The Good Cop (2018)
Cancelled???
I personally thought this show was brilliant. A good mix of mystery and comedy. Which is right up my street. I love 'only murders in the building' so I was excited when I saw this recommendation for me on Netflix within a similar genre. I wouldn't say it's particularly clever or anything but really easy watching. And, to me, laugh out loud funny. And I really fell in love with all the characters.
All the negative reviews (not that there seems to be many) seemed to be comparing the show to 'monk'. A previous show by the same creator I believe. Having never seen 'monk', I knew that wouldn't be a problem for me so I decided to give it a go. And I'm so pleased I did. Further proof, that you should always make your mind up for yourself. Never trust someone else's opinion unless they know what you like and what you don't. After all, everyone has different tastes.
To be clear, I'm not having a dig at anyone who left a negative review. I mean, I personally wouldn't waste any more time on a show that I didn't enjoy but that's just me. But if you were to get all your friends together and discuss whether a tv show or film is good or not, how many times do you think you'd all be in agreement? This kind of stuff is subjective. That's the point I'm trying to make. The best advice I could give to someone, is take a leaf out of Tarentino's book and watch everything you can and with an open mind.
Cowboy Bebop (2021)
Stop thinking about the anime series!
Ffs you can't win these days. If you do something the same, people kick off. If you change things, people kick off. If you're going to watch a series or movie based on anime, books, previous films and TV shows etc, best thing to do is to not think of the source while watching.
If all you're gonna do is compare and complain that it's just the same or that it's too different. Then why even bother watching.
And yeah it is rather corny. However, I've a feeling it's supposed to be. I think you'd have to be a complete and utter moron to think otherwise. The cheesy goofball style kinda reminds me of Scott pilgrim. Which I loved. I would recommend this to anyone with a sense of humour, who also has the mental capacity to separate this version from the original.
Kate (2021)
Thoroughly enjoyed it
If you're expecting some cinematic masterpiece then it's probably not the movie for you. It's just a straight up action movie. And I don't know what other reviewers expected but action movies are generally very predictable so why would this one be any different.
At the end of the day it kept me entertained from start to finish. Two great lead characters with a cute but twisted relationship and an appearance from one of my favourite actors of all time woody Harrelson (so underrated). What more could I ask for?
I think it's about time these amateur critics give themselves a shake and do something better with their lives. For real. It's getting sad. If you're paid to critique stuff, fair enough. But these people aren't. Just hang up your keyboards and jog on. Then I won't feel the need to write positive reviews about the films I like just to tell people that they're not as bad as what others are saying.
Kung Fu (2021)
Something fun, light and entertaining
I don't care about all the negative reviews. I like the show. It's just easy watching. Honestly, don't take tv so seriously. It is just a show. There are things in reality that warrant the criticism and concern shown by IMDb users. But I assure everyone that television and cinema are not one of them.
The show is basically about a woman who tries to help people. And I believe that's a book we should all take a leaf out of. There is also a central storyline running through the series. One where the main character is trying to stop the person who killed her mentor from finding priceless Chinese artefacts that could potentially be a source of great power. This is kind of like a race to see who will get to each artefact first which is quite suspenseful.
At the end of the day. It's just a lighthearted, fun and entertaining show in my opinion. It, along with other shows and films allows me to escape the grim reality of everyday life. If I can put on a tv show or a film and it enables me to forget any worries or problems I may have for an hour or so. I don't know about anyone else but I would say that's a good show.
Prodigal Son (2019)
Couldn't stop watching
I'll keep this short and sweet. This show is excellent imo. I only good reviews to tv shows that make me want to watch the next episode directly after watching the previous. And this show definitely does that for me.
If, like me, you're a fan of shows like 'the mentalist', 'lie to me', 'castle' etc then chances are you'll probably enjoy this show. It's in that vein but it does have its differences and it's own originality. However, if you don't like those shows, then this probably isn't for you. Save your time and your negative reviews and go watch something else. Cheers.
Warrior (2019)
Perfect show
I really don't know what else I could expect from a show. It ticks all the boxes imo.
Country Comfort (2021)
Country is cheesy people!!
Yes this sitcom is cheesy and I believe it's intended that way as country music is cheesy also. What I don't understand is how anyone could possibly be surprised that it is cheesy upon watching it. One look at the trailer tells you all you need to know. I don't mean to be rude but anyone who didn't get that from the trailer or even worse, doesn't watch trailers, can't be too bright.
Look if you enjoy corny family sitcoms like 'fuller house', 'full house', and especially 'the nanny' then you'll probably like this show. If you don't like those types of shows, I'd suggest watching something else since you'll just waste your time watching it and then further waste your time leaving a negative review. If you're on the fence, watch the trailer. If you have any intelligence at all, you will be able to tell whether or not it's for you from that.
The Flight Attendant (2020)
No complaints from me
This show was thoroughly entertaining for me, hence the 10 out 10 rating. I couldn't get enough of it. A lot of shows nowadays barely hold my interest so I end up just having them on in the background as I play on my phone or something. When watching this show however, I never once even looked at my phone. It kept me fully engaged throughout. I guess from some reviews that it's not everyone's cup of tea but please remember that it is just a television show. It's meant for the viewers to escape from reality. Not reality itself, where certain things would never happen. I think if you enjoy mystery like myself with a little bit of comedy thrown in then you'll enjoy this show. Also try not to think of Cuoco as penny. She should be able to do other things without that holding her back.
Fate: The Winx Saga (2021)
Binged it
Brilliant. Could not stop watching. It has everything.
Teenage Bounty Hunters (2020)
Awesome!!
I personally love this show. If you don't that's your problem. Keep your opinions to yourself because I'm sick of seeing good shows getting ripped to bits on IMDb because they're not to some people's personal taste. I bet you anything, that I don't like loads of the stuff these people are into but I keep my negative opinions to myself. I'm not a critic and neither are they.
If you take anything from this "review", it's don't listen to all the wannabe critics on this platform. I wouldn't even listen to paid critics. Let alone, these people.
The Craft: Legacy (2020)
Not as bad as reviews.
So, everyone reviewing this film must be the authority on what's good and what's not by the looks of it. As every single one I read is stating opinions like they're facts. No real critics here. Just pure arrogance.
Honestly, if I watched a film and thought it was that bad, I wouldn't be wasting even more of my time reviewing it. Unfortunately in this day and age, we have a lot of wannabe critics and people who simply like to hate on everything. This is why I believe IMDb would be much better off doing away with the user reviews. People shouldn't be told what to think by someone else. They should decide for themselves whether or not something is good or bad.
In my opinion, the movie wasn't great but it was no where near as bad as what a lot of user reviews are saying. I mean some of them are saying they couldn't follow the story and I'm sorry but unless they are incredibly thick, I don't know how it's hard to follow. I'd love to see these people watch something like inception, fight club or hell even back to the future, if they find this film confusing.
It is what it is. A harmless film about teenage witches. It was never gonna be great. It was never gonna win any awards. It's just easy watching. Something to put on if you're bored and running out of things to watch.
I don't usually write reviews. As I say I don't like to waste my time but when I seen how bad some people were slamming it and talking they're king d**k when it comes to what's good and what's not. I thought I'd give a more reasonable opinion of the film.
Stargirl (2020)
Only thing I don't I understand is the negative reviews.
If you don't understand the movie or "it's a miss" as some reviewers claim. I'm sorry to say, but your are a dumb person. Simply because it is not hard at all to understand or follow this movie. It's a touching tale of non conformity. With a hint that maybe we should all get off our phones, (which this generation primarily uses just to hate on things anyway) and actually live life. Enough said.
Love, Guaranteed (2020)
Who is writing these negative reviews???
Okay, so I'm trying to figure out why this film is receiving so much negativity. For those reviews that say they were able to figure out the ending in the first 5 minutes of the film, congratulations. You should have figured it out from the three or four line plot description and the fact that it's a romantic comedy.
All romantic comedies are predictable. So if you don't enjoy that, then what an earth are you doing watching it? It's a fairly silly decision to make isn't it? I think you should really focus less on writing bad reviews and more on brain development. I suggest the elevate app if you have the means to purchase it.
The boy meets girl and they fall in love story will always be the centre of a romantic comedy. That ain't hard to figure out. What's different is the story of how they meet and fall in love. And I for one thought this film had a nice, fresh story of how the lovers meet and get to know one another. I've certainly never seen it before.
If you like cheesy rom coms which I think everybody should once in a while, then this movie is for you. If you're sad and bitter about the world and prefer to be negative, then it's not for you. To be honest, I don't know what is for you. Maybe some anti depressants.
Titans (2018)
Ignore the wannabe critics
I don't understand why people are complaining about the writing?! I'm sorry but if you want amazing writing, then go read a book.
If you want some dark yet fun action then this is for you.
I just don't get these people on IMDb who go on like they get paid to critique tv shows and movies. When the fact is they're just so sad that have to go online and write negative reviews for no reason. It's pathetic. They say they've wasted their time watching said show or movie yet they spend even more time crafting these lengthy negative reviews thinking they're full time critics.
I get it, if this show isn't your cup of tea. Fine. But I and a lot of other people do like it and your negative opinions could lead to lower viewership and the show could get cancelled. So just keep your little opinions to yourself. There's tons of other things to watch so just move on until you find something you do like. If that's even possible. Although, these days, the way people like to whinge and complain about anything, they'd probably end up dissing the shows and movies they actually do like as well.
In my opinion any open minded person who's happy in their own lives should enjoy this show. But hey, that's just me.

The Wackness (2008)
Underrated underrated underrated
If you watch this film and don't like it, there's something wrong with you. If you don't like 90's hip hop and coming of age movies, go elsewhere. 'Nuff said.
Outer Banks (2020)
Every episode leaves you wanting more.
So good I binged the entire series in one day. It just keeps you entertained, on the edge of your seat and constantly wanting to see what happens next.
Well done Netflix. You finally made a perfect show!
Love Wedding Repeat (2020)
Watch the trailer
A lot of complaints about this film because of the situations the characters get themselves into are apparently irritating to some people. You can see from the trailer the kind of things that are going to happen. So why anyone would still watch the film knowing they were going to irritated, just so they could write a poor review, is beyond me. I'm sorry but some people are just incredibly pathetic these days. Or incredibly stupid. One of the two for sure. I'll let them choose. Unless people just watched without watching the trailer, which is even worse.
I found the film very entertaining and very funny. I was in an alright mood when I put the film on and a good mood when it was over. That to me is a good film.
The Gentlemen (2019)
Brilliant
Only thing I want to say is thank god charlie didn't try his awful cockney accent like in green street. So much better and natural in this film. Was pleasantly surprised by his performance. Top notch all round. Thank you mr Richie
Last Man Standing (2011)
Mike Baxter is brilliant.
This show is great for so many reasons. The main one being mike Baxter. As an independent, who would just like to see both sides of the aisle work together and achieve greatness as opposed to fighting with each other constantly, mike is a breath of fresh air. Yes he is a die hard republican. However, he doesn't blindly follow anyone. He takes care of his family above anything else. One thing I love about him is that he encourages his three daughters to do anything a man can do. He helps one of his undocumented employees to stay in the country legally and keep his job, at great expense to the company. Although he argues with his annoyingly liberal son in law, he still respects that he stands up for his beliefs. And even guides him sometimes. These are qualities I believe are in true republicans. Not these alt right people who just automatically disagree with anything the other side has to say. And think that women are trying to take over the world because they want equal pay and opportunities etc.
Birds of Prey and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn (2020)
What were these haters expecting?
Ok, so I don't get all these bad reviews about the film being men hating feminist garbage. 1. It's not that at all. 2. What do they want? Did they want the female leads to be weak and subservient? Did they want the bad guy to be good?
There are literally dozens of male led superhero movies. Off the top of my head, I can only think of three female ones. Including this one. So why are people acting like women are trying to take over Hollywood? For gods sake, they just want the same opportunities as men. I for one, don't see why that's a bad thing. If you're worried about someone taking your job, then you're obviously not very good at it. So stop whining, fix up and better yourself. It's just getting really pathetic now.
This movie is awesome in my opinion. I'm not saying you will definitely like it as much as I did because everyone has different tastes and this is simply my opinion. Not a fact, which is something the negative reviewers fail to see when writing their foul comments. They will tell you not to watch this film. Basically trying to control what you do. I won't tell you to watch it just because I like it. Watch it, don't watch it. Just leave any politics at the door and enjoy the movie for what it is. Fun, action packed and whacky. I didn't go into this movie as a feminist and I didn't come out as one. But I don't have a problem with women standing up to better their lives like some people do. If anyone is so easily influenced by movies and television, then they probably shouldn't be watching.

13 Reasons Why (2017)
Season 3 wasn't as good but still decent.
I know season 3 wasn't great and a lot of people seem to really dislike ani. I can't tell if that's because of the character or because she changed up the show slightly. But honestly, you wouldn't believe the amount of bad reviews I've read on shows that never change or movies that have a similar plot to another. So people aren't happy if things stay the same and some people don't like change. What is a show to do? How do you please everyone?
I personally love the other characters so much, I was just thankful to have a chance to see them grow and friendships blossom. In particular clay and Justin. So I didn't really care enough about ani to let her annoy me.
There was also one user who hated the show all together stating that Hannah was stupid and crazy. They said that your name being on a list is no reason to kill yourself. And that she was wrong to name Alex as one of the reasons. Which lead him to attempt suicide himself. First off, that wasn't the only reason Hannah killed herself. It's one of 13 reasons. The clue is in the name. Secondly, how is it that Hanna is "stupid and crazy" for killing herself because her name was on a list, yet somehow you feel bad for Alex when he does exactly the same thing? And even go as far to blame Hannah for that. If Alex hadn't been a douche and put Hannah's name on that list, then he wouldn't be a reason why Hannah killed herself. People like that only have themselves to blame.
There's a simple lesson in this tv show. Just be a decent human being. Don't go out of your way to make other people miserable. That way you'll never feel guilty about driving someone to that extreme. And it's not that hard. All you have to do is literally nothing.
Dare Me (2019)
Not sure why it's getting some bad reviews
I kinda expected to see some negative reviews on IMDb as it's basically a forum for whiners to complain these days. And since the cast is mostly female I definitely expected some people to see it as pushing a "feminist agenda". But when reading the negative reviews it seemed these people actually did give the show a chance but it just wasn't for them. Which is fair enough but when saying watching the show was a waste of time, why waste more time writing a review on it?? I never bother writing reviews for something I didn't enjoy. In fact I only ever write reviews for things that not only I enjoyed but I feel are getting a lot of hate for no reason. Like I said, this has become a place for people who simply like to complain. Probably more than watching tv or movies. I mean one user didn't like the show because it was about a cheerleading squad. Erm you could see that from the trailer which is something you should always watch first. So they can't really blame the show for their own stupidity.
The show, in my opinion is good. If, like me, you enjoy mystery dramas, I would say give it a go. If it's not for you, move on to something else. If I want a critical opinion about a show. I'll read something by an actual critic who gets paid to point out flaws. Not some random with a superiority complex who states their own opinions like they're facts. If one of those types is reading this, you're not that special. No matter what your mum tells you.
Freud (2020)
You people baffle me
Okay, so why on earth would you watch a fictional tv series about Freud and then complain it's not a biopic. The stupidity of these people seriously knows no bounds. Like anti's who watch a female led film and then complain that the lead is female. Just dumb!
If you want a biopic, don't watch this. If you want a good story, good direction and good acting, give the show a watch. Now you know exactly what it isn't, you can give it a fair chance.
