Eastern Promises (2007)

Tough Film

Film had a compelling story but it was tough to watch. I was expecting more of a mafia film but it was really dramatic and heartbreaking, maybe realistic part of the underworld.

Even though story was great, acting wasn't that good. Yes, english is their second language in the movie, so it's normal to have a broken english accent but everyone talks like a NPC and actors lines doesn't impress you much.

Ending was satisfying enough but seems like it could have been a longer movie, maybe even a mini tv series.

It happens within very few places but has been chosen very well. It gives you the right feeling.

The Edge of Seventeen (2016)

Well Executed

It's really hard see a well executed like one about that transition from being teenage to being adult. Most of the time it's either have overly exposed massages in them like or become really sloppy teenager movie.

But in this one, I felt really natural. More like experience her feelings and discovering along the way, in a way.

Our Friend (2019)

Complex and Shocking

Film is deep and takes you down there with you. But characters are deep enough too to have different plots that continues throughout the film.

Screenwriting is perfect which is the reason why this film is really effective on me, I believe. I can see my self being in that situation and going through similar things.

I don't how i missed this tv show. I just started and watched few episodes but it's original and makes me want to watch more and that's what I need from a comedy show.

Anime starts great until 7th episode. Then continues for the rest of anime and nothing happens until 24th edisode. Every thing suddenly happens without a logic and ands rapidly.

Just don't watch it.

Captain Fantastic (2016)

It have a good plot with a lot of cheesy and over-dramatic scenes that would make it a lazy movie. Other than that a decent movie but not a unique one.

Remake of the Guardians of the Galaxy but with too many things going around that you can't catch up.

It's not that too sophisticated but complicated Even though movie shows everything audiences in a short time but they still makes sure that we hear it verbally like telling to idiots and it takes too much time. It's a mess but not bad either.

Worth to watch if you have extra time ti kill.

Outlaw King (2018)

Real Accurate Medieval Film

I was going to give 9/10 but after seeing 6.9 rating as it is now, I rated it 10.

It's one of the most realistic historical movie I watched recently, with The King.

Instead of fighting scenes with tons of jumps cuts like in other trashy movies, in this film there is even some fights that are single cut.

Every thing is accurate as it is happened in the history which gibes you even more joy to watch.

This movie shows every aspect of what is being like to be king in 14th century with every responsibilities.

Bravo Netflix, great movie.

Charlie Countryman (2013)

One Of Most Interesting Film Ever

The whole move was like perfect trailer that never ends.

I started and didn't even understand when I finished 1:45 minutes movie without blinking. I felt like finished a season of TV show. It have the same taste as The Gentleman feel when you watch it, that I also watched recently.

I don't trust the critics most of the time, you shouldn't trust for this one as well.

Underrated.

The Art of Racing in the Rain (2019)

2 Hours Commercial

I didn't know nor read the book. So I wasn't expecting anything from the film but it wasn't good enough for a movie.

Dog is cute and have great line but making an animal talking in all movie made it like a home appliance commercial. It have lame story story that trying to tel 40 years in a movie, that also makes character build-up impossible.

Seems a good idea but in paper not the screen sorry.

Heat (1995)

Best Climax

One of the best climax movie ever, where Nolan inspired and almost stole from, for Dark Knight.

It's a 3 hour long robbery film with every sides of process, from family relations to revenge. The best part is that It never slows down, heat always goes up until the last second.

Al Pacino played well, Robert De Niro good as well in action scenes but he could play better in other scenes. Also there's a well acted side stories that even makes it more enjoyable to watch.

La La Land (2016)

Reality, Sacrifice

Im not fan of old style musical films but I wanted to see after watching 'Crazy, Stupid, Love.' because they had great chemistery. But It didnt affect me in a positive way because of the couple, but it's because of the story and the way telling.

It really showing the how tough it is to the reality and different from the dreams. Every song is a dream actually in the film and in a way perfect but when they turn back to reality, they need to do some sacrifices and it brokes the best part of it. Everything is the way they want without lefting behind.

Jojo Rabbit (2019)

Great Production but no Satisfaction

I enjoyed the movie, lines was funny. Scenes was great too. Also a great anti-war movie. I would say good cinematography too.

But at the end of film, things doesn't satisfy. It builds the all scenes but doesn't go anywhere.

Fun to watch tho

Making a time machine? Wow really genius! I don't know have many times it done. There is no new added to it too. Before entering the theater, I thought they would come with great script with 350m$ budget but no, it's making a time machine.

Oh and killing the Iron Man, come on. Just to get more tickets by audiences emotions.

Hannah and Her Sisters (1986)

Great Movie

It's a great movie with acting, soundtrack choices and everything.

Normally it's a 6/10 point film but because of Allen I gave 7 but I would give even 8 if It can be 8. Woody Allens role is added later or because he had to play. I thing story line is too complicated for this movie. It would be more around sisters but Allen takes the attention and makes the film little bit confusing.

I listened one of the song randomly and decided to watch it. I glad watched.

I thought it's a great independence film but didn't know that it have 150k budget. It's unbelievable what they did with this low budget and what they could do with a good budget, impressive.

Before Sunset (2004)

It's one of the best written romance film ever I watched yet. It doesn't have complicated storyline or anything. Just walking and talking, don't even a destination while walking.

I always saw romance movies a bit fake, or maybe I just realized it. Because I think what makes this movie perfect is that they didn't talk about only one topic that related to the plot. They just talk, like everyone talks with each other, but with little touches to the plot. I believe that's what makes this movie truly natural and naive.

must see but after the 'before sunrise' of course. I didn't know it was trilogy and watched 'before midnight' first, it was a big mistake and didn't feel movie truly.

Before Midnight (2013)

Over Realistic but Everything Else Perfect

Edit: I didn't know this was a trilogy and watched it the last film as a first film. Fortunately, I decided to watch first and second film and now Before Trilogy is one of the best romance film I ever watched.

----- It have great screenplay and amazing acting.

Comedy, romance, drama, it have everything but because it's too realistic there is no climax.

Unfortunately, I didn't watch 'Before Sunset' so I cannot compare but I will watch it too, it worth it.

So I'm little bit confused. It's great movie but missing something. Even though, because everything else os perfect it worth watch it.

Great Psychological Film

It's about one antisocial hardworking computer science guy and a girl who drummer and also support herself with stripping. This guy offers her money to spend weekend with her.

But because he doesn't have experience, he thinks that if they have good time she will be in love with him.

At the same time she realizes that she became a sex worker after a conversation with her friend

And film shows it really well. Mostly focuses on the face to show the emotions. Soundtracks are great choice, just discovered DJ Cheb-i Sabbah-Kese Kese.

Film Based on True Story

It's impressive that this much good film made with only 5m$ in 25 days.

Actors are unbelievable. Especially when you consider the weight lost in 25 days from beginning to end.

Even if it was not based on true story, it would be still great story.

I like rom/coms but sometimes it's disturbing that films see through rose glasses. In this movie director shows the what love is in real life. I would consider it ends with happy but not love wise, it's more discovering the life and love.

Tom discovering that he thought she will be his only but he doesn't see from her side.

I feel like this film really inspired from 'Annie Hall.' Plot is similar, except the chronology. Also film have a lot of experimental scenes like 'expectations vs reality' or 'the theater' scene.

About Time (I) (2013)

Just Perfect

I was going to looking a cheesy romance/comedy movie but this is something else. I wasn't expecting this movie to effecting me this much.

When you watch this movie you start to question your life too. You see him that changing his life but you know that you cannot, so you promising yourself that you are not gonna do the mistakes that again and live your best.

I loved that movie doesn't go so deep into the time traveling. I think because film is more than that cliché.

It's enjoyable party movie but that's it. It's empty inside and don't have a strong plot but it have good scenes in it. I feel like good quality YouTube compilation when I watched it.

Not bad, if you have free time, won't bore you.
