No Hard Feelings (2023)

They just dont make films like this for the cinema anymore

This film reminds me of the 2000s. This kind of genre which they hardly release in cinemas anymore.

Apparently its based on a craiglist ad which means that the story is not outlandish, the ad actually happened in real life ! Nevertheless I enjoyed this movie.very funny and its nice to see Jennifer Lawrence show off her comedic chops.

I think the age gap is not a big deal at all. They have been making films with way older men and way younger women since Hollywood existed so why is it a problem that the women is older? They both have great chemistry ! Highly recommend this film if you want some laughs with a bit of a heartfelt story!

Lockwood & Co. (2023)

Worth the watch

I hardly write reviews but here I am trying to convince you to watch this show because netflix cancels show that doesnt get enough viewers(?)

Anyway, since stranger things is ending soon :( consider this a sort of a british stranger things. With less characters.

Acting is great.the chemistry among the three main characters is also great.

The main part is really the horror element in it, great story telling and i swear i was spooked up in some eps. It does not seem like a cheap production thankfully.

Even though it is a YA story, i sometimes forget that they are YA because the show is appealing for an adult like me as well.

So, yess this show is really worth the watch.

That '90s Show (2023– )

Worth the watch

I was skeptical at first because i loved that 70s show..but i have to say its worth the watch..the OG characters are not in each episode which is a bummer,but kitty and red are! And i missed them so much! They make it worth the watch..the kids are okay.i dont dislike them ..they basically need to win our hearts cos we loved the OG characters..i guess more eps is needed for them to grow on us.

I was on a marathon of this show and i realised how much i miss the 90s..im an adult so i hardly watch teen shows but seeing this show abt teens without their mobile phones n obsessing abt social media makes it refreshing! N the outfits,the setting,the music reminds me of the 90s..they should never forget to implement this in the future eps(i hope they do renew it!) cause it felt like i was time travelling to the 90s ..

Anyway i hope this show gets renewed cause i wanna see more of the OG cast story hopefully.

Harry & Meghan (2022)

Save your time,dont bother watching

Dont know why people are saying meghan is so brave and good job on meghan and harry for speaking out and telling the truth, and the fans end up attacking the royals ie william and kate..

This documentary is clearly done to how meghan wants it. How she wants to be portrayed. Think about it. It definitely has to go through to her first. So anything admirable u see in this, its clearly what she wants people to see.. dont forget..she was an actress who was always active on instagram..so she likes to have a voice, have the attention.. and what im trying to say is harry and meghan no longer have royal duties so they can say what they want about everyone in the royal family..but yet we have not heard the royal family's side..because they cant..its a bit hypocritical that meghan feels like shes so happy she has a voice and can say all she wants but what about kate? She cant..and she was not born royal too im sure there are things shes not used to when she married william..im not taking william and kates side but do remember this is all meghan and harrys side of the story..and william and kate cant say anything to defend themselves..so please dont jump into conclusions about whos bad or good here but to what i observe meghan and harry do seem like big whiners who r banking on on their statuses and are basically just self obsessed.

The Empress (2022– )

A must watch for romance lovers !

I had to make a search on who the empress was. And this story is based on a real woman. So the fact that this was real made me drawn to watch it. And I have to say I love it. The production is amazing , reminds me of the crown, it looks like an expensive show. Anyway, it clearly has romance so if youre into romantic period dramas this shows perfect for you. But of course its also about the empress who didnt fit in as the typical empress and had to find her ownself and be her own person. Which basically we can all find relatable.

Im sure there were some parts that were fictionalised but I found that Elisabeth and Franz had a number of children but sadly she passed away first and Franz never remarried so Id like to believe that their love was real and long lasting.

A must watch if you love romance !

Virgin River (2019– )

Heartwearming show

I love virgin river! Its a heartwearming show..set up in a small town with a tight community which reminds me of gilmore girls..but of course storyline is different.. the show is centered on Mel who is trying to escape her painful past and thus ends up in virgin river. She meets jack, and of course theres romance. N they are just so cute and perfect for each other. Their chemistry is amazing! But i find myself invested in the other characters of the show too. So all in all , i dont find it boring..The scenery is nice, its some sort of escapism when I watch it. Its a lighthearted show, nothing too heavy as its mostly about the relationships of people in the town. I just finished season 4 and I cant wait for the next season!

Though there is one storyline that gets on my nerves, its abt the timeline of a female character (not mel's) which makes me question out loud, why is she still the same??? Ull knw what i mean when u watch it.. cos u have to give it a shot if you love romance ..

Persuasion (I) (2022)

I honestly dont know why they couldnt just make a modern adaptation of persuasion to make it more current. Like clueless or bridget jones diary..I loved them..why do they have to impose all of that "current" dialogue in a period drama?? Im seriously confused..

Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022)

Nostalgic and just what we need

Honestly some star wars fans are just nitpicking on this spin off. Some of them hated the prequels when it came out n now they appreciate it. What im trying to say is if you love darth vader n obi wan give it a shot and make up your own mind abt it..

There are of course scenes that involves both of them and it was just what we need.im glad how all the actors related to the story came back.

Its not from the mind of george lucas but i still think they did the best of what they could, tying up to what george has created. So yes ignore the bad reviews and just watch it if you love star wars..

Spiderhead (2022)

Boring

Everyone loves chris hemsworth so i watched it and i regretted it. Half way i thought it was bit boring and I thought okay maybe something good will come from this, and then towards the end i was like this is not worth my time. So boring!! Avoid at all costs..watch Hustle instead ..way better..

Firefly Lane (2021–2023)

Highly recommended!

I have read the book and the book is amazing. The series does stay true to the book.of course there are alterations in order to string along the series because the book storyline alone would probably make this a short series (read its renewed for a second season yay!) and also a bit outdated.

Nevertheless sarah and katherine heigl has great chemistry as best friends. The show is also pretty nostalgic though I think some might find how the story shifts different timelines a bit confusing.

Ultimately I recommend the show if you love a story about a female friendship that spans from adolescent to adulthood.

Cable Girls (2017–2020)

Season 5 was unnecessary

I think it should have ended in season 4 actually..season 5 part 1 was acceptable i suppose but part 2 was just completely unnecessary..many other ways you can write about female empowerment, i did not like the route they went down to end. The storyline was also just completely outlandish and bizarre..

The Marked Heart (2022– )

Heavy subject translated into a soapy drama

I chose to watch this show because I do think the concept is interesting, will our heart really live on if it were in another persons body?will it feel the same love? Is the love in your heart something that remains? So there I go binge watching the show as I really couldnt stop.

It was interesting and it is also very dramatic which makes me decide that it is a telenovela( thankfully only 14 eps) .The show also brings light to organ trafficking which is a really heavy and dark subject. Though I have to say I did become a bit bored of the crime scenes.

Ultimately the show was quite heavy to watch. Try putting yourself in Camillas shoes, thats a lot of stuff to deal with isnt it? Realising that the heart that was given to you was a result of a murder of an innocent woman. I feel that the heavy subject interwoven with the drama feels a bit messy towards the end.

Though i have to say theyre all good actors and i like the chemistry between the main leads particularly Simon and Camila.

Give it a watch if you are looking for a short soapy show (theres not a lot of it is there?)

Emma. (2020)

Feels more catered for the younger generation?

I love emma particularly due to mr knightley. So this knightley does not work for me. He seems a little young and does not seem to portray the wise quality he is expected to have.

I feel like the younger generation would love this emma more as it feels like it is catered for them. I am also basically saying the bbc adaptation of emma is way better. The chemistry is way better and i dont know, maybe emma is adapted better through series?

Nevertheless i dont see the point of adapting this story as it has been adapted countless of times already.

Generation 56K (2021)

Nostalgic and romantic

For all those millenials out there, this series will strike a chord with you.it is indeed nostalgic . The story switches from the past and the present and it all gets tied up in the end.if you are looking for a romantic comedy, this show is the one, it is heart-warming. The past storyline reminds you of your first crush and the silliness we all went through as kids..

And i love Italy and having visited Naples before, I love the setting. I read somewhere there wont be a second season,so heads up ,its a one shot.but u wont be disappointed! Sometimes there are series that gets dragged out too long, it will end up destroying the series itself. This show is short, sweet and just perfect !

Emily in Paris (2020– )

Cringe

I think emily is the worst character to have existed on television.i dont hate lily collins but really emily is so annoying.how everything just goes in her way without her putting in effort.honestly dont see how she can be a likeable protagonist.

And the stereotypes in this show. My goodness these stereotypes establishes even more how americans are so ignorant. I know some people just say lighten up its fiction , watch it for some escapism or wtv. Yea its still not for me.

An Astrological Guide for Broken Hearts (2021–2022)

Perfect for rom com lovers!

If youre into rom coms such as bridget jones u would love this series.. its a light hearwarming kind of show. Nothing too heavy which is good because ive been watching heavy dramas before this..its a feel good type of show. The chemistry between the characters are really good too. The show is not too long so it wont take much of your time. I dont believe much in astrology but after this show I have to say im actually paying attention to it more. I suppose if you believe in astrology and love together this show would be perfect for you.

Love Hard (2021)

Boring

No chemistry between the main characters at all.

And its a rom com so it should really just be 90 mins i dont know why it got dragged, so i found myself almost falling asleep.

And its a rom com formula that has been used before i feel. So it was nothing interesting and it was all predictable.

Anyway everything just feels flat with this movie. Netflix romcoms are just bad i suppose.

How did this movie get made? I love rosamund but really this movie is just bad..unrealistic...maybe theyre trying to make it feministic? Strong confident powerful woman?But seriously its not..i kept fast forwarding to the end which is the only best part of the movie..and why is it a high score in Rotten tomatoes and also here? Are these ppl getting paid to give good reviews??? I see nothing good in this movie except maybe rosamunds psycho gone girl acting..but yup just the worst film ive watched this yr

Mirage (2018)

I didnt expect the movie to be amazing!!ive seen the director's other previous movie, the invisible guest and i loved that one too..but this one, I loved it more than I thought I would..has elements of time travelling, crime, thriller and romance all in one. Must watch!
