Fun sequel

I was never a fan of comedy/slasher genre I usually find these lame and boring...

But this one got me really entertained. I had fun watching every minute of it. The characters make it so easy to enjoy it no matter what the plot will eventually turn out to be.

Great ensemble

I always pick a Jason Bateman movie. This guy makes every movie fun to watch.

However I have never seen him performing in a drama/comedy genre like this one. I liked him here. He managed to pull out the drama scenes and remain funny as usual.

The cast along with him is likeable. Relatable stories.

The plot twist where the mother turns out to be lesbian wasn't expected at all.

It's a good-to-go movie.

The Burning Plain (2008)

Smart but slow

I loved how the stories are connected. How at first you'd think it's a three different stories drama, but throughout the movie you realize they are all tied up together.

The twist knot is held by three talented charismatic actresses.

You can be really surprised of how much friends are willing to do for you. This is the message behind it.

I really admired Amber's ambition also how she doesn't give up.

When you're aiming for messages like these, you need to put more details and power to the movie.. which I did not get in this one. The message was delivered to me, but I wanted to feel something more. I didn't.

When the chemistry between a 14 year old and his babysitter is better than his chemistry with a 14 year old...

I don't usually go for a comedy/slasher movie, but I really liked this one.

It doesn't hold that much originality but it definitely holds a lot of fun.

And it's enough for me to see funny cute characters goofing around to enjoy a movie like this one.

Otherhood (2019)

Fun movie, delivering a good message.

This movie not only makes mothers nowadays feel great about themselves, it also delivers a very important message for their kids.

Fun movie. Fun characters. What I liked most about it is how they managed to show how they party and have fun without making them look aggressive like other "let's go drunk" movies out there.

The Wrong Missy (2020)

Disturbing...

Yes it had a lot of cringe moments where I wanted to punch Missy in the face. No it's not as bad as you think if you're searching a movie to pass the time.

It definitely had many mistakes. For instance there are people who have good and bad qualities as well, but I couldn't believe someone could transform from being a very weird and disturbing person to someone cool and calm during the last 30 minutes or something.

It definitely had some funny moments as well.

Don't change so people will like you. Be yourself and the right people will love you. Yes, romantic comedies have a way of providing us with the right message.

Although in real life, one can easily delete an email sent from her own email... This movie is really enjoyable. I had fun the entire time.

I learned to love seeing new faces in movies... at least new for me. And after this one I learned to never pick a movie based on critics and their ratings, or audience as well.

Even if it is too much at times, it is very funny and it holds many important messages.

The lead Nasim? I found her very talented as a comedian.

All in all, if you're not too judgy and ready to enjoy a fun movie this one's for you.

Tully (2018)

Relatable to many struggling mothers out there!

Great story, but you feel like something is missing.

Charlize portrayed the role of a depressed woman trying to escape her present-self by imagining a better younger version of herself. And she did it perfectly, if only the story had more originality to it.

The two leads are very cute.

Yes it's not a heavy and strong plot, but it sure is enjoyable.

Then again rom-coms aren't supposed to be heavy, all it takes is cute faces, fun characters and some hilarious laughs to sit back and enjoy; and this one has it all.

In my opinion this one is good because Jason Statham got to show his special moves and how he is indeed the perfect fit for all action packed rides out there!

Isi & Ossi (2020)

Fun & Sensitive at the same time

In this one Love takes two people with totally different lives and personalities but the same feelings for each other in the end.

I think the two leads did a great job in this. Especially in delivering their characters and how different they are.

The story is kinda new in the rom-com style. The dialogue is also kinda funny.

Plus I actually had some tears in the final scene where Isi arrives and supports him I thought his face was very expressive and the scene was emotional.

Love, Guaranteed (2020)

Charming.

The plot is new. Found it lame at times because if we're being realistic there is no such case in the real world, but the charm and dialogue are what lifted it up and kept me going for it.

Nick Evans is indeed the perfect gentleman. This charming actor has a unique way in acting I liked his performance. Susan is adorable and she fits the lawyer role.

Booksmart (2019)

How every mature teen movie should be.

I totally enjoyed this movie. And what I liked most about it is the way it managed to show its maturity and keep the good laughs along the way. And this is how you can easily tell that there's a talented smartass maker behind this book, and that is Olivia Wilde.

We are used to teen movies centering around two best friends, but we are definitely not used to those two. Their chemistry, personalities and fun characters succeeded in making this a bumpy ride.

The Nick-Ryan twist was one smart move. Continued by Amy's intimate scene, it delivered the twist I waited for.

The whole movie is enjoyable and it's unlike any teen-comedy cliché. It's a smart book indeed.

The Half of It (I) (2020)

Very mature

I found this one to be very mature, from the way they portrayed Ellie Chu's personality and character, to the storytelling.

Many people can relate to Ellie's character, how she's smart but also sensitive, how she's sweet but doesn't try to fit in; just living in her bubble with her little secret.

I like Aster too. How's she's a pretty girl but so down to earth. How she's this deep person who sees people for who they are.

Then again the whole story is about the beauty of understanding each other and feel things with each other, and it's beautiful.

Not that much to enjoy, but one cannot deny that this is a special one in terms of cinematography, landscapes, colours and way of acting.

One cannot deny the characters' cuteness either.

One downside that is has which that it's too slow during some moments.

But overall it's a good one. Doesn't need a third part though...

The Kissing Booth 2 (2020)

Fun, enjoyable movie

What I liked most about this movie is how mature it is for a teen genre.

The story offers nothing new but what's new and smart seems to lie in how each character handled every situation. The story is also very much relatable.

I feel Joey King is going to have a promising career in the teen genre we like. She's very normal and she doesn't over do it. She delivered the role perfectly.

Lee is so adorable and I really began to forget they were acting seeing how real their chemistry was.

I really had a soft spot for the new faces Marco and Chloe. Chloe just owns it. She has this awesome personality and I was sure she was going to keep it til the end of the movie. Marco showed nothing but sweetness and I could tell by his last words "yes, she is" that there is going to be a third part and he's going to be in it.

All in all, I rarely have fun watching a movie I usually keep my focus and forget to just enjoy it... but this one was indeed a blast!

The Expendables (2010)

Awesome ride

It's really exciting to see iconic actors star together especially in an action movie.

No matter what the plot is you never regret a minute of it.

And this one is an adrenaline packed roller coaster.

I really enjoyed the final mission scene. I always love and admire Jason Statham's moves. And Sylvester still moving and fighting like that? it's really nice.

The Perfect Date (I) (2019)

You cannot hustle without being grateful... That is the message and it's a very powerful one.

I have seen 3 movies starring Noah Centino so far and I must say he's a real fit for modern teen movies coming out these days.

This movie really showed his talent. This one's story him mostly. I found it very creative and new.

Laura is super funny and you can see the chemistry between the two leads.

The Italian Job (2003)

Nice ensemble and great movie

I always like to see an action movie centering around a nice group of actors.

The cast is perfectly chosen especially Charlize and Mark.

Although it's not an original plot, but it offers one hell of a thrill ride.

Best part of the movie was Charlize's punch ... such a relief !

Captain Phillips (2013)

Amazing thriller

It's never an easy task when performing a true story, but when you have actors this talented.. it's always a promising one.

Tom Hanks is very known for his well-done performances and he did an amazing job acting as Captain Phillips; but the surprise was Barkhad Abdi's performance along with the other guys but him especially since he was the captain of his own crew, he offered an outstanding act.

Not all thriller movies succeed in giving you the chills that you wait for, but this one came packed with all the chills you could ask for and the best part of it all that it's a true story.

The Last Summer (2019)

Not bad..

I dunno what I have towards K.J. Apa, but I find him so adorable and close to heart. His acting likewise.

The story evolving around friends, lovers and family dramas is a good one. It's neither too little, nor too much; just how it's supposed to be.

Phoebe and soccer guy really surprised me. Phoebe and her reaction when she found out the truth was a bit too much. Soccer guy and his cheating surprise made me hate him because at first he seemed very sweet.

The nerd guys' technique for fitting in was really smart I liked it.

Overall the movie is nice, many relatable experiences and could be enjoyable.

The Kissing Booth (2018)

King grew up so fast! maybe too fast...

The entire movie is ordinary, it doesn't meet any new original teen stories.

But it does have some laughs where you just go on watching it and enjoying it.

Joey King is a funny one, although one cannot deny her going a little too far to fit in. I'm not here to judge her but I think it was obvious.

Plus Noah looks much more older than her and I'm not just talking about the height difference, which is also hard not to point out.
