Nothing Special
11 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
A man goes carzy after his father commits suicide because of him, fools a group of people to follow his dilusions and they're all rewarded with super-powers for not killing each other in the journey. They follow a stupid rule of not killing criminals while getting slaughtered by their enemies sending young super-powered people to their deaths.

The usual I hate my father for giving me super-powers and not understanding me or letting me be so I'm going to drown myself in sex and drugs to take revenge cliche of all teenage super-hero movies.

Story could've been told in two episodes.

A Soap Opera Masquerading as A Sci-fi
3 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Complete waste of time for any true sci-fi fan. The characters lack depth and all their decisions don't make any sense! Here are some of the stuff that really bothered me with the show after only watching a few episodes:
  • Two guys simply decide to mutiny with no support from any of the crew? And they only tell them after the fact? And then they force everybody into accepting it?

  • What is a government official doing on a humanity saving mission?

  • A loud obnoxious loud woman, the Michelle character, whose only purpose is to make everybody tense?

  • The hologram character is completely unbelievable. Should be more robotic, he's just too human making him completely unbeliveable.

  • Why doesn't she just tell everyone that she killed the guy in an act of self-defense? Even the weirdo computer agreed with her.

  • People taking their masks off on a foreign planet? Come on...
  • Another loud obnoxious woman with a reality-type-show demands answers directly from the president? Who is she?

  • The guy takes his daughter directly to the alien-ship which is definitely a break with the protocol. A movie like "Arrival" handled the alien ship site handling much better.

  • Only one guy in charge, with three more scientists, handling the communication with this ship? Again "Arrival" handled that much better with scientists from all over the world working on deciphering the alien code.

  • People mining an alien world for life-saving mineral with no time to spare decide to flirt with each other? The background of the characters is explored in the most annoying times while they're supposed to do other more important stuff.

  • The computer trying to understand the reason why she killed the guy is just completely unrealistic.

Stop putting spaceships in stupid shows and pretending this is sci-fi.

Disappointing

Warning: Spoilers
This is not how space works. At least I hope not! Astronauts don't mistrust each other, don't have hidden communications with their countries to force a hidden agenda, control rooms do not get suggestions on what to do from sick guys outside, they are freaking clueless! The whole mission is more of a fight between the astronauts than a cooperation to explore Mars. Don't waste your time watching unless you're into soap operas. Has nothing to do with sci-fi

How It Ends (2018)

Don't Bother Watching
7 August 2020
Warning: Spoilers
The first ten minutes were fine, but then it took a steep dive downhill. A lot of unnecessary scenes like when they stopped at the deserted water park, like when they left a train full of military equipment, like the stop at the friends house at the village where they didn't even bother looking for a doctor for Tom's injuries, like why the hell did he burn the car when Tom died? It's like a collection of scenes that should be in any typical apocalypse movie but with zero effort put in the plot. You can imagine the writer being oh we'll start with this mysterious apocalypse and a father and boyfriend looking for their daughter/girlfriend then poof, that's all I got!

According to Jim (2001–2009)

Your Average Home Sitcom
4 September 2006
Yet another "family" sitcom. I usually categorize sitcoms in four different groups: funny, family, girly and redundant. Most sitcoms being in the last category, redundant...

According to Jim is one of the funniest sitcoms around and is a really great way to spend half an hour in front of the TV. What makes it so great is James Belushi "Jim" and Larry Joe Campbell "Andy". These two are the engine of the whole show. Cheryl is the typical boring trying to be funny sitcom actress, I honestly don't know why most women in sitcoms are not at all funny, sexy maybe, but funny? very rare. Dana is a little funnier than her. The two little girls are absolutely gorgeous and to me are the cutest little things on TV.

A great show really.

Warning: Spoilers
This is yet another sitcom that is trying to play on the "family problems" string. Well, people, its enough. We have already had a lot of sitcoms like this and nothing is going to beat stuff like "everbody loves Raymond" or "Malcolm in the middle".

Grig and Kim who are supposed to be the center of this show are the most boring thing in it. Grig enjoys humiliating his brother-in-law in every possible chance and sometimes for no reason at all that the whole situation loses its comedy. Kim is not at all funny and is trying to look neurotic, something like "monica" in "friends" bus she fails miserably. Atually, if it wasn't for Jimie and Christine the show would've been a complete failure. Jimie is the really funny guy in the whole show and his son too. Christine is just hot! and she's one of the few women on TV who are truly funny! Its a nice show to see between to other sitcoms to fill up a half an hour gap in your life. But would I stay at home to see it? Absolutely not.
