of action and charismatic interactions. A must rent!

All Rise: Dancing at Los Angeles (2020)
Season 1, Episode 21
10/10
Watching in 2023...10+++
2 September 2023
I started watching All Rise on Hulu this summer and this episode was amazing. I found myself so emotional by how wonderful they handled the episode. The last scene made me cry as I remembered those first initial months. This show is has HEART! Love the relationship of a Lola and Mark. The friendships are so layered and relatable. I, not sure if this show is still on but I sure hope so. Just started season two.

A shout out to Simone Missick who I first saw on Luke Cage. Love the diverse cast. Thoughtful writing with humor and depth in all the right places. Hoping season 2 will be as good as 1.

Although different from first two still worth it!

Warning: Spoilers
There were so many low ratings. I don't understand. I thought the chemistry with Selma and Channing was amazing from the start. Although the circumstances of them together was poorly written, the rest of the movie didn't disappoint from previous Magic Mike movies. Funny and dramatic was exactly what I look for. Channing Tatum seriously moves like water. I find myself cheering on the dancers. So glad there were cameos that I was hoping for even though small.

Ultimately if you are a Channing Tatum fan and want to complete the Magic Mike trilogy. This will be better than other reviewers have rated. Just have fun and let it wash over you!

Really not that bad

Warning: Spoilers
Jennifer Lopez is an entertainer so I do like watching her movies. This movie could have shaved a few minutes off as it went a little long but overall a good relatively suspenseful, action movie. Although some predictable moments, it did not end with the protagonist getting the man or keeping her kid. The actress who played the daughter was good. A lot of potential and seemed to have good chemistry with JLo and Omari Hardict.

Agree with one reviewer, it's with worth a watch if you are looking for a movie night on the couch. I would have gave it a 6 but gave it a 7 for the ending. I think the many 1 ratings aren't accurate. The movie want that bad.

Extremely pleasant and twist on Hallmark love story

I watched this because I am a fan of Niall Matter and wanted to see something different for Hallmatk. Very much enjoyed. Very sweet moments and love the entire family Interaction, not just the two leading roles. Definitely worth watching!

How did I miss this one last year?!
20 November 2021
Of course Hallmark Christmas movies follows the same formula....no surprise there. What surprised me was the story and humor. I laughed out loud a few times. Bethany Joy has great chemistry with a lot of her cast mates but this was one of the best. Great cast all around. Fantastic movie and definitely worth catching this holiday season!

Definitely worth watching
29 August 2021
I was never aware of this show, Soul or it's producer/host Ellis Haizlip, as it was on slightly before my time. But I'm also embarrassed that it wasn't something we should know about as part of television history. This show and documentary about the show was amazing. It showed some Black artists I had never heard of and Black culture I still haven't seen so authentically displayed on television even today. Fantastic movie!

I didn't know what to expect. Fantastic action from start to finish. Humor galore in all the right places. Sorry Mel, this was totally Frank's movie.

This movie/documentary is amazing! It's something I've never seen before. I don't want to spoil it but if you aren't moved by this movie, you must be the tin man!

Didn't know what to expect

But I truly enjoyed this movie. I love Justin Timberlake as an actor and wasn't sure about the ex-con angle but it really surprised me. The chemistry with him and the kid was amazing. It was such a lovely and heartwarming story that made me laugh and cry. Definitely work watching! Great job by director, Fisher Stevens.

Second Chances (2013 TV Movie)

Really enjoyed this movie, especially the kids
9 January 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This movie was delightful with a plot very different than most Hallmark movies. I think it was a nice spin on the typical romance. I think the lead male fell in love with the kids first! Greg Vaughn and Allison Sweeney were both great, using their soap opera experience to illustrate true angst and great chemistry. This is the highest rating I've given a Hallmark movie. Again I think the kids made the movie for me...their acting was phenomenal. Wish I had found this movie sooner given it's a 2013 film.

Cute movie
31 December 2020
But that's the usual expectation for a Hallmark movie. I decided to watch because of Jodie Sweetin and I like seeing Eric Winter as a romantic lead. He has a charm about him. A bit slow and plot was a bit forced but I can look past it given it's expected.

Don't want to pile on, but...
29 December 2020
It was not good. But I was apparently in the minority because I thought the first Wonder Woman wasn't that great given all the hype. As a woman, it felt like I would be shamed for admitting that the movie was just ok. But now with this sequel, I didn't have very high expectations which is probably why I gave it a 5...an extra star for just Chris Pine's eyes. Sorry DC failed again.

Didn't care for it
28 December 2020
Once I got through the first 30 minutes, for some reason I had to finish it. I guess it was good to see Cage and Fishburne, but I just think it was that great. No one was likable at all. I guess seeing the complexity of the drug supply chain, but there so many things that didn't explain why we had certain scenes. Oh well... for those who want to see Cage or Fishburne, give it a go.

Good suspense and great acting
26 December 2020
I heard a lot of mixed reviews for this movie and wanted to see for myself. Sarah Paulson was great as well as new to film, Kiera Allen. It may not had been the most believable plot but it was still an enjoyable suspenseful movie. Give it a go! Barely 90 minutes but worth the time.

Feel good, but preachy comedy
20 December 2020
Enjoyed Melissa McCarthy and she made me laugh a few times. It seems she is improvising sometimes making her screen partner laugh. I like that! The unoriginal plot had a slightly different take but still accomplished it's goal to preach about what humans are/are not doing. Melissa looked great and enjoyed the chemistry with her and Bobby Cannavale. Brian Tyree Henry is always enjoyable to watch. I think all of the cast made this movie worth watching, again plot aside, I still enjoyed it.

Put off this movie but still pleasant
20 December 2020
I delayed watching this movie on Netflix because I get enough of these from Hallmark mid-year and actually at Christmastime (starting late October for them). But I still enjoyed this movie. Vanessa Hudgens was pleasant and the two leading men were likable. Truly loved seeing my man from the tv show, Nashville (too bad couldn't hear his beautiful voice). Overall nice fun movie.

Solid doc but higher rating was due to nostalgia
19 December 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I thought this documentary was just a tad boring. It was hard to keep my interest until seeing them talk about making the songs from SNF. It was magical to hear inspirations and approach to sound and it was so amazing hearing those songs again. I did appreciate how they incorporated Andy Gibb and part of his journey and loved the clip of him performing with The Bee Gees on stage. I definitely got emotional when talking about loss of Maurice and Robin...that last statement by Barry about giving all the hits up to have them all back- Just ripped right through me and made me so sad. If you love or loved The Bee Gees, this should be watched.

Typical premise but still a great movie.
13 December 2020
Autumn Reeser is delightful. Loved her character's personality and humorous comments. Felt like authentic conversations. I thought there was good chemistry with her and Antonio Cupo. The supporting cast was lovely as well. It didn't feel as stilted as some of the Hallmark movie casts. Also loved how the homeowner/caretaker was so sweet to Jessica. The cast and acting made this one work!

Very touching
13 December 2020
I was touched by this movie. A different approach from the usual Hallmark Christmas movie. Ben Savage showing his sense of humor that he is known for even since he was as a child star. Good to have a Jewish holiday celebrated. Mia Kirshner was sweet and demonstrated well all of the emotions she was dealing with. Loved seeing Marilu Henner in a different role since I've only seen her in all of the Aurora Teagarden mysteries recently. Very sweet movie and worth a shot.

Enjoyable enough
12 December 2020
Watched because Danica McKellar is always pleasant in these Hallmark movies. I don't want to say she and the male lead didn't have chemistry but something was off that I couldn't put my finger on. Either way, enjoyable movie and I appreciated the grandmother. Worth adding to your Christmas movie list.

Continues to be a time capsule of America
11 December 2020
The OG Law and Order is a show I watch religiously on Sundance, WE, and now BBC. Still upset it's not readily streaming all 20 season like SVU. With all of my love for L&O, I cannot watch anything until Lenny Briscoe arrives in Season 3 and then Jack McCoy and Lt. Van Buren in Season 4. The same social issues in the 90s are still what we experience in 2020. Definitely one of my all time favorites and will always will be.

Great directorial debut
8 December 2020
This movie was not what I expected but it did not disappoint. I gave it 8 stars for this dark comedy and first outing by Director Anderson Cowan, but added another star for the different POVs and he filmed this. Loved this movie. Nicole Dambro is a potential shining star who was the glue of this movie. It wouldn't have worked without her! Definitely a must see independent movie.

I loved the chemistry
8 December 2020
Some reviewers didn't care for Danica and Dylan together but I thought their chemistry was great. Dylan's twinkle and Danica's doe eyes worked this time. I thought the story was a little different....of course we will always have the typical formula but I still enjoyed how the characters engaged with each other. Great movie! Definitely a must see this season and worth the hype.

I was generally entertained by this movie. I didn't expect it to have an award winning plot, but it had some suspense and good action throughout.
