The Real Red
24 April 2023
This episode was everything the Blacklist stands for. One of the storylines came to an end. We got to see the real Reddington and the way he usually does the things. The Taskforce simply could not comprehend anything that was happening in real time. Every actor involved was tricked by Reddington including us: the audience.

Raymond's acting is soo soothing. Now that the show is getting to an end, an episode like this is exactly what we needed to remind us of the greatness we have been a part of.

I do not like the storylines occuring within the task force, and I have always said it, and I will say it again; the only storyline that matters is that of Red.

A perfect episode. Every last detail of it.

Mayor of Kingstown: Staring at the Devil (2023)

Survival

Great episode. The show is pacey, multiple interesting storylines that oftentimes intertwine with each other.

The horror of gun violence is also depicted in this episode. The show is starting to show its true potential. Aiden Gillen "Littlefinger" did not say a word but his cold look was enough for this episode.

The 'we need a Sweden' bit was humorous, so there is that dark comedy as well. Acting is top-notch.

The only problem that I have is with the character arc of Iris. I believe the show could have gone on with out her. Taking an order has been pretty hard for her on several times.

Hoping for a great rest of the show.

RE: Jamie Dutton.

I do love the show but it is getting ridiculous with Jamie out here. He has betrayed the family in any which way, and he is doing it again. I would not mind to see later that Jamie was just playing her (Sarah Atwood) and 'has changed'. So, let's wait and watch. But I don't know, I don't think the writers want to play it like that.

I hate Sarah Atwood but that is probably a good thing.

A filler not a thriller - this episode. A lot of scenes could be removed and ignored but the episode has a sentimental value to it and that I liked. The show has been slow this season for the most part, but it MUST regain the pace now if it wants to end in the perfect way.

Great cinematography, too.

Better Call Saul: Saul Gone (2022)
Season 6, Episode 13
1/10
Ridiculous
15 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Saul taking 86 years instead of 7 years is outright stupid. The initial sentence or plea deal did not include anything that would hurt or implicate Kim Wexler. Because he told them 'B. S about Kim Wexler' after the airplane scene (and that was well for the blue berry ice cream xd). Moreover, the tainted reputation of Kim Wexler would remain the same in any case.

So, taking 86 years doesn't makes any sense. Moreover, the show was better call Saul and not Better help Kim, so even if something was implicating Kim, which there wasn't, Saul should have gone along with it. That is what his character arc in Breaking bad and better call Saul tells us.

This is not a bittersweet ending. Walter white had a bitter sweet ending. Jesse had a relatively good ending seeing that he is alive and physically okay. This was an ugly ending. This is what happens when you try to be extra-unique.

I am huge fan of this franchise but this just doesn't cut it. Totally stupendous.

Ozark: A Hard Way to Go (2022)
Season 4, Episode 14
2/10
My take.
30 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I heard Jason saying the ending would be satisfying. In actuality, it was the total opposite. Cliff-hangers only.

1. They introduced a character several seasons ago (Nevvaro) and the whole story revolved around his money being laundered (he was the head of the cartel). He then in turn was made likable to the audience, or at the very least, familiar. In the end, Omar Nevvaro was replaced by his sister - the lady who tried to get him killed, and in the end, succeeded with it. Totally not worth it. Totally not logical either.

2. In the whole season and not just this last season, the script for the kids was poorly written. Point one is - they are really devoid of reality. Secondly, they should learn to shut their mouth and stop ruining everything. It's agitating and frustrating and doesn't look real. People can make real mistakes but this show failed to show that.

3. Wendy - Worse than Skyler?

4. Marty was good at it and Marty and Nevvaro combo could have saved it for both of them - I believe. There was no need to introduce the new characters such as the Grandfather, mother of Nevvaro's nephew, and friend of Ruth. Ruth's character arc also changed by the end - and not in a good way. Marty's intelligence kept going downhill this whole season.

Long story short - I liked the show generally but the end is what really makes the show great and unfortunately, Ozark didn't make it for me.

Over and out!

Dexter: New Blood: Sins of the Father (2022)
Season 1, Episode 10

This was just silly.
10 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Dexter did not have to kill and run out of prison. There was no factual proof against him. He needed a good lawyer may be. Batista might still have been on his good side. Acting innocent is what he has done all along 9 seasons. Disappointing. Another season bites the dust.

Well, with him gone, there is no need for a next season, unless this was someone's dream xD.

Bye bye Dexteri.

Over and out!
