I was bored with this movie. After the alternate universe "Superman: Red Son", we get yet another version of Superman's beginnings in Metropolis, except this time, he's fresh out of college or high school, I don't know. I found the story to be tired. The characters to be tired. Nothing worth praising in this one.

Are the positive "reviewers" paid or bots? There's no way there are so many positive reviews about this movie! The opening scene ... 2 "sailors" discussing the difference between sirens and mermaids and how to catch a mermaid, and somehow they CATCH a mermaid, chop her in half ... and oh, yea, there was a psychotherapist hidden as a stowaway on the ship?!! Why? So, the mermaid is captured, brutalized, yet ends up in an asylum? Why? She was cut in half, then sprouted legs? Anyways ... the premise is complete nonsense!
