The Chosen (2017)
Jesus As We've Never Seen Before
I have always wanted to know more about the personalities of Jesus and his followers. When I read the gospels you gain a lot of hints, but this gives one a visual and believable tribute. This show uses integrity, wit, and has an authenticity about it that is refreshing.
I've watched the first 8 episodes, but have watched a few of them 2, and some even 3 times and hopefully watch all many times.
This first season takes place before his ministry and the very earliest stages of the ministry.
It has the quality of film that makes it comparable to the best of any genre.
It is not on the same level as other Jesus films. Much better! I have recommended it to many and the ones who have actually watched it have said they love it.
I usually do not give 10 stars, but this is an exception.
The Wonderful World of Disney: Ruby Bridges (1998)
I'm glad I watched this.
I like real stories and this won't disappoint as far as the story itself. The way they told the story seemed disconnected a few times, but that happens frequently when you're trying to see months of someone's life in less than 2 hours. There were a few scenes that were difficult to watch because of the hatred in them, but it was mild compared to the way it truly was, I have no doubt.
Sunrise in Heaven (2020)
Worth Your Time
If you like stories based on true ones, this is a great one to watch. At times it seemed to move a little slow but I think it was necessary.
It reminded me some of The Notebook because it switched back and forth from the present to their early days when they met and were dating.
