What is going on??
27 February 2024
At the beginning the plot makes sense the lead has to live with the trauma and the change of a new environment but then they focus too much on the romance and i just don't see why.

On some scenes the "pain" that she feels is completely overlooked she even seems bothered by her own feelings, it is just unrealistic and flat, how is she supposed to have any depth to her character?

The romance is like a contest, who seems less bad or annoying. It had potential truly and it's frustrating to see. It made me constantly feel the need to skip scenes which i did not do and now i regret it.

So i ask myself: What is going on? And where is the story supposed to go?

I dislike being a hater but i sat down for half an hour trying to find one good thing about it and i just can't, i see no reason this should be popular even amongst 12 year olds. My little sister said we should just watch those videos of guys making underground houses in the jungle instead.

Also should we pretend Cole doesn't look 10 years older than Jackie?

At this point i just want to see the actors on other projects because i do see their potential that is the only reason why i gave this a 4 and not a 1.

The Tourist (2022–2024)

Simple and great!

I avoided watching this because i felt i had bigger expectations for it than deserved but it proved me wrong. The Tourist is the story of man trying to rediscover who he is after losing all of his memories due to a car crash. It is well executed, you get invested and root for the good of the main character even if it seems disaster follows him for a reason.

You get to know pieces of every character's stories trying to understand how everything fits together and the humor is great, it is almost as if the absurd was another character playing a crucial part in the story.

The scenes felt complete you truly dive into these remote places and the people living there. There are things/characters to hate which is an accomplishment on its own as it gives a more realistic experience despite the obviously fictional.

It's a short and fairly simple story that truly manages to do exactly what you would expect in terms of quality, the acting is also perfect for the story and very well done. If you are a binge watcher it is the perfect sunday evening mini series to enjoy.
