Cadaverella (2007)
Not as bad as they say
Most people are REALLY exaggerating about this movie. Sure, it's low-budget and the special effects are laughable, but it's actually a rather good movie. Watchable, at the VERY least.
Cinder is probably the least-likable Cinderella character ever. They really picked the wrong character for that role. Her poor coworker would have fit the bill much better. The kills are mediocre, there's a lot of boring filler, and the voiceovers are terribly unbelievable. Most of the characters are more like caricatures, extreme stereotypes and I guess are supposed to be ironic and funny, but come off as uninspired.
Still, worth watching, especially if you like horror versions of fairy tales, or like laughing at bad effects with your friends.
Easter Bunny, Kill! Kill! (2006)
Ending made it worthwhile
This movie started VERY strong. I was immediately taken with Nick, the special needs boy. He was completely endearing. The torment he endured built the suspense all the way to the first kill. The scenes with the pedophile were the most frighteningly tense in the entire movie.
Then... things got dull. During the middle, the parts with all the blood, I was so bored I almost turned off the movie.
Thank Heaven I didn't. The multiple-twist ending brought the whole thing together. I suddenly understood why some of those people got killed, when it seemed there was no reason for them to die. I admit, I got the warm-fuzzies.
This is a movie that's going on my Easter Viewing list every year (and a few times in between).
