Sound of Freedom (2023)
Exceeded my High Expectations
Sound of Freedom is not a horror movie; it's scarier than that. It can haunt you for a long time after it's finished.
It is not a thriller or an action movie either; it goes beyond thrilling all the way to wrecking nerves, doing so without the silly exaggeration found in action movies. It wears you out and gets you to wonder how long it'll take you to recover - how long it'll take for your heart to beat normally again.
Sound of Freedom is not a drama that makes you cry at the end; it compels your eyes to well up every few minutes and leaves you with the urge to sob several hours after it's over.
It's not a dark movie; it's a dark reality. It opens your eyes to the shadows that lurk in this world and leaves you no choice but to contemplate about how much evil exists under the sun. I wonder if I'll ever unsee what it showed me... or if I really should unsee any of it.
When I have high expectations for a movie, I watch it with my fingers crossed, hoping it would meet them. Yet, I came out of the movie theatre completely baffled and speechless. My high expectations had been surpassed. I was avoiding eye contact so people would not understand what was going on in my soul.
I can finally give a rating of 10/10 after so many years.

Black Adam (2022)
Not for adults, Not for kids
Completely devoid of creativity!!! It's like all the clichés of the world were crammed into one movie.... A horrible one.
Seriously.. It seems as though they've borrowed every scene from a different movie.
Too complicated for kids, too long and boring for teenagers, and too silly for adults, who was it made for????
One piece of advice: Avoid it. Save your time and money. It's just not worth it. At all!
Another epic failure by Hollywood. They just don't know how to make movies anymore....
Overall rating 2 stars out of 10.
I wasn't expecting a 9, but also. Not a 2. And I'm being very generous here....
Scream (2022)
Ridiculous
I can't believe I wasted my time on this movie. It's bad comedy. They couldn't have made it worse. It's scary how Hollywood has really run out of ideas.
Britney vs Spears (2021)
Freedom is Priceless
1. Not a flawless documentary, but one that is made with passion.
2. There's something terribly wrong with the courts in USA. I'm glad such laws don't exist in my country.
3. Britney shouldn't just be freed. Her dad and his accomplices ought to pay for enslaving her all these years. Freedom is priceless!
Sex/Life (2021)
Considering Unsubscribing from Netflix
The shows that Netflix produces are just horrible... It's pretty clear what their agenda is all about.
But this show is the worst so far. It's so disgusting, it made me consider unsubscribing from Netflix...
I'm not sure if I should give Netflix another chance or not. They keep failing, miserably.
Cruella (2021)
Cruela Wears Prada
This movie is a mix of many others, such as: The Devil Wears Prada, Maleficient, and Joker. There's one scene definitely taken from Hunger Games.
Overall, this movie lacks originality and is so long that at some point it gets boring.
5 stars for the acting and the special effects.
Hacksaw Ridge (2016)
What a movie should be like
Scarier than a horror movie, funnier than a comedy, more nerve- wrecking than a thriller, and more romantic than a valentine film, 'Hacksaw Ridge' will blow your mind off. Don't miss it for the world.
The characters, the story line, the music... Everything is simply breathtaking and every moment in the movie is worthwhile. It certainly feels much shorter than it really is.
If you're looking for a movie with a deep meaning, a powerful message, and a lot of emotions, all conveyed with excellent cinematography, Hacksaw Ridge is the movie for you. While it may seem like another war movie, it'll shock you by the topics it deals with. It doesn't run short on originality.
Mind that it has an overwhelming dose of violence and gore, and it's not suitable for the sensitive viewer.
Hats off to Mel Gibson. Once again he proves that's he is an extraordinary director. Hats off to everyone involved in this masterpiece.
Probably the best movie in the past 5 years, it's all what a movie should be like.
10/10... it's been a long while...
The Prophet (2014)
A Unique Movie not to be missed!
I bought the ticket for this movie with very low expectations, but God was I wrong!
Soon after the opening scene, I realized that this was no ordinary movie. It's different from any other I've seen... and in so many ways: the mind-blowing messages; the brilliant blending of poetry, music, painting, and animation; and the way it propels one's imagination up to an entirely new level, all the time staying true to the soul of Khalil Gibran's artistic genius.
I highly recommend this exceptional movie to everyone who loves life and appreciates art in all its forms. Being a sensual mind opener, this masterpiece succeeds at making the viewer not only enjoy it, but enjoy existence as a whole too.
Hats off to Salma Hayek, Liam Neeson, Gabriel Yared, and of course Roger Allers.
If you are tired of all the pretentious movies out there, don't miss out on this simple one. After all, simplicity is the ultimate sophistication, right?
9/10 (being the 'stingy with the grades' reviewer that I am)
