Enjoyable

The more I watch this new game show, the more I like it. I'm not a big fan of game shows. It's exhausting watching contestants jump up and down like kindergarten children, and the screaming is so annoying. Every contestant acts as if they were only selected because they are willing to act the fool on command. I think Leah does a great job. Everything is natural. She's seems very comfortable in this new role. She truly seems to be interested in each contestant and speaks to them directly and makes them comfortable. She's beautiful, appropriately & well dressed, funny and speaks well and at a normal level. I don't enjoy the loud screaming and crazy announcers. It's a great show where the audience likes to play along and be entertained and participate at home. It's got my vote. Thanks Leah!

No, No....just bad.
12 December 2022
This new version is awful. Maybe if there wasn't a GREAT version to compare it to, it might just be a fair show to watch if nothing else was on. This cannot compare to Beauty (Brook) & the Beast (Mark). It never will. Take all of these mediocre people and invent something else with lower standards. These people have no personalities for TV. Maybe make this a Junior version and make the cast and contestants adolescents. There are some very incredible adolescents who would bring so much to a show like this, without comparisons. Finding a Jack & the Beanstalk "beastie" image would be a fun "Star Character". All those Junior baking shows draw larger family audiences than the ego maniac versions. This is just big people trying too hard. Bad.

A little irritating at times.....
5 November 2021
At first, it was good, Then it became too long and ridiculous. I kept switching sides with the integrity of the characters. The irritating situations started to drag on and on, giving me time to lose interest. Once I lost interest, it was too hard to get it back. If this were done in maybe four or five episodes, it probably would have received a higher score. I did (sadly) find the ending satisfying.....but probably because I lost interest in the true emotions of the story. I'm not even sure who the bad guys were. So, maybe watch every other episode and then catch the last two episodes. I think it will be easy enough to still grasp the story. I do think all the acting was great, so I can understand the inconsistent reviews. I do find that there are so many great shows on all the streaming networks, that I've become impatient with shows that don't move quick enough for my liking.

Worth Watching
30 September 2021
I recommend streaming this series....and keeping your remote close by. The story is good and the cast is fantastic. It just takes too long to get there in some parts. Some of the long speeches and dialogue are great, but others have no value. You'll recognize the useless dialogue right away because you'll lose interest, hence the need to fast forward and move on. Hamish Linklater does a tremendous job, especially on the sermons (not religiously but certainly emotionally). I don't even know half of what he was preaching, I just enjoyed his performance. All of the actors were exceptional.

Not Really Funny or Interesting
1 July 2021
Don't really recommend this show. It's not funny. Sort of ridiculous characters.....husbands and wives. The good reviews gave me hope, so I stuck it out for more than two seasons. I admit I used the fast forward option more than usual. I would have rated the first season a six, but it went downhill a little too quick after that and I began to dislike many of the characters, and then I lost interest.

Not good

Starts going downhill pretty early. Bad scenes are very predictable. Keep your finger on the fast forward button, it will speed up the movie and you definitely won't miss anything.

Very Entertaining

I really enjoyed this series. Fran is amazingly quick witted and delivers an abundance of humorous City life stories. I had no expectations when scrolling for something to watch on Netflix, but this was a lucky find for me. I'm very close to Fran in age and I'm also from NJ, however, have little knowledge of NYC life other than the occasional tunnel rides to "dinner and a show" evenings. I enjoyed Martin Scorsese, especially his genuine enjoyment of talking with Fran. This series has seven episodes, and I'm left wanting more.

Just not good.

The fast forward button on my remote came in handy watching this movie. I lasted til the end because I was hoping Diane Lane would eventually save this film. Don't worry about reading the spoilers, you'll be able to predict them all yourself as you watch the movie.

Too long.....
2 May 2021
For the most part, I enjoyed this. However, if this was done in three episodes, I would have really, really enjoyed this. There's just too much filler with too much silent drama, which caused me to get bored and watch a lot of the middle episodes (3, 4 & 5) on fast forward. The acting was good.....esp Henry and Franklin.

I was just randomly searching thru Prime and came across this film. Being a big fan of DHP, I began watching. I was immediately drawn in and enjoyed every minute of this film. It's extremely entertaining.....making some imperfections excusable. Eccentric and brilliant.

Very enjoyable series. Good cast with interesting characters. Wasn't slow, held my interest. As each episode ended, I kept thinking I'll just watch one more episode........ (finished the entire season in one day).

Bad, just bad.

Bad acting, bad characters, offensive story, misinformation on all ends. Hudson should know better. MZ doesn't know better. Sia, at a loss for words here. Curiosity made me watch, and watching made me sorry I was curious.

Very Enjoyable

I enjoyed this movie very much. Great cast, great and likable characters and an all around feel good movie. Nice escape from what the world is going through now. It's a happy world filled with nice, sincere and thoughtful people working together. I could watch movies like this all the time. I recommend this as a worthwhile way to spend a little bit of your time.

So-So

It was a decent story with a good cast. I like to catch goofs when watching films and will even rewind to confirm. There was no challenge finding goofs while watching this film though. Tons of obvious goofs that take away from the story because they become annoying.....as if no one cared enough to go back and re-take the scene. If the film was really made in 28 days, it could have used a few more.

Extra sweet, not??
6 December 2020
I love all the contestants and can appreciate all their talents. I'm amazed with how well they all keep their composure given the stressful environment. The name of this Sugar Rush series is labeled Extra Sweet. The judges continually knock down some of the presentations because they're too sweet. They will make a positive comment....then comes a "but" or a "however" and then they say .....it was too sweet for me. I'm sorry, are you new to the show? LOL

Great Show, Great Cast
6 December 2020
This show ticks all the boxes. The cast is outstanding. The story nostalgic. I watch this entire series every few years and enjoy it more and more. It's about the characters and the families...it's an emotional experience. It's not really about the sports, not for me anyway. It's a heartwarming series and a nice way to escape into the story. Judge for yourself.

Great Escape
17 November 2020
This movie was a pleasant change from the anxiety of watching current events on TV cable channels. Lately we just watch the streaming subscriptions, and this was another one we stumbled upon while searching thru titles to add to our personal lists. It was an enjoyable movie with a great cast and likable characters. It was a feel good movie, and nice to escape from reality. We have found some great movies and also series to binge watch on the streaming services. We pretty much avoid regular cable TV. It will hold your interest and you won't be reaching for the fast forward button.

Good series.
16 September 2020
I enjoyed this series. I don't disagree that Season Two was slower than Season One, but I liked the cast and the characters enough not to notice. This series held my attention to binge through it, while looking forward to each next episode. I did not fast forward through any scenes, which for me is a good indication that I'm caught up in the story. It's got my vote.

Just. a nice story.
11 July 2020
Mary Kay Place was perfect for this story (as intended). It was just a story of one person's life. It moved along and didn't go anywhere dramatic, however, you didn't have any expectations. The ups and downs everyone deals with and accepts. I liked her character. I was not disappointed.

Enjoyable
4 July 2020
I think the cast did a good job. I found the characters believable and I could feel their connection, so the movie was entertaining. I enjoyed the build up, and I enjoyed the ending. Would recommend this movie when you just want to be entertained and like the characters. I generally enjoy Moore and Baldwin movies, and this also gets my vote.

Disappointing
4 May 2020
Didn't read the book. Started out thinking I was really going to enjoy this series. Kept watching and trying to stick with it hoping for it to take a good turn. Kept trying to like the characters and the cast. Just couldn't quite connect. Reese is always believable and enjoyable to watch. Kerry was over-the-top drama and just depressing. Wasn't believable that Elena could have been so taken by Mia and the giant chip on her shoulder. The kids weren't really from this planet. Episode eight might have been able to salvage something, but it failed miserably. I hate when I hate the ending!

A Favorite
26 April 2020
Baby Boom is a heartwarming story from beginning to end. It's a feel good enjoyable movie with a delightful cast. It's right up there on the list of movies you will watch again and again. A high powered career woman goes from Manhattan to a battered Vermont farm and her life takes off in a whole new direction. Thumbs up.

It's Good.....
10 April 2020
I've just started watching (while social distancing). I'm watching thru On Demand so I only have access to Season 3. I've seen about seven episodes and still going strong. It's enjoyable and would recommend to others. The medical shows are all similar, so it's important to like the characters.....and there should always be a few you dislike to keep it real. The Resident is also available on Amazon, however, not included with Prime.

Very Good
5 April 2020
This documentary certainly held my interest. It's frightening how many dishonest people in power are out there.....all protected by each other. Most of them are never exposed. The honest and committed individuals here are the heroes. These two fraudulent lab individuals just confirm the justice system is severely flawed. This doc is worth watching.

Starts out good......
13 March 2020
First few episodes held my interest and pulled me in.....however, then it took a down turn which picked up a little but then slowed down again. Could have had fewer episodes. There are lots of scenes drawn out with just ominous music and slow camera work. The fast forward button came in handy. I stuck it out, but I rushed to the ending. Wasn't the worst, but wasn't the best either. I liked the cast so that helped.
