The Killing of Kenneth Chamberlain (2019)
Well made drama.
All the chaos and confusion that took place who can see reason? It was sad to see an elderly man already suffering being treated in such a cruel way. All unnecessary the men in question should be ashamed of themselves and have the decency to stand up to their crime. What a tragedy. Well done to the team who made this drama it was very well made and a very moving film. I just wanted the harassment to stop I thought how much longer? They are going to let up any minute now but they kept on and on and on. Crazy!! I sat their watching the police escalate the situation without a cause. I sat there and there was nothing I could do about what I heard and saw, just like the bystanders. My condolences to family and I hope they find justice.
Three Pines (2022)
Excellent drama
A well written drama with a very good cast unknown except for Alfred Molina who is such a wonderful actor. It is so it nice to see new faces with very good acting skills. The community in Three Pines were just brilliant just what you would expect to see if you play a game of Cluedo. What an excellent story line with a location to match. Draws upon real issues and historical facts in that neck of the woods and reminds us to not forget this group of people who have been so mistreated.
The root cause of pride, selfishness and greed always a motive for a murder.
The police teams' chemistry is just brilliant the sergeant Nicol just has me laughing she is a really good rookie cop and Jean-Guy forgets he was one, perfect.
If there's another season I'll be watching 👀
The Silence (2010)
Dysfunctional on many levels.
Well made drama at first I was not sure which parent was related to who but as they story unfolded it was made clear. The main character Amelia has an hearing impairment she witnesses a murder. The drama is set around her experiences after having a cochlear implant we have an insight to how she copes with life in general.
Okay.....She stays with her uncle who is a coppa and his family because the therapy she is receiving is closer to their residence. She is hanging out with her cousin Tom who really does not give a michael about her. I mean who leaves his vulnerable cousin with a guy who he knows is a pervert, who takes advantage of Amelia and coerces her to perform oral sex on him? What gets me Amelia's father claims to love her never thought to tell his daughter to protect herself from perverts who might take advantage of her in this way. Her cousin when he finds out just brushes it off and does nothing to stand for his cousins honour.
This girl was being traumatised on many levels she witnesses Rocky and Jane at it in the public changing rooms then Jane is murdered. Because of her hearing issue the men or should I say boys, pretty as she is, her impairment just attracts the perverts fascinated by her for the wrong reasons.
Amelia also has mother issues to add to the mix
With a lot of twist, backstabbing and silence will they ever get to Janes' killer(s) ?
A well written, acted and produced drama, with family, social and moral issues raised.
