Tracker (2024– )

You won't be surprised
13 February 2024
There are multiple reasons why Reacher is so popular and one of those reasons is they're not forcing the alphabet soup down our throats. What does Tracker do, they immediately force the alphabet soup on us. They didn't even bother making it appealing, instead they went very butch. Off the Jump Tracker has a suspicious agenda feel to it. Great shows tend to get people interested in duplicating them, which is what happened with Reacher. Tracker fails. If they made every effort into making a creative and entertaining show rather than allowing their political, ideological, and alternative lifestyles influence the product it may have had promise. I wouldn't be surprised if it's canceled. Although, I am very surprised Equalizer hasn't been canceled yet. So maybe it'll last for a few more seasons.

So much promise
2 July 2023
I love shows about time travel, Syfy. So I was excited for this project. It's decent enough, but with some glaring issues. The first is the sound. It's difficult to hear the dialogue. The actors are constantly whispering on top of loud background noise and music. Why are the actors speaking so low? Secondly the lead mumbles and whispers all with the background being louder. I've been tempted to put the subtitles on, but I shouldn't have too. These are enough to almost make it unwatchable. And why is it every single series/movie has a need to interject something like, I'm Brown, or they're white, or saying something like white people sarcasticly? It's as if Hollywood/Entertainment Industries are subtly getting people to think it's normal to insult a particularly race. I think it was the 1st episode, might have been the 2nd, George is asking Archie why she didn't go back to a timeline and she replies something to the affect, because I'm a brown woman. Enough of the division. Lastly, why is every relationship mixed? It just comes off as forced and not natural when it's so easy to pick up on the agenda. There is absolutely nothing wrong with mixed races, but stop forcing it. Forcing stuff into projects takes away from the show.

It's Not Bad
3 February 2023
First let me set some of the previous reviewers straight. Just because an athlete retired doesn't make that athlete washed up. EVERYONE RETIRES. Danny Amendola is a 2x Super Bowl Champion. Dwight Howard is an NBA Champion and has an Olympic gold medal. The other athletes on the show are just as accomplished. Show respect for these incredible athletes.

As for the non-athletes, I have respect for some. Hanna Brown, Kenya Moore, get my respect. These two women have great will and determination. There are two who didn't get to show what they could have done because of injuries. The rest I would agree with those who say there's too much crying and whining. Jamie Spears may be the worst, she's totally on it just to be on the tv screens.

The obstacles they must overcome are legit. And they must overcome while drill instructors are in their faces yelling. It's fun to watch how they respond. It's also nice to see how these very rich and privileged individuals experience or get a taste of what our real heroes who serve go through.

Plagiarism

Hollywood has really lost most of it's creativity. They all live in this bubble where they believe everyone lives, thinks, and believes what they do. It's because of this bubble of bobble heads they can't see how it's affecting their projects.

This movie is a carbon copy of It Follows. Clearly no one attached to this movie said to the crew, "Hey, wasn't this done like 8 years ago?" Instead the entire crew is bobbing their heads, patting their backs like they've created something original.

It's a shame because most of these actors in the movie have good to great talent. To end on a positive note, there are two or three good jump scare moments.

Hilarious
27 July 2022
Prior to Joe leaving it was a 10. I could be in the worse mood and this show makes me laugh. I literally can watch every rerun over and over. My family loves the show and the entire cast. Many times we just have the show on while doing other things around the house.

At the same time we can't escape the fact that the show is nowhere near the same without Joe. Joe's absence hurt the show. The guest comedians are not working. Unless they find a better solution, this will be canceled. Let's face it, there isn't a better solution then convincing Joe to return.

We all know Joe's public statement as to why he left. I don't buy it. I believe there was another reason. Maybe a conflict with his friends, the show, or maybe money. It definitely wasn't because he got divorced and to spend more time with family. The guy is now traveling more doing stand-up, comic shows and other events. He's traveling more than he did on the show. At least IJ was for the most part near home. It doesn't add up. My guess is a contract and/or money disagreement.

Btw, for the anti-Americans and those that aren't American it's an American show, with Americans, in America. Speaking for Americans, go pound sand.

Fun Ride
24 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The last sentence is a spoiler, so don't read if you haven't seen.

Lots of times we watch movies simply for entertainment, to escape our realities. This is that movie. It's fun with action from start to finish. The actors look like they're having fun just as we are. There is never a dull moment.

Ignore the overly negative reviews. For some reason they were expecting like a Shakespearean or an Oscar favorite. I suppose people think they're some professional movie critic. Well, even the professionals have head scratching reviews. These people are way too serious and take movies too serious. And the great thing about this movie is it never takes it's self serious.

Watch this movie with your popcorn and snacks and you will enjoy it. It's probably a 7 star rating, but I gave it a 10 for all the too serious criticism.

I'm not a Chris Evans fan. I don't like him outside of acting but, he does a good job. And I thoroughly enjoyed watching him get beaten and killed.

Embarrassingly Bad
15 July 2022
A High School play would be better than this. It's hard to believe people put up money for this garbage. It is so bad that it's embarrassing. Honestly it's so bad there should be a negative rating, like a negative 10. Every single person who had something to do with this junk should immediately look for a new career.

The Terminal List (2022– )

Excellent
8 July 2022
Great series and it was also a great representation of the book. The book was actually more violent than the series, but it was still amazing. The sequel to Top Gun and now The Terminal List is more proof the vast majority of America enjoy movies and series without all the check boxes. Just make great material and that's exactly what they did with this.

The only negative has to do with how dark they made it. What I mean by dark is the filter or the lack of brightness to the picture. Even the daylight scenes had a dark tint to them. And yes I have an up to date tv with all the bells and whistles. It was annoying so I had to watch it when it was completely dark outside, turn off all the light in the room and then it was ok.

Not Good
30 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Why is it so difficult to find good actors for these Star Wars projects? The acting is really bad and so obviously forced. One of the worst scenes you'll ever see is when bounty hunters are chasing the little princess. It's really really bad, like B-Movie bad. It's so obvious the actors playing the bounty hunters were purposely running slow, and when they could easily reach out and grab the annoying little princess they don't. There are many but, this scene in particular didn't require a retake by the director? This really says a lot about the director and it's all negative.

Ewan McGregor (Obi-Wan) and Rupert Friend (Inquisitor) are the only highlights. Of course they kill off Rupert Friend's character in favor of the horribly forced angry Moses Ingram (Reva). Maybe her character would have worked if they had a better actor.

Give it time, it gets good
10 May 2022
I had to edit my review because I was a bit impatient with the "gunslinger" part of Billy the Kid. I understand trying to be historically accurate but, this isn't a history lesson or the History Channel, which by the way gets a lot wrong. There's a lot in this series that either didn't happen or they altered for entertainment purposes. Like I was saying, this is not a history lesson, sit back and enjoy the entertainment it's worth it.

The series is really good. Very good acting. The scenery is beautiful. Personally, I think the pace is just fine. Love the legend of Billy The Kid.

Skip this and watch Old Henry. Old Henry is an instant classic and deserved the Oscar nomination and win. If you're into westerns, don't waste your time on this ridiculous movie.

Instant Classic
28 March 2022
This western should be what Hollywood is talking about and awarding. Instead, all the praise is for a weak, woke The Power of the Dog.

This western is an instant classic and in my opinion is a true Oscar winner.

Checked The Boxes
14 March 2022
About the only thing they did was check all the boxes to appease those who represent those boxes. Never mind creating a good product. They put all their attention into the boxes.

Paramount should wrap this up and quickly move on to making quality material and stay away from trying to make all the boxes happy.

Just below average
26 February 2022
You don't need a big budget to be able to make an average or above average movie. For those that use the excuse this movie only suffered because or give it credit for the low budget are delusional lol.

Who decided on the cast? It's not a good idea to cast a 28 year old as a high school teen. Kyle Allen doesn't look 17 or 18, not even close. They don't even try to have Kyle act like a teen. What teen no matter where they're from speaks the lines they gave Kyle?

Joey King who I thought was a very good actress, seemed to over-act most of her scenes. Her laughing scenes were forced and very noticeably fake. Although it might be a bit easier to cast a 20 something actress as a 17 year old, once again it didn't work.

Is there a shortage of talented high school age actors?

The location Avalon, New Jersey is original and a great idea. However, they only showed small, very small sections. Avalon is beautiful and they could have took more advantage of the location.

I also thought the music in the movie was very good, much better than the actual movie itself.

The movie turns out to be good background noise.

Not much to it
22 February 2022
Loaded with several filler minutes, just taking up time. Fillers for a 6 episode series. That's right, only 6 episodes.

This has great potential. I have no idea what their plans are, but they struggled to manage just 6 episodes. Maybe they weren't finished due to all the COVID restrictions and they rushed out what they had. Maybe Australian's tyrannical government forced them to shut down.

Let's hope the writers are able to put together a full slate of material for something great.

Blatantly Bad
20 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
From the very beginning they insult white people (they're all white but 1), they insult Texans, they criticize guns and those who bare arms, they insult cops, they insult anyone that isn't like themselves a bunch of white guilt liberals. They try to take a page out of Halloween as Jamie Lee Curtis hunts down Michael Myers. No surprise there, Hollywood is lazy with very little originality.

Three stars for the gore after killing ALL but 1.

Lazy script Lazy directing
23 December 2021
In fact, just about everything here feels lazy. The writing is bad, really really bad. The actors try to do what they can, but they too appear lazy. The horrible script was just too much to overcome. I did notice quite a few other reviews wonder why did the actors take on such a mess. I am asking the same. My only suspicion is they took this miss for the money. Not that they're hurting for money, they just wanted this pay day. Why else would they accept such a disaster?

I'm not giving any spoilers, because there aren't any. There literally isn't an answer for anything. Not an answer for questions left from the original 3, not an answer for unnecessary questions in this one. It's all very confusing and not in an intellectual way. It's confusing in a messy way, a lazy way. In fact, this mess is as confusing as the writers and directors are confused. Their confusion bleeds all over this mess.

At least we have the action, the cgi, the music...NOPE. Nothing here improves on, and in fact seems inferior to the original.

Watch it on HBO MAX to see for yourself. Don't spend the $50+ at a movie theater to only walk out feeling cheated.

Title is misleading
11 December 2021
This series is not about Hawkeye. It's all about Kate Bishop. I had expectations that they would dive into Hawkeye's past, his life and explore his character. Instantly you will notice this is nothing more than an attempt to springboard Kate Bishop. If they would have been upfront about their agenda and named it Kate or something referencing her, it might have been ok. Unfortunately, it's nothing special. Btw, most of the 7,8,9,10 star ratings are fake. Probably paid for for Disney.

Waist of a great story
5 December 2021
Another great story destroyed by todays lazy agenda driven Hollywood elites. They took a classic and changed genders and race of characters. Why? No other reason other than to check boxes. No reason to wonder why it was canceled. On to the next destruction of classics.

It's not a Hawkeye series
29 November 2021
I'm not sure why the title is Hawkeye. This series is all about some young rich 120lb girl, Kate Bishop. The only reason they gave it this title is to get people to watch it, I don't know. Disney has spent so much effort in checking all the woke boxes that they've sacrificed creativity. Disney is all about catering to gender and race instead of producing quality material. It's very apparent when it comes to Disney masculinity is bad. I'm not expecting Shakespeare type material and I get and I'm all for fun action make believe stuff, but how in the world can this tiny young girl beat up, toss 200lb men around like rag dolls? She was punched and thrown into walls and not one bone broke? If she was Wonder Woman I'd get it, but this girl has no magical powers. Disney has ruined more than they have created quality material.

Hollywood Can't Help Themselves
26 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Right off the bat and out of nowhere without any relevance to the story they made Aaron Ashmore's character gay. Not just gay, they had him move around and speak feminine. They removed all his masculinity. His entire character is different from the first season. Why? If his character was gay from the start of season 1 ok, but he wasn't. So how doesn't this add anything positive, any relevance, any depth to the series? Quick answer, it doesn't. It only serves the ignorant woke.

GO SEE IT AND ENJOY A FUN NIGHT AT THE THEATER
19 September 2021
Ignore the boring negative ratings. Some people literally are expecting Oscar, Shakespearean material every time they go to a movie. Let's face it though, the Oscars has lost it's value years ago. The only people giving this movie negative ratings are the only ones still watching the Oscars.

This movie is a popcorn flick. It's fast paced, action packed, with humor and actors having fun. It's not breaking any new ground, but it does everything very well. This is exactly the reason to go to the movies and see this particular movie.

It also does a great job staying away from all the typical lazy liberal forced alphabet soup of lgbtqa+, and white people bad, cops are all bad, America is bad crap. All involved just made a fun, exciting movie. Too many times Hollywood forces these things into a movie, forces it on the viewers.

Support the new lead actress and all the talented actors by seeing this movie. Go into it knowing it's a fun rollercoaster ride and you will enjoy it. Ignore the boring no fun uptight reviews.

Revisioned History
4 September 2021
Who doesn't like watching and reading about pirates, it literally has everything for everyone's interest. Personally, I thought the special effects were decent considering the budget constraints. On the flip side of that it is confusing why Netflix with its massive amounts of money and resources along with the History Channel's assets they couldn't wow us. The acting I thought was decent as well. Those are the 5 star reasons.

A big reason this took a negative hit is because of the production quality of another docu-drama, MARS. MARS was, possibly still the best docu-drama made. When comparing the two side by side, it's not even close. Another major downfall is it's false historical depiction. How can these so-called historians look in the mirror and call themselves historians? They got a large amount wrong. Did they even read a single book? Or did the purposely not stick to facts? Don't label this historical when it's clearly not. There's too many examples to list so just go read up, but an example is the treatment and subject of slaves. The Caribbean Pirates freed slaves, yes, but they also sold slaves. It literally depended on the situation and the benefits at the exact moment. They had zero goal of implementing what the radicals today call social justice. They were not social justice warriors, they were more opportunist. The Spaniards bought and brought more slaves to the Caribbean and South America than did the British. Today's historians for some reason want people to think white people were the only race that had slaves. The atrocities committed by the Spaniards on the natives of the Caribbean Islands, Central and South America are continually omitted. All slavery is bad, but tell the history as it was. Don't exclude, change or even gloss over it. Another reason this docu-drama isn't great is it leaves too much out or on the table. Endless amount of factual stories or questions they either skipped or rushed.

If you know the historians used in this are mediocre at best, it's ok to watch. It's hard to dislike anything about the telling of pirates.

Ungodly Slow
27 July 2021
I really wanted to like this especially when I saw Sarah Levy and Tennille Read star in it. The two are legit talents, but they can't safe this slow as molasses series. Good luck staying awake. Don't watch at night because you'll be snoozing. The other characters I just don't care about and nothing they do makes me interested.

Unless something major changes this will be short lived.
