Ask ve Ceza (2010)
Beautiful love of the leads
I see a review on here that seems to have missed the entire plot of the show. A man and woman meet at a bar after she is betrayed by her fiance. She loses her virginity to him and becomes pregnant. He can't forget her but didn't know her name and has no way of finding her. After a few months his brother and father die in an accident and he becomes leader of his tribe. To save the life of his sister-in-law he agrees to a legal marriage but promises to never touch her and tells her they will find a way out of the marriage. He has absolutely no obligation to her and she has agreed to this from the start. It isn't his fault that he's a great guy and she begins to have feelings for him. He is not cheating on her, but loves the mother of his child. Yes Cicek was put in a terrible situation, but he saved her from death at the hands of his father.

Why must shows deviate so much from the book
The country visit held so many possibilities, and yet the screenwriters failed to take advantage of the two most dramatic moments from the book??
The garden scene with the bee was so tame and lackluster when compared to what the author wrote..... And the thunderstorm scene ugh. It was such a dramatic scene that brought the characters more understanding of each other and emotion. They totally dropped the ball.
And Edwina never had an emotional investment in Anthony in the books, and yet they have her pursuing him like crazy and getting engaged. It doesn't make for better viewing, it just frustrates those of us who loved the books. I expect changes of course when a book is adapted to a show, not it's sad to see them fail to take advantage of such potential.

Books are always better
I loved the book.... But the show has lost the depth and nuance the book had. Kate in the book is witty, funny, clever, and you love her. That hasn't translated to the screen. They've even changed her last name and age, just why??! I understand sometimes they make changes to make things more dramatic, but that isn't the case here. They've lost most of the word play that created the chemistry between the characters. It's very disappointing.
I would recommend that anyone who hasn't read the book yet, please do! The author makes the characters come to life and you will smile and laugh out loud reading it..... The show just can't compare.
When Calls the Heart: Rock, A Bye, Baby (2022)
What a finale!!
Seriously, this was even better than I expected!! Nathan and Lucas actually bonding, a fire, a proposal, Henry's redemption!! I laughed, I cried...... It touched my heart. It would take a heart of stone not to be affected by the scene between Henry and Joseph!! It was amazing!
Under a Lover's Moon (2021)
Were we supposed to like her?!
My husband and I started watching this movie, but the female lead was so annoying that we had to turn it off. She was self absorbed and terrible. Usually there is a redeeming quality somewhere that you can see that makes you want to watch and see if she comes to some realization of how she needs to change, but we couldn't see any positive in her at all if I can't root for the main character, I can't enjoy the show.
When Calls the Heart: Recent Memory (2022)
Best so far!!
I know I feel this way every week, but this was the best episode so far! Elizabeth's birthday with Lucas and little Jack singing to her, the sting to take down Walden, Nathan and his gun skills chasing down the bad guy, and so much more! Talk about an amazing show!
When Calls the Heart: Hope Valley Days: Part 2 (2022)
My favorite episode so far this year!
I won't give spoilers, but this show had so many heartwarming moments!! The hour passed by so quickly, and I didn't want it to end. There was something for everyone in this episode, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a feel good show.
A Tail of Love (2022)
Such a heartwarming movie
This was one of the best movies I've watched this year! It touched my heart, and it's one I will watch over and over again! The dogs were adorable, and the love story was believable and sweet. I enjoyed live tweeting with everyone during the premier.
When Calls the Heart: Hope Valley Days: Part 1 (2022)
Hope Valley Days
So much going on in Hope Valley! From Mei's "husband" coming to town trying to get her arrested, the Canfields trying to buy Abigail's share in the cafe, Anna confiding in Elizabeth, Hope Valley Days, etc, there was a lot happening.
There's a good reason this is two parts, definitely too much to fit into one episode! My favorite of course was Lucas asking Elizabeth if she had thought of a fall wedding, and Elizabeth asking what he thought of a spring wedding..... So ready for an engagement!!
When Calls the Heart: Past, Present, Future (2022)
Wow, the town is changing!!
Lots of changes happening in the town, and not all for the better!! New people coming in with bad manners, traffic congestion with all the automobiles, etc. So much going on in this episode that I don't even know where to begin. It went by so quickly I will have to watch this a few times to get all the nuances. My favorite quote however was from Bill that I think applies to today as well "People who get upset with the truth might be living a lie."
This episode is definitely worth a watch!!
When Calls the Heart: Journey into the Light (2022)
So much going on!!
This episode has so many heart warming moments! The complete torn around of Landis to a character I can actually like, thanks to Minnie and Angela was brilliantly written!! Nathan and Allie bonding and her calling him Dad. Lucas and Elizabeth drawing closer (I'm sorry, I know some complain that the pillow fight was childish but my husband and I are in our 40s and we still hit each other with pillows so I could relate)
The last few minutes of the show were so touching! It just keeps getting better and better and I want to thank everyone who brings us such a wonderful, wholesome show!
When Calls the Heart: Straight From the Heart (2022)
Oh wow, my heart!!
Watching Lucas take care of little Jack, pulling him in the wagon, reading a bedtime story to him (Robin hood, the character he wanted to be when he was little) was so touching!! You could see Elizabeth's love for him growing as she watches him care for her son. Her breathless "I love you" as she watches him sleep, tired out from caring for her son, is priceless. This was an amazing episode.
When Calls the Heart: Turn of the Page (2022)
Amazing writing
Obviously there were some things in this episode that upset former viewers, namely the storyline of how hurt Elizabeth was when she got bad reviews that attacked her personally instead of just her book. This was art imitating life, which is why Erin was able to show so much hurt in that scene, she had lived it herself. It was beautifully written, and showed how much words can hurt or heal (Proverbs 12:18). It should make all of us analyze our words, and how they might affect the people around us. This is what impresses me constantly with this show, the fact that it has small teaching moments that make a person want to be better.
When Calls the Heart: Out Like a Lamb (2022)
Small moments add up to big moments
Despite a concerted effort by some disappointed fans to discredit this show, the writers have shown that small moments are important and meaningful. Sadly some seem to have missed the point, calling the episode boring. The writers are still building up the plots for the season, but many things happened in this episode that were important. Elizabeth and Lucas became closer, after she tells him that small gestures are just as important as big ones. Mei is the only one who can get close to Nathan's horse after the accident. I won't say more and spoil the show, but it's worth a watch.
