Lincoln (2012)

He owns it

Lots of actors have portrayed Lincoln in film,on stage and television. Daniel Day Lewis WAS Lincoln down to the most minute details. It was easy to watch , fascinating to see and superbly shot By Speilberg. It will stand the test of time. Many will try, but no one will reach Lewis' level of perfection.

I couldn't look away

Heartbreaking. The only word that can describe this. The really telling thing is that this plays out all too often in America. The acting is really quite good. Andie Mc Dowell is unrecognizable as the mentally unstable mother, as each heartbreaking decision Alex make s revolves around her daughter. We have all known someone in this predicament, we probably just don't realize it.

Seriously. Is this a joke? From the opening graphic to the closing credits this makes "Springtime for Hitler" look like " Citizen Kane"
