Great film
8 February 2014
My partner and I have been watching a lot of these true movies lately, and this is a real gem. It illustrates how society was (and in some parts of the world still is) struggling with true tolerance towards all that is different and doesn't fit into a neat traditional box. The actors are all very convincing, and unless you are of the narrow-minded, intolerant persuasion, you will be rooting for Glenn Close's character throughout! It is beautifully shot, and not overly sentimental, yet very moving. With the current fuss about the Olympics in Russia, this film seems to be timeless and relevant even all those years later. Maybe some societies still need to catch up. If you get a chance to watch this, do!

Definitely Worth Watching
10 June 2013
Given that a lot of European movies - horror or otherwise - take a while to shift into any lively gear whatsoever, I didn't know what to expect. This one gets cracking pretty much from the start and keeps you on the edge of your seat all the way through. Apart from that, it also poses questions of morality in the global digital age, and wonders about internet users' responsibilities. I understand that this is a low budget film, but it looks more expensive, and the makers seem to have made the most of their resources. If you want to see an excellent British horror film with convincing actors and an engaging storyline, then this is for you! Watch it!

Tomb Raider: Legend (2006 Video Game)
8/10
Enjoyable
29 May 2006
I enjoyed the game for the following reasons: The graphics are stunning, and so is the sound (try playing with headphones on!) Easy and relatively short it may be, but especially if you haven't played this before, you may equally enjoy it. Lara is one of the most versatile and possibly THE most acrobatic games character. If you have ever felt utter despair at a character not being able to climb over a bit of rubble or a flower box display, you will love the way she can climb and interact with the environment. The graphics are a leap from the early games, and even though you may be shown what to do next, actually doing it still requires a level of accuracy and alertness that may be a picnic for seasoned gamers but can still be hair-raising at times. Rewards such as one-shot-kill cheat codes help you achieve rather good results in the time trials.
