Expected more...
2 September 2023
The movie doesn't offer more than the previous ones. I personally enjoyed the first two movies much more and I can say I didn't enjoy this one.

I can't deny that film has its strong sides: the music was perfect, especially that melody which plays during the more tense scenes. There are a few perfectly placed jokes which add more to the movie. Denzel's performance was once again amazing! The other actors were also OK.

The main reason I didn't enjoy this film as much as I thought i would do is that it was way too brutal for me. Not the whole film but I personally think that some scenes are unnecessary brutal and bloody. I also expected to see more new stuff but I was again a bit disappointed. It felt kind of repetitive. It brings nothing new to the the other 2 films. Some moments are a bit prefictable. I felt like I was watching one of the new Liam Neeson movies. Well, not that bad but you get the point.

If you are OK with this level of brutality then you will most probably like the movie. In my opinion the first movie is far better than this one .

Undercover (2011–2016)
7/10
A bit overrated, but still a good watch
17 November 2022
Undercover has become maybe the most iconic TV series of the twenty-first century. When it came out, it didn't grab my attention, but now I decided to watch it after all. I can agree that "Undercover" is good, but not as good as the reviews and the rating show it. And here's why: Let me start with the positive sides of the series. The acting is on a very high level(if we exclude Ivailo Zahariev). The emotion, the suspense, the action, everything was brilliant. Also, giving small roles to Bulgarian celebrities was quite unexpected for me. There were some superb plot twists during the 60 episodes, which are made pretty well. Some of them weren't so unexpected as others, but that's normal, I think... And finally the music- it was well selected, and all soundtracks are on a top level.

The main issue for me is the acting of the main character, Ivailo Zahariev, especially in the first 3 seasons. He doesn't express the emotions as good as he is supposed to. After season 3 the plot becomes pretty much boring. The same actions over and over again. The original ideas which we see in the first episodes is gone. Even in season 5 " Undercover" is carried by the witty and cool catchphrases the actors says. Yes, some of them are good, but we are not in the 90s any more. Another thing is that intro isn't quite suitable for a TV series. It doesn't show you anything, doesn't catch your attention and to me seem a bit bland. But this isn't a big issue.

In my opinion, the creators tried to milk the series as much as possible, which made the series a bit boring a some point. Even season 6 was announced, but I'm glad it didn't come out. Everything until season 4 was perfect. If " Undercover had maybe 45 episodes instead of 60, it would have become famous worldwide.

Overall, "Undercover" is a good watch. In my opinion, we, Bulgarians, overexaggerate because our other TV shows are terrible. So, yeah, good, not perfect, but you will definitely enjoy it. :)
