Hell's Kitchen (1998)
Slow but good and realistic movie
A little bit slow movie about underground life. A guy comes out of jail after a robbery and finds his old fellows. Life is not easy in some places of NY and he'll have to face many complicated situations.
Hell's kitchen is a sometimes hard and slow movie but I've found it to be quite realistic and educative also. Good acting and also good use of the music to put you in the situation.
The Others (2001)
Another great movie from Alejandro Amenábar
After Abre los Ojos and Tésis, Alejandro Amenábar comes back to thrill us with this great movie. The atmosphere, the characters and the evolution of the film are perfect. It might seem a little bit slow, but you get into the film within minutes. The history is correctly presented and you end up knowing about the characters' life, something other films never achieve. Maybe not so scary as many Horror movies, no blood, no knives, no explicit terror, but subtle one. Alejandro is a genius, and we're only waiting for the next one. Run for a ticket, now!
