Blindness (2008)
The novel by Jose Saramago (Blindness)
It's taken from the novel, and for those who read the novel, they will tell that the novel was so much deeper in taking you through the darkness and the misery of that white blindness. The novel has so many meanings that I feel I can't even express here in few words, but the movie tried to intense the sequence of events to be 2 hours and they could do that in a very good way.
Reading the novel would be great for the people who liked the movie.
However, I love the movie so much!
What I didn't like about the movie that in many scenes the actors or actresses didn't act well that I could see that they were only acting and that was so disturbing during watching and being so indulged in the feeling.
Revolver (2005)
Enlightening!
Our biggest enemy that lies inside of us; The ego.
The movie shows you how does it affect you and how destructive it can be..I like how clear it shews the ego madness especially in the elevator when the lights went off and he was left there alone with his ego.Once you face your ego it dies and you are reborn and that keeps happening all our lives.
The movie is really worth watching and so artistic when it comes to colors and videography. <3
Smultronstället (1957)
Meaningful & Philosophical
From my point of view; the movie is trying to preview a life span of a person starting from the very sweet childhood going through youth as feelings and energy overtakes everything inside a young person. After that comes kind of a dark place which is elderdom; where everything seems lost and fading. When you must face yourself and your reality alone! It's time to harvest your life fruits mainly about your inner self that you were distracted away from it during most of your life.
So the movie is a beautiful journey through life in the form of a story in a movie. I do recommend it.
A Dangerous Method (2011)
why is this movie made?
I watched the full movie, but I still didn't get the purpose of it!
Why was this movie made? was it just to attract watchers as it's about Carl Jung and Segment Freud? Or it's to give the watchers hints to let them research more about the dangerous theory? Is it normal for me as a watcher to finish the movie asking myself why did I watch this?!
When I finished I thought that there must be something wrong and I had to read many reviews and articles about the movie to make sure that I know what's going on with this movie. But I found out that many people have the same opinion as me.
I'm so upset that the movie didn't focus more on Carl and Segment's lives because they are why people want to watch the movie! and instead of showing Carl as a cheater or as an insane person sometimes, they could've shown us what happened later during the second world war or maybe they could've explained to the watchers more about the dangerous theory or Carl's or Segmet's opinions and lives... Again I keep saying that maybe the movie is just to give us hints so we start to question more and research to get the information or something.
OR maybe the movie is to show us how great people like Carl Jung did wrong things from the perspective of the society or religion but that didn't stop them from being great at the end.
What was so good about the movie is the colors of every scene, every scene looks like a painting. not only colors but the videography and the shots of it.
And the actors are very very good!
The movie is so artistic.. I could say it's a piece of art.
Of course, after watching it I'll read more bout the characters in it and I'm getting to know more about the Spycholoanalysis that Segment Freud came out with, which Carl was using with his lady patient in the movie.
The movie could have been so much better from my point of view.
